Prince of Persia is a very simple game, the only part that should give you any real trouble is collecting the 1001 light seeds which can be very time consuming. However there are many videos on YouTube that show all of the light seeds in every level so they too can be completed quite easily.
Introduction:
Welcome to the Prince of Persia Road Map and Achievement Guide. There are fourteen achievements in this game that can be missed, it is actually very difficult to miss the majority of these achievements. The only one that may be a problem is the "Be Gentle With Her" achievement. This achievement requires you to die less than 100 times during the game. To avoid missing this achievement simply save the game whenever you are about to attempt something that is likely to kill you, and load if you die. There are no serious glitches in this game.

Missable Achievements:All of the following achievements can be missed.

  • Block Master
  • Deflect Master
  • Sword Master
  • Be Gentle With Her
  • Improviser
  • Warrior Special
  • Hunter Special
  • Alchemist Special
  • Concubine Special
  • Speed Kill
  • Throw Master
  • Precious Time
  • Speed Demon
  • Combo Specialist

Step #1 - Storyline Playthrough:
Start the game and play through normally, the majority of the achievements will unlock simple by playing through. Each of the four main bosses has an achievement that is associated with them. All of these achievements can be missed but you will have at least six opportunities per boss to unlock them. You can also manually save the game before any boss fight and come back to these achievements at any time, as long as you keep the save. Whilst playing the game make sure to be working towards the "Speed Kill" and "Throw Master" achievements whenever you encounter generic enemies. There are more than enough enemies in the game for both of these achievements.

It is suggested playing through the game only collecting the light seeds required to continue. Once you have healed all of the lands manually save your game. Now enter the Temple defeat the final boss, and complete the end scenes. This will unlock the "Speed Demon" and (if you've been using the save load trick) the "Be Gentle With Her" achievement.

Step #2 - Achievement Mop-up:
With the main playthrough now complete and the easily missable achievements out of the way you can now load your pre-Temple save. It's now possible to finish off all remaining achievements that were not unlocked during Step #1. Collecting all of the remaining Light Seeds will be the most time consuming, there are YouTube videos that cover each of the levels and the location of all of the game's Light Seeds. Now is also the best time to unlock all of the "Runner" achievements as there will no longer be any enemies or corruption that make navigating the levels more difficult.

DLC - Epilogue
The DLC adds an extra 2-3 hours to the game, but if you complete it in under 2 you will get No Time To Waste for your efforts. Dieing less than 20 times will unlock I Only Need A Hand or 20. These are not too difficult to get, if you make sure you save often, and if you miss them you can run through again quickly. Make sure you follow the guide so you don't miss any frescoes getting you A Fresco of Light and All The Frescos. Beating the Shapeshifter quickly will get you Change Once, Then Die, and if you kill all of the soldiers on the way before they spawn you will unlock Born Dead. Again, save regularly and if you don't reach them in time you can try again. You will pick up The Best Defense is a Good Offence and What Once was There on the way, and when you finish you will unlock Leaving The Storm.

Conclusion:
Overall this is a very simple game that pretty much anyone should be able to complete. Any achievements that you are still missing at this point can be unlocked by loading your pre-Temple save. Unfortunately if you missed any of the missable achievements you will need to start again, but most can be easily completed at the start of the game, with the obvious exception of the "Be Gentle With Her", "Speed Kill", and "Throw Master" achievements.

There are 60 achievements with a total of 1250 points

  • Completing the Canyon.

Make your way through the first part of the game.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • Use the Compass.

Press the button to use the compass, this will be done during the tutorial.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • First Healing.

Press the button repeatedly on a corrupted plate to heal the land.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • You’ll get this after defeating the last of the 4 bosses and after healing the last corrupted ground.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • Explore every part of every region.

There are 24 levels, each has one corrupted plate that you will need to heal. To finish the game you will need to heal all 24 corrupted lands. The achievement will unlock after reaching the temple for the final boss battle.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • Block 50 attacks.

You can block attacks by holding down the .

Just hold it until the achievement unlocks. Try to avoid the edges because blocked attacks will push you back.

This achievement is easy to unlock against the Warrior or the Hunter. The fight with the Warrior is easier because the platform you're fighting on is big enough, without any chance of a push off.

  • Deflect 20 attacks.

To deflect an attack you'll have to block () before being hit. You will know you've done it right when the enemy takes a step back and drops his guard. Again this is easy on the first fight with the Warrior, his attacks are so slow that you can cook a meal while waiting for an attack. Enjoy..!!

  • Perform 14 hits in one combo.

    The 14 hit combo:

    then or or .

This achievement can be unlocked whilst fighting any of the bosses, but is easiest to unlock during the first fight with the Concubine.

If you'd rather unlock this achievement later, make a manual save at this point, and come back to it when you feel ready.

The combo will be stopped by any of the following:

    - If the enemy hits a wall.
    - If the enemy hits the edge of the arena.
    - The enemy blocks your attack.
    - The enemy hits you.

So make sure you keep the boss away from the edges of the arena. Make sure you do this combo in the beginning of the game because later in the game lots of enemies will deflect your attacks.

Make sure you deflect the first attack of the enemy. This will make it drop it's defense and leave them open for the combo.

The first 3 strings of the combo aren't that hard, the trick is after the combo to make sure you throw the enemy in the air with the button at the end of the 3rd string.

Now the hard part comes along, after you've thrown the enemy in the air you'll jump after it by pressing the button. When up in the air press the button so Elika jumps into the air and does a magic attack at the enemy.

After this press so you hit the enemy with the last attack and the enemy will crash into the ground.

    Note:
The combination at the end of the combo is the easiest, you'll know when you've done it right when Elika joins the last part of the combo and the moment Elika hits the enemy you just have to mash the button for the combo to end.

Thanks to xxMaceXxx for the information on this combo.

This video shows you what the combo should look like:

  • Elika saves you fewer than 100 times in the whole game.

Beat the game with Elika saving you less than 100 times.

Every time you see a short clip of Elika reaching out her hand you have been saved. When this happens you will start at the last piece of solid ground you reached before dying, if you died during a boss battle you will be saved and the boss will regain some health.

If you're about the fall to your death in a area you've already healed you can press the button and teleport to a different healed area without Elika saving you.

You can also save your game after completing any large string of jumps and load if you fail. Doing this practically guarantees you the achievement, but will make the game take significantly longer to complete.

  • Use the environment against an enemy.

During one of the fights with the Hunter you'll notice a pillar in the middle of the area. If you do a combo (a simple 3 hit combo) while the pillar is behind the Hunter you'll start a button mashing mini-game. If you win this you'll throw him into this pillar and you'll get the achievement.

There are several pillars like this throughout the game, they are found in the center of the room in most boss battles.

  • Win a wall mini-game in combat.

During the game you’ll get lots of wall mini-games, if the enemy has his back against a wall you’ll notice the button you have to rapidly press to win the mini-game. If you win this mini-game you’ll finish the enemy in one hit and unlock the achievement.

  • Run from the Sun Temple's Fertile Ground to the Fertile Ground in Windmills in 5 minutes.

    See "City Of Light Runner".

  • Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Construction Yards and Heaven's Stair in 6 minutes.

    See "City Of Light Runner".

  • Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Royal Gardens and Coronation Halls in 4 minutes.

    See "City Of Light Runner".

  • Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Tower of Ahriman and City of Light in 7 minutes.

These are all easier once you have healed all of the corrupted lands.

Why? No enemies, by this time you will also know the route, no annoying pieces of corrupted slime on walls that will make wallrunning harder, you will also have shortcuts thanks to Elika's unlocked abilities.

There’s no need to freak out on these achievements since they are all easy, just make sure you use Elika’s compass ability () to pick the shortest route. Warp to the starting point, place a marker on the end and go for it.

  • Dodge the Warrior's attacks 20 times in one battle.

The Warrior is one big bloke that can’t be damaged by normal attacks. His attacks are slow and easy to anticipate. Every time he tries to swing at you press up or down on the and the button to roll to the left or right. If done correctly you won’t get hit.

Do this 20 times in one battle for this achievement to unlock.

This achievement can be unlocked in any of the battles with the Warrior.

  • Deflect the Hunter's attacks 5 times in one battle.

To deflect an attack you'll have to press (block) just before the weapon hits. You'll know you've done it right when the enemy takes a step back and drops his guard. The Hunter is fast but it's still easy to deflect his attacks.

Repeat this 4 more times until the achievement unlocks and then whoop his ass.

This achievement can be unlocked in any of the battles with the Hunter.

  • Defeat the Alchemist without using the acrobatic button.

The acrobatic move is the button, only use the button in the first fight with the Alchemist. Elika will tell you the name of the boss you’re fighting against so you’ll know when to do what.

This achievement can be unlocked in any of the battles with the Alchemist.

  • Defeat the Concubine without using grab.

The grab button is the button, avoid this one during the first fight with the Concubine. The concubine is the only female boss of the 4 bosses and probably the most annoying because of her comments. Elika will tell you her name so you’ll know when to try for this achievement.

This achievement can be unlocked in any of the battles with the Concubine.

There are 20 normal area’s with 45 Light seeds each, 4 area’s with 25 light seeds that you’ll get after defeating the boss in that area. That makes a total of 1000 light seeds. The last seed can be found after defeating the final boss in the palace and completing the final scene, this final seed cannot be missed.

You need a minimum of 540 Light Seeds to finish the game.

If you're having problems finding specific Light Seeds you can ask for help here (LINK). There are also a number of videos on YouTube that will help you find all of the Light Seeds.

    Warning:
Make sure you save the game before going into the palace to fight the last boss because you can’t go back once you've entered the palace.

  • Kill 10 generic enemies before they spawn.

When you’re climbing or wallrunning to certain places you’ll encounter enemies (like duh). Sometimes you’ll see black light shooting out of the ground meaning a spawn point for an enemy. If you’re fast enough and reached a place where an enemy is about to spawn you can simply press the button next to the black light to kill this enemy.

Do this a total of 10 times to unlock the achievement. There are more than enough fights like this during a single playthrough.

  • Throw 10 Soldiers of Ahriman into pits.

When you’re fighting the generic enemies on certain levels that also have an edge, just lure the enemy towards that edge and hit him. This will start a mini-game where you have to repeatedly press a specific button, if done fast enough you will kick the enemy off the edge.

Do this a total of 10 times to unlock the achievement. There are more than enough fights like this during a single playthrough.

  • Find the Assassin's view.

  • Find the Titanic View.

Easy to find with this YouTube video by xCaStErOx:

  • 500 coop jumps.

A coop jump is performed by pressing when in the air. Elika will grab you by the arms and swing you a bit further into the air. This achievement will unlock by just playing the game. If you're impatient you can do a coop jump on solid ground, just jump back and forth in front of the Temple until the achievement unlocks.

  • Take one minute to think.

After the final fight with Ahriman in the Tree Palace you'll end up with Elika in your arms. Stay still and do nothing for a complete minute. Don't even touch the controller...go on...put it down. Go make some popcorn or something because after this you'll enter the last part of the game.

  • Talk to Elika.

    See "Good Company".

  • Get to know Elika by talking to her.

    See "Good Company".

  • Learn about the world, and Elika's history.

To talk to Elika press .

You can talk to Elika at almost any point during the game, your first opportunity will be during the tutorial. Continue talking to her whenever possible until all three achievements unlock.

  • Find the highest point in the world.

Defeat the Alchemist in the Observatory, you’ll get this after you’ve won the fight.

This achievement is part of the storyline and CANNOT be missed.

  • Find the lowest point in the world.

Whilst facing the temple walk towards the stairs on the left and follow the wall around until you reach a small underground passage.

The exact spot is shown in this video:

  • Finish the game in under 12 hours.

There’s no way to track this but I got this one after just playing the game. Yeah, just playing, no speed run or skipping steps in the storyline. I also found 700 light seeds and sometimes just forget to pause the game while I was eating (I eat fast). So I think most people will get this by the end of their first playthrough.

  • Find every combo in the game.

Information on all combos required for this achievement can be found here (LINK). Thanks to B1indSide and Jones23 for the thread.
