    Complete 50 missions

  • How to unlock Hitchhiker

This will likely be your last achievement, but there are a few important things to be aware of that make this achievement very easy.

Firstly, the following three things make progress towards this achievement:

    1. Completing a normal mission
    2. Completing a challenge
    3. Completing a tutorial mission

So yes, you could literally replay the 6 tutorial missions over and over to unlock all achievements related to completing a set number of missions. Since you need to complete challenges too though, and they only pop up every 2 or so normal missions, you'll have to complete normal missions too.

The second important thing to know is that if you're struggling with a normal mission, you can quit out to the main menu in the upper left corner, and when you go back into the game you'll have a different mission. More on that below.

The third important thing to realize when doing normal missions is that you can pause, which stops the timer, and still scroll around. So as soon as you start every mission, the first thing you should do is immediately pause, see where you are, see where the destination is, and then move forward. More on that below too.

So I recommend first playing the six tutorial missions so you understand how the game works. That will give you 6/50 towards this achievement. Then go ahead and play normal missions with the purpose of working towards your 10 challenges you need to complete, as well as leveling up to level 20. Once you get to level 20 and finish 10 challenges, if you have all other miscellaneous achievements done, it's probably quicker to just replay tutorial missions until you reach 50 missions completed. For me, I had finished around 35 missions by the time I finished everything else, so I replayed a bunch of tutorial missions to finish off the last of my missions.

As far as completing normal missions, every mission really comes down to one thing: are the 3 direction power-ups you have enough to get you to the goal. As soon as every mission starts, immediately pause so the timer stops. Now use the checkered flag in the upper right corner to see where the destination is and trace it back to your position. If the mission takes you through more than 3 intersections, then you'll use up your 3 direction power-ups and will have no control over where the car goes. So if this is the case, you can either attempt the mission and rely on luck, hoping the vehicle will take the right path at an intersection, or reset the mission by quitting to the main menu and reentering the game to get a new mission. If there are 3 or less intersections, then you're golden and the mission is a piece of cake to finish. Just use boosts whenever possible, and keep in mind that while using your one overtake power-up your vehicle will boost, which can be handy to travel even farther before you get kicked out.

One last thing to keep in mind is that the GPS turns the road blue to guide you to the destination, but it will always take you on the shortest possible path. This shortest path though may involve many turns and intersections, so I never used it for normal missions. I would scout out a path manually that would get me to the destination in 3 or less intersections. I highly recommend doing this to avoid the GPS taking you on a path that has 8 intersections so there's no way your car will randomly choose the right direction each time.

Once you finish your 50th mission, whether it be a normal mission, a challenge, or a tutorial mission, the achievement will unlock.
