Introduction
Overall, this is a great NHL game. Unfortunately, the achievements are not very fun since they force you to play a lot of offline Be A Pro. A majority of the achievements are very easy however some may take some time. This is the most time consuming NHL game to date. As long as you are willing to boost HUT, put in a lot of time and some effort, it is not that bad of a 1000.

Be A Pro **Read this to avoid confusion**
People seem to get very confused about these achievements but its very simple. All of the achievements that say "with a created Pro" means you MUST use your created pro. You cannot select an existing real life NHL player to get the achievements. You can start your Be A Pro either in the CHL, at the NHL Entry Draft, or just selecting what NHL team you want to play for. If the achievement description says ANYTHING about NHL career or NHL Be A Pro season, that means your player must be in the NHL in order to get the achievements.

EASHL (EA Sports Hockey League)
There a 5 achievements that must be done in EASHL. Every Man, Taking Shots, EASHL Playoffs, EASHL Hero, and Hats Off To You. EASHL (often referred to as club) games are when you create or join a team to play online Be A Pro against other EASHL teams. A minimum of 2 players is required to search for a match. At the end of each month the single elimination playoffs begins but luckily, the only achievement tied to this is to play a playoff game so you don't even need to win. Any team with at least 1 game played will be qualified.

Online Be A Pro (OTP or Drop In Games)
These are basically the same as EASHL except it's just random people all matching up together. You will be able to unlock EASHL Rookie 1, EASHL Pro 1,and EASHL Legend 1 in either these game modes or EASHL. They all add up to the same performance tracker so you could have 100 OTP games and 50 EASHL games to get your legend card.

HUT (Hockey Ultimate Team)
HUT is one of the game modes new to last years game and it is still the same set up. You collect cards to build and improve your team. Team Doctor, EAUHL 24/7, Amateur Contender, Pro Contender, Elite Contender, HUT Playoff Winner, Complete Set, and Past Their Potential can only be obtained here.

Versus
There are only 3 Ranked Versus achievements and they are Versus Rookie, Versus Pro, and Versus Legend. You just need to get to level 25 which is not too bad. Especially because you can boost if you are having a hard time getting wins.

There are 45 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Earn 8 points in a single NHL Be A Pro playoff game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

Unlike a lot of the other Be A Pro achievements, this one must be done during the playoffs. Simply get 8 points during one game for the achievement.

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Score goals 5 different ways in a NHL Be A Pro game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

This achievement is not as bad as you might expect. Just make sure you practice the Penalty Shot by playing against AI in Shootout mode before you try. You are going to want to adjust all the sliders in your favor, but make sure you turn AI Strategy all the way up so they will pull their goalie. Focus on getting a breakaway the entire time for the penalty shot. The best way to draw a penalty shot is to get your AI to pass it up one of the side boards to you and then you go around the defender. Going up the middle doesn't seem to work as well. If you are too far ahead of the D, they never seem to dive, even if you slow down. You need to get a little lucky to get the powerplay/shorthanded goals since the AI very rarely takes penalties. Also, to get the empty net just keep scoring on your own goal so you have a 1 goal lead in the last minute. To do this, skate in a straight line toward your own goal holding the pass button and then let go of pass once the puck is inside of your goalie.

    • Even Strength
    • Powerplay
    • Shorthanded
    • Penalty Shot
    • Empty Net

  • Qualify for and complete the CHL Top Prospects game in Be A Pro with a created Pro

When starting Be A Pro, select start in the CHL. You are going to need to play some games to try and stay in the top 5 - 10 in scoring before the Top Prospects game which is on January 18th. All you have to do is play through the entire game to get the achievement, win or lose.
NOTE: People seem to have issues getting into this game. I would recommend you play 4 out of every 6 games. But when I say play, I just mean score 2 goals or so and then quit.

  • Play & get 20 goals in a Be A Pro CHL season with a created Pro to celebrate 20 years of EA SPORTS™

Simply score 20 goals during a Be A Pro CHL season. (Simulated goals don't count)

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Play and win the Memorial Cup in Be A Pro with a created Pro

Start up a Be A Pro from the NHL Entry Draft. Now all you have to do is win 4 games. You can simulate the first 3 (as long as your team wins) and then join in during the 3rd period of the last game. After the game is over and you back out to the Menus, achievement unlocked.

  • Score 14 shorthanded goals in a NHL Be A Pro season with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

The AI rarely takes penalties, so the best method is to slowly simulate each game and then intervene as soon as your team is on the penalty kill. Score a goal and the quit out and do the same for the next game. If you aren't on the PK unit, you may need to wait until your second season for your coach to put you there.

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Earn 2,858 NHL career points in Be A Pro with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

This achievement will be a grind and I highly recommend you play as a CenterMake sure Be A Pro mode is set to Classic and not Authentic when you start because you cannot change this setting with out starting a new Be A Pro from scratch. If I wasn't a LW, I think I could have been scoring over 220 points per game. Any points you get while simulating will NOT count so you need to check your performance tracker. Also, you might not unlock the achievement right when your career performance tracker reaches 2,858. Mine said I had enough points, but when I used  to navigate over the Legend Milestones, it said I was 32 points away still. After that reached 2,858 the achievement unlocked like normal.

Here are some calculations to help you figure out how long it will take.
PTS = # of points you can get per game
MIN = # of min each game takes you (real life time, not in game time)
GMS = # of games you will need to play
totalMIN = total # of minutes you will need to play
totalHOURS = total # of hours you will need to play

    2858/PTS = GMS
    GMS * MIN = totalMIN
    totalMIN/60 = totalHOURS

**Example based off of my best game**
2,858/181 = 15.79 This means it will take 16 games at this 181 pts/game pace
    16 * 80 = 1280 minutes of playing (at least)
    1280/60 = 21.33 hours

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Have three 8 point games in a NHL Be A Pro career with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Score 93 goals in a single NHL Be A Pro season with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Have 30 PP goals in 2 different NHL Be A Pro seasons with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

The hardest part about this achievement is getting onto the powerplay unit. My advice is to play as Center. It seems hardest to get on the PP unit as a LW but if you have a good first season, you should be moved to the PP during the off season. Once you are on the powerplay unit, slowly simulate each game until your team goes on the powerplay. Then you can quickly intervene, score 1 PP goal and quit out. You must score 30+ goals in each season for 2 seasons. If you want to know how many you have, check you career performance. Simulated goals do not count.

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Earn 216 NHL career points in a single Be A Pro season with a created Pro on at least Pro difficulty

See One Great Career achievement description.

  • Achieve Rookie 1 status for your online Pro

    See EASHL Legend achievement description.

  • Achieve Pro 1 status for your online Pro

    See EASHL Legend achievement description.

  • Be a member of an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League team when they participate in a monthly playoff

This achievement is one of the easiest in the game. Every EASHL Team qualifies for the playoffs as long as they played 1 game during that month. So if your team plays 1 regular season game, then you are automatically qualified for the playoffs that run the last 5 days of each month. Just play 1 playoff game win or lose and the achievement is yours.

  • Play as every skater position while completing EA SPORTS™ Hockey League matches

You must play 1 EASHL game as C, RW, LW, RD, LD. This achievement is a bit glitchy. Once you are sure you've played 1 full game as each position, just keep playing as RD since that is the one that seems to causing the issues.

  • Play as the goalie while completing an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League match

Easy achievement. Join or create an EASHL and just play 1 full game as goalie, win or lose.

  • Achieve Legend 1 status for your online Pro

In order the get a better status, you must play EASHL or OTP games and get a certain number of wins, games played, and a certain overall grade. Getting the A- overall is not hard. Just play your position and don't cherry pick and you should be able to get and A+ in Position every game. I always played against human goalies so I could easily get 2 points per game to get an A+ in stats. Team play is the hardest to keep up, but if you make some good hits, good passes, and don't turn the puck over too much then it should be easy to keep between B- and A-. If you are having a hard time, try playing D. It is much easier to get team play and you only need 1 point to get an A in stats.

Rookie 1 requires 10 games played, 4 wins, C- overall.
Pro 1 requires 25 games played, 10 wins, B+ overall.
Legend 1 requires 150 games played, 25 wins, A- overall.

  • Score a goal after completing a skate-to-stick deke in a Ranked Online Shootout match

To do a skate to stick deke, simply press  and down on the . You need to shoot immediately after doing the deke in order for it to register. It might take a couple tries to unlock. If you want to boost, go to the shootout leaderboards and set it to "My Friends Shootout." Now you can click on someones name and invite them to a ranked match that no one else can join.

  • Score a goal after completing a jump deke in a Ranked Online Shootout match

To jump deke, simply press  and up on the . The easiest way to get this is to get close to the net and do the deke so that you are basically jumping with the puck right into the net.If you want to boost, go to the shootout leaderboards and set it to "My Friends Shootout." Now you can click on someones name and invite them to a ranked match that no one else can join.

  • Reach level 25 of online Versus

If you are looking to do this achievement without boosting, there's an easy method. Don't do quick ranked versus matches. Instead, search for a custom ranked versus. This way you will get matched up with someone of a random skill level. But before the game starts, check the gamertag to see if they have any level achievements. If they don't even have level 5 then play them for an easy win. If you want to boost, go to the versus leaderboards and set it to "My Friends VS." Now you can click on someones name and invite them to a ranked match that no one else can join.

    Versus Level 5 - 700 Points
    Versus Level 10 - 950 Points
    Versus Level 25 - 1700 Points

  • Reach level 5 of online Versus

    See Versus Legend achievement description.

  • Reach level 10 of online Versus

    See Versus Legend achievement description.

  • Have 7 assists in a single NHL Be A Pro game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Use a Healing card to heal an injured player in Hockey Ultimate Team

If one of your players gets injured, there will be a certain number of games you have to play before they can come back into the lineup. In order to get this achievement, you must use a healing card that will heal your player to 0 games. For example, if you get a 2 game leg injury you must apply a 2 game or higher healing card to get the number to 0. An easy way to injure your player on purpose is to play against the AI and just miss hits running into the boards.

  • Qualify for a Hockey Ultimate Team Amateur monthly playoff tournament

    See Elite Contender achievement description.

  • Win a match against a downloaded Hockey Ultimate Team

Once at the HUT main menu, select Play Game > EAUHL Single Player. At the team select screen, press  to change the league to EAUHL 24/7 and play any one of those teams on Rookie mode.

  • Be the player that scores 3 goals consecutively in an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League match

Can be tricky depending on skill (and luck). Not only do you need to get a Hat Trick, but you need to get 3 goals in a row without anyone else scoring. You could always boost this by challenging a friends club having 1 player on each team be goalie.

  • Score the OT winner in an EA Sports™ Hockey League match

Another tricky achievement since you have to get to overtime in an EASHL game and then score the game winning goal. You can boost it with two teams of 2 players and just have 1 person play goalie so they can move out of the way in overtime.

  • Qualify for a Hockey Ultimate Team Pro monthly playoff tournament

    See Elite Contender achievement description.

  • Collect all player, jersey and logo cards for any team in the Collection

The team VAXJO in the Elitserien League only requires 3 players, 2 jerseys, and the logo but people like to charge a lot for them. I have all the cards from the WHL team Everett and Vaxjo. Check this thread for updates on who is passing the cards around.

  • As the lead profile, complete a NHL® Winter Classic Match with PIT versus WSH

Very simple achievement. The first time you load up the game, it will put you in the Winter Classic and all you have to do is play through the game, win or lose. You can always select the option from the main menu as well.

  • Train a player past their potential

The easiest way to get this achievement is to find a player with only 2 training card slots (his potential MUST be only 3 higher than his overall). Now you just use a two +2 All training cards and his overall will be 1 higher. Look in the Trading HUT for the +2 All cards to buy.

  • Qualify for a Hockey Ultimate Team Elite monthly playoff tournament

These stats are the closest estimate you will find.
Around top 2500 will make the Elite.
2501 - around 7500 make Pro (aim for somewhere in the 5000's to be safe).
    7501 - 15000 make Amateur.

The playoffs start on the 1st of every month and to unlock the achievements, select the Playoff option from the HUT menu and you will see whichever division you are in unlocked. You can boost wins by both people searching for a game at the same time. It should only take a couple tries to match up. Once the community starts dying down, it will become harder to qualify for amateur. You may need to lose games to get in the 7501 - 15000 range.

  • Win any Hockey Ultimate Team monthly playoff tournament

After qualifying for the HUT playoffs, you must win 4 games in a row during the playoff tournament. Fortunately you can boost this. ANYONE searching for a game (even if they are not in the playoffs) can get matched up with you. So you can have someone use a second boosting account and just search for a EAUHL Online Game. This can take a while. It took about 45 min to do my first 3 wins. It then took over 1 hour to get the final game, even though both xboxs were in the same room. The playoffs start on the 1st of every month and run for 3 days.

  • Play and win the Stanley Cup in Be A Pro with a created Pro

Before starting a Be A Pro season, edit the rosters to put all the best players on 1 team. Now just join that team and the cup will be easy to win. You can play all the games out if you want. But if you just want to get it done quick, simulate 9 games, then start the next game and score 1 goal and quit out. Now simulate another 9 games, score another point and quit out. Rinse and repeat. This will keep you from being demoted to the 2nd line.

  • Play and win any NHL player trophy in Be A Pro with a created Pro

This achievement will unlock about 1 week after “Raise the Cup.” You can either win an individual playoff trophy(i.e. Conn Smythe for playoff MVP) or regular season trophy (i.e. Art Ross Trophy for most points).

  • Score 4 goals in one period of a NHL Be A Pro game as a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

See Superstar achievement description for scoring tips.

  • Complete a Gordie Howe Hat Trick (Goal/Assist/Fight) in a Be A Pro NHL game with a created Pro

Simple. Score 1 goal and get 1 assist (see method for Superstar) and then pick 1 fight. Press  next to someone to try and pick a fight with them. You can have more than 1 goal or assist and still get this as long as you have at least 1 of each. Achievement unlocks after the game ends.

  • Have 4 five goal games in a NHL Be A Pro career with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

The best way to get these achievements is simply to crank all the human sliders up and all the AI sliders down. I usually leave the AI passing in the middle so they can still pass to me good. Now set the period length to however long you think you will need (I just use 4 minute periods usually). The key to scoring is just to watch the goalie. If you see him go down to butterfly then just shoot top shelf. If he is slightly out of position on 1 side, just fire there. With the sliders all the way up, your shot is like a 150mph so its very easy. You should be able to get the hang of it within 1 or 2 games. I have been able to get up to 10 points in a single 4min period. If you want assists, just keep the AI shooting sliders in the middle and pass the puck to the AI. With low goalie reaction speed, they will put it in the net easily. If you are still having trouble scoring, just skate right up to the goalie and deke backhand, forehand. Since your puck control is all the way up you can just skate right through the D.

  • Achieve Legendary GM Status

NOTE: You can play on rookie mode and set the GM difficulty to rookie mode.
What I did was edit the rosters and take all the best NHL players and put them on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Then when you have to pick your team for Be A GM, I simply swapped out all the NHL teams with DEL, OHL or whatever bad teams I could find. Make sure you set playoffs to “Single Game Elimination.” Now all you have to do is simulate through 3 full seasons. You don’t have to worry about anything as long as you win the Stanley Cup 3 times you are guaranteed to earn enough GM points to get your legend plaque.

  • Check an opposing player into the benches

    (6)

Very easy achievement. If you cant manage to knock someone over the boards, just start a Play Now game with 2 controllers. Lock both players as Center (press  on the line-up screen) and sit the other player by the boards. Now hit him and he should tip right over the boards.

  • Knock the helmet off an opposing player's head

    (4)

Very easy achievement. If you struggle with hitting like me, then the easy way to do this is hit the goalie into his net after the whistle. The helmet will almost always fall off. Make sure to keep clicking in the left stick so you are going full speed.

  • Win a goalie versus goalie fight

    (20)

Very easy achievement. Just start up a Play Now game with 2 controllers and lock your position to goalie for both players (press  once at the line-up screen). Now during the game, just hold  and skate to center ice. The fight option will pop up and press  on the other controller.

  • Score with a one knee one timer

    (29)

This achievement can be done in any mode besides practice and shootout. The one-timer may seem to be pretty random but I found an almost surefire way to get it. Start up a Play Now game as any team and turn all the passing and shooting sliders all the way up. Then you are going to want to go up the right side of the ice with a left handed shot. Once you get near the top of the faceoff circle, fire a hard pass (it seems like it must be a really fast pass to work) to the left side for a one timer. The skater on the left side must be a right handed shot for this to work. The passer must be closer to the net so he is passing in a backward motion. I am sure this method works from the opposite side as well. I was able to pull of the one knee one timer 1 out of 5 times in game and about 3 out of 5 times in practice mode.

  • Break a pane of glass with a hit on a CPU player

    (21)

This is just one of those achievements you will get over the course of playing the game. I spent hours crushing the AI with players that had maxed out attributes, weight, and height and I finally got it in a Be A Pro with my medium sized power forward. It seems that this is a random event because my hit wasn't even that big. It also seems more likely to break the glass if the AI's shoulder hits the glass. They shouldn't be facing directly toward or away from the glass.
