Introduction:
Light Fairytale is a turn-based Japanese-style RPG series set in a dying underground world ruled by an evil empire. The goal of this project is to bring back the immersion and emotion of 90's era JRPGs on current platforms with the expected evolution in both design and technique. Each episode is a standalone game, approximately 3 hours long for a first play-through, double it for a full completion of all the achievements and secrets. Episode 2 resumes the adventure right after last episode's cliffhanger. Play as Haru and Ayaka as they uncover the mysteries of the Deeplands while looking for a way to reunite with Kuroko, meeting with a mysterious silver haired girl along the way.

Character Import:
If you played Episode 1, you will have the ability to import that character's level and inventory into Episode 2. The game is built for this, so not doing so will actually be a handicap as the enemies will likely be quite tough.

Story Playthrough:
I wrote up a quickhand "walkthrough" for the game to follow HERE. This is just a bullet point list of all the steps to take to ensure you don't pass by any of the game's events or missable achievements, and a brief map of the story events as well. I would highly suggest following along, as many things can only be done in very small windows of time. The game is extremely easy, and can be done on any difficulty you like though, so it's not hard by any means.

Pretty much every achievement that isn't directly story related can be missed, since once you reach the end of the game you are prompted to save. If you only use one save slot and save over top of your progress, you will need to start a new playthrough to unlock anything. You could also defeat every enemy in the game without doing 500+ damage and miss out on that, so save at least one battle arena to work on that.

Conclusion:
Light Fairytale is a super cute RPG series. The chibi art style is great, and while not terribly inspired, the story and combat is solid. It does have a ton of missable achievements to watch out for, but with the story only being a short three hours or so, you could always plow through another playthrough if needed - but you should be covered by the guides I've written up, of course!

Light Fairytale: Episode 2 Achievement Guide

Show secret achievements

There are 22 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Clear all the achievements.

    Congrats on your Platinum Trophy!
  • Meet the mysterious girl.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Earn 1000 or more credits.

You should be able to get this fairly early in the game if you're not buying anything. I imported a character and unlocked it prior to the first boss. You could save and sell all your items to get it quickly.
  • Do a 500+ single HP damage to an enemy.

    *MISSABLE*

You should get this naturally from a critical hit at some point with Haru. I personally got it against some spiders in the forest area, and did well over 600 damage. I did it shortly after that again on a soldier.

Because there are no respawning enemies, you could technically miss this achievement. It is highly likely that you never returned to the very first area of the game, where you can now fight some additional wolves. If you don't get this naturally, save right next to that spawn location and fight the wolves until it unlocks, reloading your save each time if you fail.

Secret achievements

  • Defeat the beasts on your first encounter.

    *MISSABLE*

Directly after the game begins you will need to head to the north of the screen and a battle with two wolves will begin. You must have a grende item in your inventory to defeat them for this achievement. If you try to use your sword, they will run away, and you don't have enough MP to use enough spells to take care of them. You can find a grende directly south of this encounter or if you imported a character from Episode 1 there's a chance you had one in your inventory which will carry over.
  • Sell Kuroko's gears.

As soon as you get to Junk City, save your game and then sell the item "Battle Gloves" at the shop to unlock this achievement. Reload your save to get the item back.
  • Try to sell the orb fragments.

    *MISSABLE*

After getting the Fire Orb Fragments for the story quest, go to the shop and attempt to sell them to unlock this achievement. If you have finished the story event to calm the winds, you will not have any fragments and will be unable to unlock this any longer.
  • Use the orb fragments in battle.

    *MISSABLE*

After getting the Fire Orb Fragments for the story quest, use one in battle to unlock this achievement. If you have finished the story event to calm the winds, you will not have access to the orb fragments and will be unable to unlock this any longer.
  • Rest again at Ayaka's house after reaching Junk City.

    *MISSABLE*

After leaving Ghost Town and arriving in Junk City, return back to Ghost Town and sleep in the bed to refill your HP/MP and unlock this achievement. You must do this prior to the soldiers occupying Junk City and attacking Ayaka, as after that the bed will be blocked for the rest of the game.
  • Light all 5 beacons.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Get saved by Ayaka again.

    *MISSABLE*

As soon as you leave Ghost Town for the first time, stand in the wind until your heat level reaches 0% which will cause you to pass out. You'll wake up in Ayaka's bed once again and unlock this achievement.
  • Fall in the cold winds after the soldiers event.

    *MISSABLE*

After the soldiers occupy Junk City, you will be tasked with rescuing Ayaka. During this time, she is not available to save you if your heat level reached 0% in the cold windy area. Save your game and stand in the wind to die and unlock this achievement. Once you save Ayaka, this can no longer be done.
  • See all the 'Aunty' events.

    *MISSABLE*

There are three small events to trigger for this achievement.
    1. Directly after Ayaka sends you to Junk City for the first time, return inside her house and speak to her.
    2. After getting the Fire Orb Fragments in Junk City, return to Ghost Town and go up the hill to speak with her by her flowers.
    3. When she joins your party the achievement will unlock if you triggered the first two events.
If you miss triggering one of the first two, the achievement won't unlock when she joins you.
  • Read the whole Daichi note.

    *MISSABLE*

Inside the Ice Lair dungeon, you will need to go to the Sewers first and rescue Daichi. After stealing the key from the Goblin Jailer (the one closest to the screen all the way to the right), you will then free Daichi and have access to his cell. Inspect the glowing spot and when prompted press 1LSUp.gif to continue reading the rest of the note to unlock this achievement. Obviously choosing the opposite will end the note and you will miss the achievement.
  • Defeat all 12 archers.

    *MISSABLE*

In the boss fight with the Executioner in the Ice Lair, he will continue to summon Goblin Archer enemies, two at a time. Make sure you don't kill the boss, and continue to defeat every archer he has in reserve to unlock this achievement.
  • See all the 'Daichi' events.

    *MISSABLE*

To unlock this achievement, you must return to the area between Junk City and Ghost Town after entering the forest north of Junk City for the first time. Where the Elder and the other two people were, you will now find a staff in the ground. Inspect the staff to unlock this achievement. All of the previous Daichi scenes are story related and can not be missed.
  • Kid!

    40

    Make Kid join the party.

    *MISSABLE*

To have Kid join the party, you must have talked to him in Junk City prior to the soldiers coming to town. He will be working on a snowman for the earlier parts of the game while you work on lighting the beacons and you can talk to him at any point during those events. Once the soldiers come to town he will be gone, then after you complete the Ice Lair, so long as you talked to him in the first part of the game, he will waiting in that same spot in Junk City to speak with again. Do so and he will join you.
  • Find the rebels hideout.

    *MISSABLE*

As you trek through the forest, you will eventually come to Area F and need to head south away from it. On this path, you'll see a small yellow glow off to the right and you can head down a somewhat hidden path here. This is the rebel hideout, and walking in will unlock the achievement.
  • Defeat the Humanoid Tank Mk1.

    *MISSABLE*

When you get to the forest area, at the first junction you'll find a scavenger sitting down against a pole. Head down the right path toward Area B to find this boss encounter. There are multiple ways through the forest, so you could skirt this on accident. If you get to Area F (where you'll head south to find the rebel hideout), head north instead to run directly into this battle. Going to the rebel hideout first is actually a good idea, since you can heal and save there prior to the fight.
  • Defeat the Snow Dragon.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Use your A.R Goggles for 150+ seconds.

This is cumulative. Anytime you press lb.png or rb.png this will trigger your AR Goggles, and after a total of 150 seconds over the course of the entire game, this will unlock.
  • Get your first level 2 fury.

You will unlock a Level 2 Fury move when you reach Level 6. I imported a character from the first game and was able to get this after defeating the Goblin Leader boss.
