Introduction
Kane and Lynch is a third-person shooter in which you play as an ex-mercenary, fighting your way around the world just to say sorry to your wife and daughter whom you haven't seen in a number of years as you have been on death row. The campaign in this game is not very difficult and even on the hardest difficulty you easily get past it with a little patience and using cover wisely. There are no major glitches but some achievements tied in with the multiplayer can be a little inaccurate when it comes to how many rounds you've won/lost and how much cash you have earned. Sadly, this game does not have online co-op so you will need to play locally to earn a few achievements and you will also need two controllers. This game has been given a 7/10 because whilst the online related achievements are not difficult, they can be quite time consuming.
Step 1: Local Co-op on Hard
The first thing you will want to do is start up the game and load it up on Morphine difficulty, this is just another way of saying Hard difficulty. This is also the best point to net the ''End of the Road'' achievement, which is awarded for completing the game in co-op. Along the way you will earn story-related achievements and at the end of the game there will be an option to either take off with Jenny in the helicopter or go to the village and rescue the rest of your squad. At this point choose to go with Jenny in the helicopter and you will unlock ''Damned if you Do'' achievement. Once the achievement has popped go to the dashboard and then load up the game again and replay from the last checkpoint. Once you come back to the same choice choose to go to the village and rescue your squad mates. You should unlock the ''Damned if you Don't'' achievement as soon as the choice is made and when you have finally rescued your squad you should unlock both ''Iron Flower'' and ''End of the Road''. (Assuming you were playing cooperatively.)
Step 2: Mop-up
There are a couple of miscellaneous achievement in which you have to perform certain feats in certain missions or even gain a certain amount of headshots. Each achievement is explained in fantastic detail in the achievement guide and you should have no trouble understanding it. However, there are four achievements where you have to be playing as Lynch (2nd Profile signed in) to net them. These being: ''Bullseye'', ''Berserkopath'', ''Boomstick'', ''By the Grace of...''.
At this stage you should be sitting on 600
Step 3: Fragile Alliance (Multiplayer)
There is no quick way to gain the multiplayer achievements, other than visiting the achievement trading thread and finding some boosting partners. The one that will take the most time is ''Veteran''. It involves you finishing 200 sessions, as either a merc or a cop. The rest of them you will need to kill traitors, grab a certain amount of loot and play on all the different maps. The achievement guide explains them all and you shouldn't have too much trouble. One thing to remember though is that if the host ends the game session early then all of the stats you earned in that session will be lost.
Conclusion
If you have been following the roadmap then at this point you should have 1000. If you have missed any achievements then you can always use the replay chapter option to finish them all up. As for the online achievements they are available anytime but you should really play at peak hours because the online has a small population.
