Introduction
Welcome to Kung Fu Panda. This game has a total of 39 achievements and requires two playthroughs to get 1000 . One playthrough at Master difficulty and the other at Dragon Warrior difficulty. This is because the difficulty achievements do not stack. Of the achievements, only 2 are unlocked simply by playing through the story. The rest require you to either collect/complete everything in a level (100%) or perform other tasks.
Cheat codes in this game DO NOT disable achievements. So unless you are actually playing for the thrill of the game or feel it's cheap, use them. Go to the extras menu to input them. The ones you'll need are as follows:
Infinite Chi - Down, Right, Left, Up, Down
Invulnerability - Down, Down, Right, Up, Left
4x Damage Multiplier - Up, Down, Up, Right, Left
Step 1: Prepare for Playthrough #1
First of all enter the cheats mentioned above. Next, familiarize yourself with the collectibles guide that is posted here. Following that guide will give you the "Level ## 100% on ____!" achievements. Also make sure you familiarize yourself with the achievement guide.
Step 2: Playthrough #1
Start a new game at the Master difficulty. For this playthrough don't worry about getting hit or dying. That's for the next playthrough. As you play, make sure to follow the guide linked above. Play your game until level 10 then do the following:
Once you get to last part of Level 10, you will be in a pit and be required to close 8 trapdoors. DON'T CLOSE ANY YET. Instead, Panda stumble around and around. Doing this will give you 6 coins per kill as long as you stay stumbling. Even after a wave is dead, continue to stumble as an infinite amount of waves is coming. Repeat the process over and over until you have enough coins to purchase all upgrades. Remember you can upgrade while doing this by pressing start button. This will also give you the 60 second stumble achievement. After this if you don't have the chain combo achievements. Let the enemies all get close to you and just use fast or strong attack to kill them all.
After doing the above, continue following the guides and complete this playthrough.
Step 3: Prepare for Playthrough #2
Once again ensure you have entered all the cheats mentioned above, open up the collectibles guide and prepare to follow it once more.
Step 4: Playthrough #2
It is now time for playthrough #2. First, start a new game at the Dragon Warrior difficulty. DO NOT save over your Master difficulty playthrough. For this playthrough the big thing to remember is DON'T DIE. If you fall in water, off a tree, off a cliff, etc it counts as a death. If this happens reload your save and you'll be fine. Missing a button sequence DOES count as a death as well, so if you miss one reload. You'll also want to do the level 10 coin trick again to at least max out your Panda Belly Slam. With this in mind, once again follow the collectible and achievement guides and complete the entire playthrough. Also note that enemies in this playthrough will be slightly tougher to kill than the previous one.
Step 5: Untouchable Achievement
The last thing to do is get the "Untouchable" achievement. This is the hardest achievement in the game. I recommend using your Master playthrough with maxed out stats before trying the guide's technique. This is because the dummies will die easier in master than dragon warrior difficulty. Good Luck and don't get too frustrated.
Conclusion
That's it! If you're at this point and have not gotten any of the achievements simply open up a save and use and
to choose a level to play again. Like I said before the game is pretty quick and easy to complete. At least Jack Black's narration injects a fair amount of humor into what would otherwise be a very generic game.
