Introduction:
NBA Jam will not disappoint fans of the series, and even a casual gamer could get more than half of the achievements, especially if they have access to 3 controllers. Easy mode will work in both Classic Campaign and Play Now modes and should be taken advantage of by those who are going for the full 1000.

Part 1 - Classic Campaign:
In order to get all the achievements you will have to play through this mode a total of six times, once with a team from each division. This will likely be the most time consuming part of the 1000. During your first playthrough, you will get seven achievements worth 170. Depending on your skill and luck, you might pick up a few of the non-campaign/tour related achievements. Feel free to start a couple campaigns and experiment with teams that have stats that fit your playing style from different divisions. Through the course of your first full classic campaign, you'll unlock several characters that might help you when you start doing remix mode. You don't have to do all six run-throughs before moving on, but I certainly recommend going all the way through at least once before attempting remix mode. Due to the easy difficulty being allowed during this gameplay mode, most players will be able to beat classic with little to no problem, but still don't expect to get Triple Up in this mode unless you are extremely good at this game. If you do all of one conference first, you will get 100 for your third run-through and 200 for your sixth.

Part 2 - Remix Tour:

This is going to be the toughest part of all. Really, through all of this, you are just going for Three The Hard Way, but it is also quite possible and very likely to pick up Iron Will, Wrecking Crew, & Double Up and picking up all five will get you 270. Restart match may be your best friend during remix mode, especially during Boss Battles. Some of those are the hardest, most frustrating parts of the game. In the games of 21, if the Boss catches fire before you've scored at all, you probably want to start over. Feel free to search this thread for Boss Battle tips. Because this mode only has one difficulty, feel free to take a break from time to time to work on the remaining Classic playthroughs or move on to the next section. You will need to get 180/180 on the remix tour and you will face the Beastie Boys after the credits.

Part 3 - Online and Clean Up:
At this point, you should have the majority of the achievements and with the exception of Triple Up, you can conceivably boost the rest of them online especially while working on the ranked match achievements. Feel free to use this thread to find people if you need to. The easiest way to find someone is to play solo match in 21 or an equally less popular play mode. Some people tend to say it's easiest to drop out of a game after 1 minute into it, giving the other player a win (or vice versa), but this doesn't always work. You might as well play out the matches or use this time to boost any of the achievements you can get from one match. The other good option involves having at least two controllers, preferably three and using what I call the Play Now method (set the 1st controller as the team you want to be. Then set the remaining two to the opposing team. With only two controllers you want to make sure that when the other players CPU gets the ball, you make him pass immediately). Remember to use the game settings from the player selection screen to change quarter lengths to your advantage (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer) and take advantage of the No Shot Clock trick in which you can run down the clock forever against a CPU team because they will not shove you as long as you are walking up and down the furthest point on your side of the court. These tricks make Clean Sheet, Double Up, and Triple Up much easier than they first appear. Of course, if you really want a challenge you can just go for them through the course of a natural game. Just remember, you can adjust settings and unlock privileges for play now that can be beneficial to the whole clean up process.

There are 26 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Play an online ranked match

Simply play an online ranked match, with friends or strangers. See Start To Finish.

  • Win an online ranked match

This achievement can be unlocked naturally or by boosting it with some friend online. See Start To Finish.

  • Win 10 online ranked matches

Either win ten ranked matches naturally or boost this online with some friends.

  • Win an online ranked match while leading after each quarter

Make sure that not only your team leads after each quarter, but the player you are leads too. This one is probably best boosted with friends online. Just search at the same time as your friend for a 2v2 game and if you don't find each other, quit and try again.

  • Win a Classic or Remix game without letting the opposing team score

This one is much easier than it sounds (especially if you have three controllers). Use the Play Now method (set the 1st controller as the team you want to be and set the remaining two to the opposing team. This can still be done with only two controllers but you want to make sure that when the other controller's CPU gets the ball, you make him pass immediately). If you only have one controller, your best bet is to boost it online or using the fact that if you change settings from the character selection, you can take away the shot clock. As long as you walk up and down the very right side of the screen, the CPU will not shove you, just remember to score a few at the end of quarters. It seems that this one has to be done in 2v2 or remix 2v2.

  • Go up for a game winning dunk only to have time expire while in mid-air

You will actually have to lose the match to get this achievement. The easiest way to do this is to use the play now method (See Clean Sheet), score as little as possible, and keep your team 1 point down. Make sure to go in for the dunk at the last possible second of the 4th quarter. If you only have 1 controller, you can try to get it naturally or boost online. Remember to adjust settings to fit your task and that when there is no shot clock, you can avoid being shoved and run down the clock simply by walking up and down the farthest right side of the court.

  • Score 50% of your team's points while only shooting three pointers

Make sure to pick a player with a high 3 pt score. You can use the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet) or just over the course of classic or remix campaigns. Just watch your stats and always shoot from behind the arc.

  • Break the backboard in a Classic or Remix game with an alley oop!

The easiest way to do this is in the smash remix mode, make sure your drone teammate has the ball when you are about to break the back board and that you slam the ball in. Some people are having trouble unlocking this in Smash mode, but the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet) will work too, as long as you dunk as much as possible in the first half and keep going for the layup in the second.

  • Make 5 layups in a row without getting blocked

This one may be near impossible to do without boosting or using the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet). Remember to do the layup, do not use turbo. For some reason I found it easier to do Layups with the right analog stick, but you can also go for a lay up like you would a dunk, but while you're in the air, just press again.

  • Mojo

    20

Win a game with a layup buzzer beater

Refer to Too Late, but this time, instead of losing with a dunk, go up for the lay up and win. I found it easier to use the right analog stick for the lay up but you can also easily go for a layup like you would a dunk, but while you're in the air just press again.

  • Hit a buzzer beater while on fire

This achievement should come naturally while playing but can also be boosted online or by the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet). Unlike the other buzzer related achievements, this one can be obtained at the end of every quarter. If you are having a tough time with this one, wait until you've unlocked one shot fire. Remember Turbo is your best friend once you're on fire!

  • Keep yourself or your teammate on fire until it exhausts by making 5 or more unanswered baskets

This achievement should come naturally over the course of play, but can easily be boosted online or using the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet). Make sure no other player scores a single basket until this unlocks just to be on the safe side. If you are having a tough time with this one, wait until you've unlocked one shot fire. Remember Turbo is your best friend once you're on fire!

  • Beat the CPU by tripling their score in a Classic 2v2 or Remix 2v2 game

Refer to Double Up. Do not attempt in Classic Campaign or Remix Tour.

  • Defeat the Atlantic Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of John Starks & Patrick Ewing the first time you play through Classic Campaign.

  • Defeat the Central Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of Bill Laimbeer & Isiah Thomas the first time you play through Classic Campaign.

  • Defeat the Northwest Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of John Stockton & Karl Malone the first time you play through Classic Campaign.

  • Defeat the Pacific Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of Chris Mullin & Tim Hardaway the first time you play through Classic Campaign

  • Defeat the Southeast Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of Dominique Wilkins & Spud Webb the first time you play through Classic Campaign.

  • Defeat the Southwest Division Legend Team in Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Legends Team of Hakeem Olajuwon & Kenny Smith the first time you play through Classic Campaign.

  • Defeat the hidden boss after completing Classic Campaign

This will unlock after you beat the Stickman team once you have played through every other match in Classic Campaign the first time. Difficulty does not affect achievements so if you are going for the full 1000 make sure you are playing Classic Campaigns on easy.

  • Face the hidden boss after Classic Campaign with a team from each division in the Eastern Conference

You must beat Classic Campaign three times, using one team from all three divisions of the Eastern Conference. You will get this after the final match of your third campaign. (See NBA Domination for more.)

    The three Eastern Conferences are:

    • Atlantic
    • Central
    • Southeast
  • Face the hidden boss after Classic Campaign with a team from each division in the Western Conference

You must beat Classic Campaign three times, using one team from all three divisions of the Western Conference. You will get this after the final match of your third campaign. (See NBA Domination for more.)

    The three Western Conferences are:

    • Northwest
    • Pacific
    • Southwest
  • Face the hidden boss after Classic Campaign with a team from each division

You must beat Classic Campaign six times, using one team from all six divisions. You will get this after the final match of your sixth campaign. This one is going to be time consuming. Going through once can take up to six hours. It seems like it should be longer because each quarter says three minutes, but the time is actually twice as fast as normal so each quarter is one and a half minutes. Here are some things to keep in mind. You can do this on easy every time... and why not? you are going to have to do it again and again. Don't delete completed saved games, they will help you keep track of what teams you have beaten it with. To help break up the monotony, I suggest you start at least one two player campaign with a friend to knock at least one of these divisions off in a different way.

  • Beat Backboard Smash in under 2 minutes

You can obtain this one fairly easy if you play against a team with low dunk scores on remix mode. You can also just use the Play Now method (See Clean Sheet) except in Remix modes. I picked it up the first time I played a Smash match in the remix tour, just remember alley oops and dunks when you are on fire do the most damage.

  • Defeat Beastie Boys in Remix Tour

To unlock this, you will need to get 180/180 on the remix tour and you will face the Beastie Boys after the credits. This is going to be one of the toughest achievements in the game. Make sure when you start your remix mode, you have practiced enough with the team you have chosen. Some of the Boss battles are going to be incredibly tough, especially the games of 21. Make sure to get a good start and don't hesitate to restart the match if your opponent catches fire. See this thread for any additional boss strategies.

  • Beat the CPU by doubling their score in a Classic 2v2 or Remix 2v2 game

The best way to do this is to play against the computer on play now mode. If you change settings from the character selection, you can take away the shot clock and shorten the quarters to two minutes. As long as you walk up and down the very right side of the screen, the CPU will not shove you, just remember to score at the end of quarters. This one shouldn't be too hard, I did it in a classic campaign game.
