Introduction:
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. While Guardian of Light was available for Xbox 360, Temple of Osiris is only available for next generation consoles and PC. After the success of the predecessor, which sold about a million copies, Crystal Dynamics decided develop a sequel and improve the game play to add up to four-player coop.

Despite keeping largely the same game play from Guardian of Light, Temple of Osiris gathers slightly less positive reviews. Never the less it's a pretty fun coop game that offers few fun hours at a budget price.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Most of the achievements will be earned as natural progression towards the "Tomb Raider" achievement. You will need to complete every level and every challenge within that level.

Multiplayer:
There are a few coop-related achievements that can be earned offline with a second player.

Two achievements are best tackled with four players in local coop. There two being "Couch Party" and "No worries, I got this." The latter can also be achieved online, but you will probably need to boost this.

Playing online is only required for the "Long distance relationship" achievement.

Mop-Up:
The game features a hub world and all tombs can be accessed from there, so you can not miss anything.

Conclusion:
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has very straight-forward achievements and it's not hard to complete the game while having some fun along the way. The only hurdle might be the four-player local achievement. If you play straight for the achievements you can gain the full 1000 in about eight hours.

Treasure chests can be found throughout the game. There are also about a dozen chests at the end of each tomb, so it's impossible miss these. To open them, you need gems who are gained naturally by playing the game. Once you have 100 gems, find one of the brown chests and press  to open it.

See "I love tombs!" for additional info.

  • Find your first weapon

Weapons are found in various tombs. Some are hidden but most of them are pretty much unmissable. You can also earn weapons by completing challenges. The achievement will unlock after you gain your first weapon, which is probably the MP located in the first tomb "Pyramid of Osiris." After you complete the puzzle with the two fire balls, there will be a cut scene showing a bridge being extended so you can progress with the level. The gun is on the bridge.

  • Complete all Challenge Tombs

Challenge Tombs are special tombs that feature no combat. You will need to solve a puzzle to complete them. The puzzles are easy and shouldn't pose any problem.
You can find the entrances to challenge tombs within the hub world and you will most likely stumble upon them sooner or later. You can also press  to enter the configuration menu and use  and  to navigate to the map tab. The approximate location of challenge tombs are marked as a white star.

  • Wear two rings and an amulet

You will gain rings and amulets by finding them or completing tomb challenges. Once you gained two rings and an amulet, press  to enter the configuration menu and navigate to the inventory with  and . This menu is self-explanatory. Select the items to the appropriate slot and the achievement will unlock.

  • Collect enough canopic jars to unlock an onyx weapon

    (3)

Canopic jars appear in the game world at locations at which someone on your friends list who also owns the game has died. The canopics look like grey jars with a slightly bright shimmer. Pick up five of these and the achievement will unlock. This also works in local co-op.

  • Complete all challenges

    (2)

Every tomb has various challenges that will be shown at the start of each tomb and in the configuration menu by pressing . Every tomb has a timed challenge for complete the tomb in under a certain time limit and a gold challenge for gaining a certain amount of points. Points are earned by collecting gems and killing enemies. Some of the gold challenges are difficult to gain solo and you should try gaining them in local coop. Just have your coop partner hang back and do you all the work. You will also need to find five red skulls hidden in each level, but don't be afraid, they are pretty easy to find.

Other challenges ask you to to complete tasks like not touching certain puzzle elements or killing enemies with bombs.
