Introduction:
Red Dead Redemption is the follow up title to the popular Red Dead Revolver. If you have played the previous Grand Theft Auto games you will be at home with a very similar game layout and style. Even though this game is based on the same engine as Grand Theft Auto 4 it has several very unique features.

Breakdown:
The game is broken up into several sections, story, side-missions and ambient objectives. The main story is a fair length but you will spend a fraction of your time completing these missions.

Achievement Issues:
There have been several reports of certain achievements not unlocking when they should. If this does happen the best resolve seems to be clearing your cache and re-attempting the achievement. This may not fix all issues but it has worked in most cases.

Main Story:
As you progress through the story you will encounter a handful of characters and earn most achievements with natural progression. You won't need to worry so much about these as they will unlock as you progress. There are several weapon based achievements which will also unlock with natural progression. The one achievement you will need to work for is "Spurred to Victory", this requires you to complete 20 missions on the same horse without changing or killing the horse. Make sure you earn this achievement as soon as possible. If you don't, you will need to start over at some point to earn it.

The one achievement you may have issue with is "Mowing Them Down", this requires you to earn 500 kills with a stationary gun. You will only earn this within the story mode if you're very lucky. The one way around this is to play a private free-roam and head to fort El Presidio in Mexico. From here you can become wanted and use one of the cannons to kill an endless amount of the Mexican Army.

Misc Achievements:
On top of the main story missions there are several achievements linked to mini games, hideouts, strangers and weapon based achievements. You can progress towards these achievements at your own rate, and at any point.

Completing the game to 100%:
Next to earning level 50 in multiplayer, this will be the most time consuming section of the game. You will need to complete the following objectives to earn the big 100 achievement:

  • Missions (57)
  • Rare Weapons (5)
  • Jobs (5)
  • Player Houses (13)
  • Outfits (9)
  • Gang Hideouts (7)
  • Bounty Locations (20)
  • Mini Games (6)
  • Challenges (8)
  • Strangers (19)
  • Map Locations (94)

You can use this thread if you need hints, tips and extra information on completing the requirements.

Ambient Challenges:
There is a very long list of ambient free-roam challenges, which you will need to complete. They include 18 stranger missions, 20 bounty hunter missions, 7 gang hideouts, 5 jobs and 10 ranks over 4 different challenge modes. By following the 100% guide above you shouldn't have any issue finding all the locations and requirements to complete each challenge. There are several achievements linked to these challenges and they all count towards the 100% completion.

Multiplayer:
Most of the multiplayer achievements can be earned with little effort, though you will need to find a boosting partner or two for the consecutive wins. Leveling up will take the longest, but if you have the patience to play through gang hideouts you should be able to reach level 50 in no time.

If you're having issues with the free-roam multiplayer side of things you can find a partner in the Posse Sign-Up Thread to help you. You will either need to find 7 other players to help with "Posse Up" or keep inviting people into your own posse as they join the free-roam. The rest of the online achievements can be earned through teamwork and communication.

Downloadable Content:

Before you start, you can get the first pack "Outlaws to the End" for free. This pack includes 10 achievements which will place you in a set of co-op based missions. This set of achievements are no more challenging than the ones provided with the game, but some will require you to play with expert aiming. I recommend you play through the casual missions several times, and earn your gold badges before progressing to the advanced modes. You will also need to find yourself a co-op partner. If you get stuck any any point you can use this guide for reference.

Legends and Killers Pack:

This pack consists of 10 more achievements, and several new multiplayer characters, challenges, locations and a few single player challenges. You will also have a new projectile weapon, the Tomahawk. Nearly all of these challenges and achievements can be completed in a private free roam with a friend or another player. Though this time you will need three friends to join your session to complete "Who needs Deadeye?" and "Double Bagger". The rest of the achievements are based around kill styles or challenges, you can use this guide for reference. The one achievement which may seem rather illusive to some players is "Legendary". You will be required to reach level 50, then pass over into your first Legend Rank. If you have already done this the achievement will unlock once you load up multiplayer. For anyone who is far from reaching level 50, and your first Legend Rank. Just keep at the multiplayer, play through the hideouts and complete challenges. Also make sure you check the Rockstar Newwire for upcoming XP events.

Note: Do not use the offline XP boosting methods. If you remove the patches and earn XP offline in a private free roam or via System Link, your multiplayer ranks and experience will be rest once you re-install the patches to go online.

Liars and Cheats:

The only singleplayer achievement to worry about is the Master Exploder achievement. The achievement requires you to complete the Explosive Rifle challenges in singleplayer. There are 5 different challenges to complete. The first challenge is to purchase the rifle. It is available for purchase from Blackwater's Blacksmith. See the achievement's description for more information on the achievement.

Multiplayer is where Liar's and Cheats really shines. With the inclusion of Liar's Dice, Poker, and Races, you'll have a blast with each new addition. Most achievements are straightforward and easy, however there are a couple that will take a little bit of grinding, a few boosting partners and a little perseverance. Each minigame has achievements related to it, and are quite simple to unlock. Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace and Compulsive Liar, however, require a FULL game (6 players each minigame) and will take the most time to complete. Stronghold is a new gametype that also brings in some new achievements. These CAN be earned in a Private match, so the only problem will be to find the correct amount of people to boost it. Boosting partners can be found in the Achievement Trading Thread.

Undead Nightmare:

During your playthrough, make sure to check the surrounding areas for territories to save. There are 22 of them, 13 in America and 9 in Mexico. After so many in-game hours these locations will come under attack again (roughly 30-72 hours). Try to keep them saved so you have less to do during the cleanup section. You can tell when a location is under attack if on the map the location has a green marker on it. See Spinning Plates for more details about saving locations.

After completing the story, you will aim for 100% completion in Undead Nightmare's singleplayer portion. Anything you didn't do while playing through the story will be done now. 100% requires all challenges, all graveyards to be cleared, all stranger missions, break the unicorn, all outfits, have every territory saved at least once and save all 16 survivors. See Chupathingy for details on the chupacabra, Mad Marston: The Trail Warrior for challenges, Fan Service for the unicorn and Spinning Plates for details on saving territories.

For the multiplayer portion of the Undead Nightmare expansion, it contains 2 simple achievements worth 10 a piece. Neither take that long, the main problem with doing Kingpin is that it either requires you to be decent at Red Dead's multiplayer or that you get a group of 8 other people to boost it with you. Get the 8 other people together and start a land grab in a private free roam, and then take turns killing each person while you are in control of the land.

Conclusion:
Overall you will enjoy your experience passing through the west and story. The main story won't take you forever to complete, but there are plenty of extra activities and challenges to do on the way. Most achievements will come naturally with a little effort, but others will require patience and time to complete.

There are 95 achievements with a total of 1500 points

  • Win over 2000 chips in a hand of Poker.

There are two ways to earn this achievement. One will be from playing high stakes poker in Blackwater, the other will be to go all in while completing the mission "Lucky in Love". Your aim will be to win 2,000 chips in a single pot. Raising the pot against the AI is very time consuming; you will also need to know the game inside and out to be very successful.

    Blackwater:
Before you can access Blackwater you need to complete Act 2 so you can access The North. High Stakes Poker will allow you to place bets than exceed any limit elsewhere in the game. Before you take part in these games you may want to buy the Elegant Suit from the Tailors shop in Thieves' Landing.

If you're not so good with card games but want to learn you can follow this tutorial and teach yourself how to play.

    Mexico, Lucky In Love:
If you're not so good with card games but want to earn this achievement with ease you can try and trick the AI in the mission "Lucky In Love". You will be given this mission by Landon Ricketts as you progress through the story. As you sit down to play the game you will start with 1,000 chips. Go all in with 1,000 chips, at this point some players may bet or fold. Once you win, repeat the same bet again. If you're successful you will win 2,000 chips and the story will continue.

This method doesn't always work the first time. You may need to reload a previous checkpoint or save and try again. If all the players fold you won't win the full 2,000 required.

You will find poker games in the following locations:

    • Armadillo
    • Blackwater
    • Casa Madrugada
    • Chuparosa
    • MacFarline's Ranch
    • Thieves' Landing
  • Complete a game of Liar's Dice without losing a single die.

This mini-game is based off of pure luck. The whole point is to guess how many of the die faces have the same number when revealed. The best way to tackle the game is to place honest bets on your own dice. Follow the in-game tutorial and play several games to get the hang of how the game works. If the AI numbers seem honest, such as two low number dice faces, it could be correct. This isn't always true but it does seem to be a running pattern.

Holding onto all five of your dice is very difficult in a game of chance so keep at it until you knock the AI out of the game.

You will find Liar's Dice in the following locations:

    • Thieves' Landing
    • Casa Madrugada
    • Escalera
  • Get a ringer in a game of Horseshoes.

Winning a game of horseshoes will require some patience as you line up your shots. Take your time and aim carefully, use the to aim your throw, then pull and push the to build up speed. You will want to land a green power bar between the two markers. This will take a lot of patience unless you get lucky within your first few tries.

You will find a game of Horseshoes in the following locations:

    • Las Hermanas
    • MacFarlane's Ranch
    • Tathskeller Fork
  • Complete Twin Rocks, Pike's Basin, and Gaptooth Breach Hideouts in Single Player.

Completing the following hideouts will unlock this achievement.

    Twin Rocks Hideout:
    Requirement: New Friends, Old Problems
    Objective: Kill the Walton Gang
    Reward: Volcanic Pistol

    Pike's Basin Hideout:
    Requirement: Justice in Pike's Basin
    Objective: Kill the Bollard Gang
    Reward: Sawed-off Shotgun

    Gaptooth Breach Hideout:
Requirement: Man is Born Unto Trouble
    Objective: Rescue Floyd
    Reward: Springfield Rifle

    See "Instinto Asesino"

  • Complete Tumbleweed and Tesoro Azul Hideouts in Single Player.

Completing the following hideouts will unlock this achievement.

    Tumbleweed Hideout:
    Requirement: New Friends, Old Problems
    Objective: Kill the Criminals
    Reward: Winchester Repeater

    Tesoro Azul Hideout:
    Requirement: The Demon Drink
    Objective: Kill the Criminals
    Reward: Double Action Revolver

    See "Instinto Asesino"

  • Complete Fort Mercer and Nosalida Hideouts in Single Player.

There are a total of seven different hideouts located around New Austin and Mexico. You will need to make your way to each hideout after completing a set story mission requirement, then complete the objectives provided. If you turn up and there's no one to talk to or an objective surrounding the hideout, you haven't completed the criteria to start that side mission.

Completing the following hideouts will unlock this achievement.

    Fort Mercer Hideout:
Requirement: We Shall Be Together in Paradise
    Objective: Kill the Criminals
    Reward: Semi-automatic Pistol

    Nosalida Hideout:
Requirement: We Shall Be Together in Paradise
    Objective: Burn down the hideout
    Reward: Heavy Repeater

  • Knock someone out in melee in every saloon in the game in Single Player.

There are seven saloons throughout the various towns. Once you enter a saloon equip your fists by holding the and selecting fist with the . Once inside, pick a fight with whomever and knock them out. Do this in all seven saloons and the achievement will unlock.

You will find a saloon in the following locations:

    • Armadillo
    • Thieves' Landing
    • Rathskeller Fork
    • Escalera
    • Chuparosa
    • Casa Madrugada
    • Blackwater

    Map of saloon locations

Note: Make sure you're inside the saloon fully. If you knock someone out just outside or in the doorway you won't be credited for the knock out. The best way to make sure this achievement unlocks is to locate the bar and stay close to it.

  • Complete a task for a Stranger.

    See "People are Still Strange"

  • Complete 15 tasks for Strangers.

Throughout the world you will find Strangers in various locations. You will know if there is a Stranger near by as you will see a question mark noted on your map. Find and complete the objectives given to you by 15 different strangers, there are more than 15 in the world so make sure you complete them all.

    Strangers Map

  • Break the Kentucky Saddler, the American Standardbred, and the Hungarian Half-bred.

Before you can attempt this you will need to earn the lasso and complete the tutorial mission "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions". This mission will show you how to lasso and break a horse. Once you have completed the tutorial you can then proceed to find the horses required for this achievement.

    Kentucky Saddler: (Story Related)
This horse is a pale golden colour, you will be rewarded with this horse for completed the "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions" mission.

    American Standardbred: (Great Plains/Tall Trees)
The Standardbred stands out from the rest of the horses due to its black colour. This is probably the most obvious horse in a herd.

    Hungarian Half-bred: (Mexico)
This horse tends to blend in with other horses due to its white colouring and dark face. Some of the other pale coloured horses look the same from a distance.

  • Capture a bounty alive.

This can be fairly tricky if your bounty starts to make a run for it. Find any wanted poster in the various towns (marked with a skull on your map). Accept the bounty and make your way to the bounty's location. Take out the various enemies but do not kill the red skull marked on your map, instead shoot out his legs. Once he stumbled quickly change to your lasso and wrangle him. You can change to your lasso by holding the and selecting it with the . Once you rope the bounty press and hold the and quickly hogtie him with the . If you're not quick enough the bounty will escape.

Pick up the bounty, and then place him on the back of your house. Make your way back to the wanted poster to claim your reward and achievement.

  • Purchase a rare weapon from a gunsmith.

There are five rare weapons which can purchase from various gunsmiths. Buy one of the following guns to unlock the achievement, but make sure you buy all five for the 100% completion achievement.

    • Carcano Sniper Rifle, $1,100, Blackwater
    • Evans Repeater, $1,000, Blackwater
    • LeMat Revolver, $1250, Escalera (Unlocks at the end of act 2)
    • Mauser Pistol, $800, Blackwater
    • Semi-automatic Shotgun, $1,000, Escalera

These prices will chance as your fame rank goes up.

  • Kill and skin 18 grizzly bears.

Grizzlies are one the least common animal and you will only find them in the The North. Before you attempt this you will want to stock up on ammo and save on a regular basis. You will find bears most commonly between Tanners Reach, Aurora Basin and Nekoti Rock.

Once you kill a bear check your surrounding as more often than not, another bear will come up behind you and kill you. Once you have killed a bear, run up to it and press to skin it. I suggest you kill several bears in a row, skin them and set up a camp site and save your progress. The last thing you want to happen is lose your large streak of bear kills and have to start over.

  • Obtain the Elegant Suit.

Once you gain access to the small island between The North and New Austin you can buy this suit from the tailors shop in Thieves' Landing. You will need to spend $70 on the suit. The achievement will unlock once you buy the suit, you don't have to wear it.

If you want to make the most of your poker games this suit will allow you to cheat by pressing while dealing the cards.

  • Earn $10,000 in Single Player.

As you progress you will earn money for completing missions, side objectives, looting enemies and placing bets in mini games. You don't need to hold $10,000 at once as this will slowly stack up as you progress through the game. Complete as many side missions and objectives as possible. You should earn this somewhere between completing the game and earning the 100% achievement.

After completing the Treasure Hunter ambient challenges sell all the gold you have found as this will boost you towards the $10,000 total with ease.

  • Obtain Legendary rank in any Single Player Ambient Challenge.

To earn the Legendary rank within these challenges you need to complete every challenge for that set activity. You can keep track of your challenges by pressing then going to journal and challenges. To reach a Legendary Rank you have to complete all 10 levels of either of the following activities.

    • Survivalist
    • Master Hunter
    • Sharpshooter
    • Treasure Hunter

You can find hints and tips on dealing with these challenges here.

  • Score a headshot on any enemy using Expert targeting mode.

This isn't as difficult as it sounds. There are three difficulty settings, one of them being Expert. Using the Expert difficult you will need to manually aim at all your targets without aid from the auto aim system. Just take your time on this difficulty and carefully aim for the head.

It may take a while to line up your shots and get used to playing like this but you should score a headshot in time.

  • Attain highest Fame rank and either highest Honor rank or lowest Honor rank.

Note: While completing missions make sure that you do not have your bandana equipped if you own one. Wearing one while completing story missions or side missions will cause you to not be rewarded your fame or honor points from the mission.

Fame and Honor will come from progressing through the story missions. Every time you complete an objective you will be rewarded with Fame or Honor points. Raising and lowering your Honor level is a lot easier and will require less effort. Decide what path you want to take and stick to it.

This will unlock at some point later in the game. Complete as many activities as possible. Once you get close to the 100% completion this should unlock with any issues. Just make sure you don't stray your either good or bad honor, as it will just waste time. Raising your Fame bar will take longer than your honor bar so make sure you help people at the side of the road and complete all the misc tasks.

  • Earn a Gold Medal Rank for a combat mission in Single Player.

Earning a gold medal any of the combat missions requires you to earn a set time, accuracy and headshots. Once you start a combat mission make sure your shots count and aim for the head. Use your Dead Eye ability as much as possible to increase your chances of a perfect shot.

You can keep track of your mission progress by pressing and selecting stats. You will then find a sub-menu called missions. Here you can see all your badges for each missions, you will also be able to select any mission and replay it.

Most missions are fairly easy once you know what to do. You will either get this from natural progression or by replaying a mission you know really well. Always skip cut-scenes as they add to your mission time. Try replaying the missions "Cowards Die Many Times", "Lucky In Love" and any of the Home missions.

You will be accounted for accuracy, time and headshots within the missions. Try not to miss headshots as this will ruin your final score.

  • Uncover every location on the map in Single Player.

There are 94 locations in total through the whole of the map, visiting each location may take a while depending on what activities you are taking part in. Just progress through the game at your own progress and you should find most locations with little to no effort. You can use the following map to find all the locations you may be missing:

    Map of all locations
(This map does not include hideout locations, see "Instinto Asesino" for the hideout location map)

Alternatively instead of using the above map you can keep track of your progress from your Rockstar Social profile if you have one. This profile may not update instantly so you may want to keep checking it.

  • Use a pardon letter with more than $5000 bounty in Single Player.

You will be given your first pardon letter by Seth, instead of using it hold onto the letter and just pay off the bounty instead. If you do use this pardon letter early on, you can earn more by completing the hideout side missions. I suggest you make a new save and attempt this away from your main save file. Once you have completed the requirements you can then load back your original save and continue playing through the story.

Once you have access to The North you can then make your way to Blackwater. On the western side of town you will find a train station. Just across the street is a large red brick building, which has the title "Welcome to Blackwater" painted on the site. Climb to the top of this building and start killing people. You can stand at the top of the ladder and pick people off as you see them. If you span the camera around from the town hall lawn to the train station you will find an infinite loop of AI civilians. Keep killing people until you reach $5,000 bounty. You can now duck behind cover on top of the building and wait for your wanted level to vanish.

Once your wanted level has dropped make a run for the train station and use your pardon letter to void your bounty. Do not shoot anyone as you make your way to the train station, if you do your wanted level will go back up and using the letter won't be possible.

  • Attain 100% in the Single Player Game Completion stat.

To fully complete the game you will need to find everything, complete everything and finish the game.

You will need to complete the following missions and side objectives and other activities:

    • Missions (57)
    • Rare Weapons (5)
    • Jobs (5)
    • Player Houses (13)
    • Outfits (9)
    • Gang Hideouts (7)
    • Bounty Locations (20)
    • Mini Games (6)
    • Challenges (8)
    • Strangers (19)
    • Map Locations (94)

If you need help finding certain things or require tips for the various challenges use this thread.

You can keep track of all your stats either from within the game or via the Rockstar Social website. You will be required to make yourself an account and link your gamertag for your stats to be displayed.

  • Kill 500 enemies with a mounted weapon in any game mode.

    (64)

All single player and multiplayer kills count towards this achievement. You will need to earn kills online or offline, they do not stack towards the same statistics.

You will encounter the Gatling Gun on a regular basis throughout the games story missions. when you do encounter the Gatling Gun kill as many people as possible. There are several missions where you will be told to use this gun.

    • Browning (Doesn't always register kills)
    • Gatling Gun
    • Cannon

If you unlock this while playing through the main story you will be very lucky. The best way to earn this achievement is to start a private free-roam session and head to the fort in Mexico called El Presidio. In this fort you will find several Cannons and a Gatling Gun. Once inside alert the army, you can now sit on a cannon or gun of choice and gun down the army as they come to arrest you. The cannon on the cliff edge on the northern side seems to be the best cannon to use.

    See "Long Arm of Marston"

  • Kill 500 enemies with any pistol or revolver in any game mode.

    (14)

All single player and multiplayer kills count towards this achievement. You will need to earn kills online or offline, they do not stack towards the same same statistics.

There are various pistols and revolvers found through the open world. You can use any of the following pistols:

    • Cattleman Revolver
    • Volcanic Pistol
    • Semi-Automatic Pistol

    • Mauser Pistol
    • Shofield Revolver

    (8)

All single player and multiplayer kills count towards this achievement. You will need to earn kills online or offline, they do not stack towards the same statistics.

Killing 500 enemies with the various weapon types will be very time consuming. Just progress through the game at your own pace, once you have finished the game and all the free roam activities you should have earned a fair amount of kills with each gun. You can now take your character online and continue with your weapon kills with the community.

    Rifles/Repeaters:

    • Repeater Carbine
    • Winchester Repeater
    • Henry Repeater
    • Evans Repeater
    • Springfield Rifle

    • Buffalo Rifle

    Shotguns:

    • Double-Barreled Shotgun
    • Sawed-Off Shotgun
    • Pump-Action Shotgun
    • Semi-Auto Shotgun

This set of achievements will come with general game progression. If you are close to the required kill amount then keep using that weapon type until you unlock the achievement. Then move on to the next.

  • Get 250 headshots in any game mode.

    (9)

All single player and multiplayer kills count towards this achievement. You will need to earn kills online or offline, they do not stack towards the same same statistics.

This may come naturally to some players, but not so much to other players. The easiest way to earn headshots is to use your dead eye and aim for the head. This way there is no way you can miss. To use dead eye click in your and the screen will change colour and slow everything down. This will give you time to line up your shots.

  • Kill one of every animal species in the game in any game mode.

Note: This achievement has been known to unlock at different times for different people.

  • Complete all Hideouts in a single public Free Roam session.

You will be facing the same hideouts online that you do in single player. You can either do them yourself or with friends in a posse. Just approach the various hideouts and complete the objectives required. All hideouts can be found by locating the hideout symbols on the map.

While working towards this achievement you may want to find a friend to complete "Slow on the Draw" at the same time.

  • Get 10 assists in a single Hideout in a public Free Roam session.

This can either be done with friends, or own your own with random players. The best way is to rush ahead and shot all the enemies in the leg. This doesn't always register as an assisted kill when another player kills a wounded enemy. If you get to the end of the hideout without earning the achievement, either start again or move onto the next hideout and do the same again.

If you're doing this with a friend tell them which enemy you are going to shoot so they can quickly finish them off. You may also kill another enemy your partner(s) have attacked. This will also count towards the achievement. If you see assisted "gamertag" on the right hand side of the screen it has registered towards the achievement.

  • Get from Blackwater to Escalera before sundown in a public Free Roam session.

Before you start this make sure the clock on the start menu has at least 6 or so hours of light. The sun rises at 6am and sets at around 5pm, use the transport hubs to make your way up to Blackwater. Bring up your map and then move down to the bottom left hand corner and place a marker at Escalera. Once you're ready make your way from Blackwater down to Escalera, be careful to avoid other players, as most will shoot at you regardless.

Make sure that Blackwater and Escalera have appeared at least once on your screen so you know that you're in the right area. If you're slightly outside the town areas it will not register that you have entered the town.

  • Create a posse and get the maximum number of members.

    (89)

Posses consist of 8 members. You will need to either make friends with 7 other people or use the Posse Sign-Up Thread to find other like-minded players for this achievement.

Enter any free-roam session and then his the button, next hit the and scroll down to your gamertag. From here you and press and start a new posse. You will now be able to invite friends and other players to join your posses by selecting their tags and press to send an invite. You will need to find seven other members to join your posse. You cannot join a posse and earn this achievement, only the leader will earn the achievement. So if you're working towards this with other players make sure you cycle through everyone being the leader for this achievement.

  • Be the top scoring player in any three consecutive FFA games in public matches.

Winning three consecutive Free For All games requires you to play three games none stop and win each one. If you quit out or decide to join another FFA session your progress will be lost.

You will either have to be very lucky or be very good at the various game modes that you will enter.

    Boosting Method:
Join a public free roam session with a friend. Establish a Posse and go to any FFA game marker on the map. Make sure you're away from other players in a quiet section of the map. Now that you're both in a Posse walk up to the FFA Game Marker and press together. This will start a game lobby with both players. Press and hold to start the game.

Now you should both be in a lobby together, press to start force start the game. Allow whoever is going first to win the duel, then the person who isn't going to win the round quits out of multiplayer. Exit back out to your main game.

The player who is going for the three consecutive wins now needs to invite their friends back into the game. You should both be back in the same lobby, keep repeating this process until one player has all three wins.

If other players join your game lobby vote to kick them out so they don't interfere with the outcome.

  • Reach the top rank for multiplayer experience.

    (43)

You will be required to play various online modes to rank up your character to level 50. This is a rather slow process but should come at a fair speed while playing online. You will earn XP for various activities you take part in, as well as killing other playings and completing objectives.

    • Rank 10 - 8910 xp
    • Rank 20 - 42810 xp
    • Rank 30 - 106710 xp
    • Rank 40 - 203910 xp
    • Rank 50 - 337110 xp

As you progress through each rank you will earn new rewards such as weapons, horses, game modes, PVP Challenges and Free Roam Challenges. Just progress at your own speed and you should hit level 50 in no time.

You can replay hideouts as many times as you like, if you keep doing this on your own in a private match you can earn anywhere between 1,500xp and 3,000xp per hideout.

  • Be on the winning team for four consecutive victories in any team based game in public matches.

This may seem impossible but it's not as hard as you might think. Join any Gang Matches and keep playing until you have four consecutive wins. You may join many games and miss out on the achievement by one win, just keep playing and you will soon earn this achievement with little to no effort.

See "The Quick and Everyone Else..." for boosting method.

  • Become a Public Enemy for 10 minutes and escape alive in a public Free Roam session.

This has to be completed in a public match.

In theory this isn't too difficult, but it depends on the odds of being killed by another player. You can do this just about anywhere you can hide from the law, such as hiding on top of a building, or in an area where the AI can't reach you. There is a large red brick building across from the train station in Blackwater. You can hide on top of this building for 10 minutes and pick off various civilians and law enforcement. Raise your bounty to $1,000 and you will become a public enemy. You can now just sit and wait for 10 minutes (real time). Once the 10 minutes are over you need to get on your horse and escape the law enforcers. If they don't spot you when getting down from the building you will get away with little effort.

If you are having difficulty with this on your own have a friend or posse back you up. Once you have your horse keep running until you outrun the law enforcement.

  • Kill a Rockstar or someone with this achievement in a public multiplayer match.

Much like all the previous Rockstar games you will earn this semi-viral achievement by either killing a Rockstar developer, or by killing someone who has killed a Rockstar developer.

Just keep playing the game online and earning as many kills as you can. This will either come with patience or from enjoying the multiplayer.

To activate this mission you will need to make your way to the Blackwater train station. You will meet a stranger who will provide you with some information and a location. Start the mission and progress until you finish the related objectives.

  • Place a hogtied woman on the train tracks, and witness her death by train.

Before you can attempt this achievement you will need to lasso, which you earn from Bonnie in the early missions. Once you do have it you can lasso and hogtie any women you desire, though there are some, which are easier than others. If you don't want to damage your fame or honor you can buy a bandana from Thieves' Land at the tailors shop.

Once you have either item you can now lasso your victim. Lasso and hogtie the lady of choice and place her on your horse. You can now make your way to the train track, check your map to see where the active train is. You will be looking for red train icon following the tracks. Head towards the train and play your victim on the tracks by pressing . Now just stand back and watch as the train plows down your victim and the achievement unlocks.

  • Complete 20 story missions without switching to a new horse at a hitching post.

You will start the game with a default horse; you can either change your horse or stick to the one you are given. Just progress through the story without swamping your horse for 20 story missions.

I suggest you do this from the start of the game and progress through all the story missions until the achievement unlocks. You can hitch your horse, though if you mount another horse by mistake and hitch that one you will loose your progress.

You don't need to hitch your horse in this game so there is no real need. You can call your horse at any time by pressing and the horse you have always used will come running. If your horse dies your counter for this achievement will reset.

    Home Missions:

    • Jack (4)
    • Abigail (2)
    • Uncle (2)
    • Fianle (1)

Note: This achievement has a mind of it's own so it may unlock sooner or later for some people.

  • Evade the US Marshals while riding the Hungarian Half-Bred horse in Single Player.

Before you start this you will need to break a Hungarian Half-Bred (white horse with a dark face). Once you have broken the horse you can then buy the deed for that specific horse, activate the deed from your satchel and you can call the horse you require.

If you don't want this to affect your current progress I suggest you save in one of the empty slots. Stock up on ammo and make your way to any town. You will now need to start killing law enforcement, after you have killed 20 law enforcers you can now leave town and lose your wanted level. You're now going to need to ride around for a while until a notice pops up on your screen telling you the US Marshals have found you. One this happens you need to outrun them and escape. Evading the Marshals won't be as easy compared to outlaws, law enforcement or posses as they are highly skilled.

You can evade them by either killing them or running and loosing your wanted level.

  • Kill the last buffalo in the Great Plains in Single Player.

This can only be completed in the Great Plains. You will first need to finish Act 2 to gain access to this area. Make your way to the Great Plains and ride around until you find the Buffalo. They are normally roaming around in the open. To unlock the achievement you need to kill all 20 of the herd. Make sure that you pick off the buffalo from a distance, if they run off don't chase them. Save often and come back to this area every once in a while to kill the odd buffalo you see. Once you kill the last buffalo the achievement will unlock.

Attempting this early on with a less powerful gun can take a while. If you have a sniper rifle use that instead it's a one shot kill on any buffalo.

Note: If the buffalo run into the river and kill themselves they sometimes don't re-spawn. If this happens there is no way for you to earn the achievement. Make sure you don't chase them.

DLC: Outlaws to the End (Store Link)

There are 10 achievements with a total of 100 points

  • Complete a Co-Op mission.

    (36)

After completing your first mission you will be rewarded with this achievement. Just complete the mission without everyone failing.

    See "Struck gold"

  • Complete all Co-Op missions.

    (29)

Complete the following six missions and you will be rewarded with this achievement at the end. You can keep track of how many missions you have complete from the Journal.

    See "Struck gold"

  • Complete a Co-Op mission with just 2 people.

    (21)

Before you attempt this either find another player using the Achievement Trading Thread, or invite a friend into your game. Start a private free roam and enter the co-op mission lobby. Complete a single mission with a friend and the achievement will unlock.

You won't be able to complete this in a public lobby unless you get very lucky and stumble across an empty lobby with just one other player. Most lobbies will fill up within a matter of seconds.

  • Gold medal any Co-Op mission.

    (6)

Earning a gold medal is simple, just as long as you complete a mission in a timely manor, and have a respective team score. Most missions can be completed within no more than 10 minutes with a good team and decent score. If one of your players quits your final score will be tarnished and a badge may not be issued.

Be very careful who you play with as this can be quite damaging to your attempts of each mission.

    See "Struck gold"

  • Gold medal all Co-Ops missions.

    (28)

There are a total of six different Co-Op missions. Completing them is simple, but earning a gold medal will require a good team and coordination. You will need at least two players to start a match, but four is suggested.

Your overall score and time will factor into how well you do, and what badge you earn. Play as a team, don't run off and make sure that you score high enough points.

You must have all your players alive at the end of each mission. All the missions are fairly simple, though "The River" will probably be the one mission which causes the most trouble. If a player quits mid game this will damage your overall score.

If you make sure you complete all the objectives within a timely manor, and all players are alive at the end you shouldn't have any issues with earning each gold medal.

    Missions:

    • The Escape
    • The Kidnapped Girl
    • The Herd
    • The River
    • Ammunition
    • Walton's Gold

I suggest you play through each mission a few times to get used to the objectives. Most are simple and require little effort, the faster you complete each mission the more XP you will earn from extra side objectives.

  • Complete a Co-Op mission without anyone dying.

    (9)

Stick together with your team and make sure everyone takes cover. As long as you no one rushes ahead you should have no issue earning this. Completing "The Escape", "The Kidnapped Girl" or the "The Herd" will be the easier missions to earn this one.

If you are having issues with other players, compete this privately with a friend.

  • Complete all Advanced Co-Op missions.

    (26)

Progress through all the missions at your own pace. You will have to complete several different objectives, but you will be using the Advanced Targeting System instead.

As long as you complete the missions without failing you will be rewarded after completing all six missions.

    See "The mother lode"

  • Gold medal all Advanced Co-Op missions.

    (100)

To unlock the advanced co-op game mode, you will need to complete all the general Co-Op missions. Once you have completed all six you will unlock the Advanced Missions.

If you don't have any experience with the advanced modes in Red Dead Redemption, you will need to play through each mission several times until you succeed. You won't be assisted with auto aim, and the enemies will down your player much faster.

Much like the previous Co-Op missions, time and your overall score count towards each medal.

    The Escape
    Objectives:

    • Steal the Gold
    • Clear Tumbleweed
    • Face and Escape the Army

    The Kidnapped Girl Objectives:

    • Clear the Hideout
    • Take the girl to the house
    • Protect the girl

    The Herd Objectives:

    • Save the Herd
    • Pass through the canyon
    • Get at least 5 cows to the ranch

    The River Objectives:

    • Clear the first landing
    • Clear the banks and other rafts
    • Clear the second landing
    • Clear the banks and rafts a second time
    • Clear the final landing and destroy the supply crates.

    Ammunition Objectives:

    • Clear the Hideout
    • Stop the Cannons
    • Destroy the Cannons

    Walton's GoldObjectives:

    • Clear Gaptooth Breach
    • Enter the Mine and collect the gold
    • Hold your own against the gang

As long as you know your objectives and communicate with your team you will be able to succeed every mission with a gold badge. If you're having trouble with the mission try some of the techniques mentioned in this thread.

  • Achieve a kill chain of 10 or more in any Advanced Co-Op mission.

    (26)

You can do this on just about any mission where there are more than 10 enemies on the screen at once. I suggest you setup a private mission with another play on "The Herd". At the start of the level you will see the camp below, select the Bolt Action Rifle as your primary weapon and use the Rolling Block Rifle to snipe the enemies. Run across the top of the canyon and shoot the TNT box on right side of the camp with the Bolt Action Rifle. Now change to your sniper rifle and pick off enemies.

While you're doing this have your team mate if use any of the Repeaters to hurt the larger enemies. They can also shoot other enemies to weaken them for you. Carefully aim for the head and chest, you don't want to waste more than one bullet on each enemy.

  • Complete a Co-Op mission without dying.

    (4)

Once you start one of the missions, take cover with the and take your time. If you rush into the middle of a gun fight you won't last very long. You can also keep your distance and pick enemies off with a rifle.

You can choose your load out at the start of each mission by running up to one of the tailors dress mannequins and hit to change your load out.

Make it though one of the missions without dying and you will be rewarded for staying alive.

DLC: Legends and Killers (Store Link)

There are 10 achievements with a total of 100 points

  • Come back from a 2-0 deficit and win a Hold Your Own game.

Hold your own consists of two teams. Your goal is to capture the other teams gold and win overall. For this achievement you need to let the other team win by two captures. Then once they hit two you will need to win the game by exceeding their captures and win the match. The only way you will be able to do this without struggling online is gain experience in the game it's self and the maps you play on. If you have a good team and can overpower the other team with little effort you shouldn't have an issue with this.

    Boosting Method:
If you are having trouble earning these achievements without getting frustrated, you can setup a boosting match with a few friends. Head into a public freeroam and meet up at a town of your choice. Make sure the freeroam is rather empty, as other players just tend to interfere. Have everyone meet at the marker of choice, now make sure everyone presses roughly at the same time. You will now all be taken into the same game mode and lobby. You can now setup different game matches by skipping through the playlists by press to skip or to start a match.

Just skip through the various matches until you find the mode you want. Once you join the game work out which achievements you're working towards, if other players join you can vote to kick them if they become an issue.

  • Kill 3 or more players in a standoff or showdown.

If you're fairly lucky and most other players aren't aiming at you, you should be able to kill three other people while dodging out the way. You may need to play several standoffs/showdowns to do so, but it depends how quick you are at drawing. I recommend you play a standard playlist and not the advanced as then you can take advantage of the lock on feature with the draw. To snap between players, aim towards someone and then quickly tap the to snap onto the player. Keep doing this until you have killed three other players.

Alternatively you can find three other people to join you in a Free For All match, then have them stand there while you take it in turns to kill each other for the achievement requirements.

See "Call it a Comeback!" for boosting information.

  • Get 3 kills with knives or throwing knives in a single competitive match.

A competitive match consists of any Free For All playlist. Once you get into a Free For All match, change over to your knife. With the knife equipped you can now make your way around trying to earn your three kills with throwing knives/knife. Try to sneak up behind players so you catch them off guard as once you're spotted they will most likely kill you before you can react.

You can use the same method mentioned in "Call it a Comeback!" to get into the same game modes. Just get close enough to another play and either knife them, or use a throwing knife if you have found one through your multiplayer session.

  • Double capture 3 times in a single Gold Rush map.

This will be tricky for some when it comes to the more populated games. Once you enter a Gold Rush match you will need to scramble to grab two bags and drop them in the chest. You need to repeat this three times over the course of a single match.

If you don't have enough experience with this game mode, you can find someone to setup a match with and collect the bags while they stand around.

Note: To do this on your own with other players, you will need two other people. This game mode will only spawn one bag with two players, and two bags with three.

    Tips and Tricks:
You're going to want to use your strongest weapon to start with, or a weapon with a decent mid to long range unless you're playing in a crowded game. Use cover when possible and pay close attention to your map. Once you have two bags you will move slower so make sure you know where your drop chest is.

You may also want to dodge around, you can slide into cover with the and roll while aiming by pressing . Unless you play a lot of Gold Rush this may take some time to complete until you gain some experience.

See "Call it a Comeback!" for boosting information.

  • Kill 5 players via headshot in a single Shootout or Gang Shootout.

You can either do this online or with a friend. Make sure you're in a Shootout or Gang shootout game mode and achieve five headshots within the match. While aiming at other players, lock on to them with the push up on the to aim for their head. If you don't already do this you should as it's an instant kill with most rifles.

If you take cover a lot and stay still the other players on the map won't be able to see your position. This will help you pick off the odd person running around on their own trying to snipe others.

See "Call it a Comeback!" for boosting information.

  • Reach level 50 and pass into Legend.

Before you can turn into a Legend you need to level up through the different levels in multiplayer until you hit 50. Once you hit level 50 you will be given the change to start over again as a Legend.

To change your status from rank 50 back to a rank 1 Legend hit while in multiplayer, then go down to the multiplayer tab. You should see your multiplayer profile on the screen; press while on this screen and you will pass through to your next round of leveling. Just be careful not to hit while in this menu if you don't want to level up just yet.

If you have passed over and already become a Legend, this achievement will unlock automatically once you start playing multiplayer.

  • Get a kill greater than 35 yards with a Tomahawk.

There are two ways to complete this; one is to invite a friend into a free roam and start throwing tomahawks at each other from various distances. The other involves throwing tomahawks down onto enemies from a great height. This achievement will require a lot of trial and error so be prepared to spend a few minutes with various trial and error attempts.

If you don't want to do this with someone else, head to Pike's Basin, start the hideout and allow yourself to die. You will now start at the very top of the canyon, instead of heading down, head to the far right of the canyon where you will find the furthest most objective. Stand up on the ridge and pick a target. You're now going to want to aim about an inch above the targets head. Throw a Tomahawk, then move your crosshair up if you miss. Keep doing this until you hit the enemy below.

Attempting this on flat ground can be quite tricky and require a lot of trial and error. With the Pike's Basin method you will already be well above your enemy and have a good 100 yards or so, you just need to hit the enemy.

  • Complete all Tomahawk challenges in Single Player.

Before you can start these challenges you need to head to the Manzanita Post, you can buy the 20 Tomahawks for $10 each. Once you have the Tomahawk you can proceed to complete the following challenges:

    Tomahawk Mastery Rank 2
Kill one enemy with the tomahawk used as a throwing weapon, one as a melee weapon, and one from horseback.

You can do these three just about anywhere that you encounter enemies. Animal enemies do not count towards the criteria, but you can head to any hideout and complete these in a matter of minutes.

The melee attack doesn't haven't to be done on an enemy, it seems to count if you equip a bandana and kill any of the none hostile characters around town. Head to Thieves' Landing and take out any of people walking around. Just walk up to the person you want to kill, stand close and use the tomahawk as if you were to throw it, instead you will kill the person you're facing by hitting them with the Tomahawk instead.

With the next two, which involve throwing the tomahawk, head to Pike's Basin, use dead eye and carefully pick off one of the guys hiding behind the rocks at the start. Once you complete that part of the challenge, jump on your horse and do the same.

Just remember, using deadeye may help you aim, but once you throw the enemy may duck down or move. So aim carefully.

    Tomahawk Mastery Rank 3
Kill a flying bird with a tomahawk without using deadeye.

This sounds fairly difficult, but it is fairly simple and easy to do. Head to any of the hideouts, I decided to stick with Twin Rocks as it's small and quick. Kill everyone and complete the hideout, once you complete the hideout get onto the roof of the house. You will now have several vultures flying above you, these are one of the larger birds in the game so they are easy to hit without a struggle. Load up on tomahawks and just carefully aim and throw.

    Tomahawk Mastery Rank 4
Kill 5 enemies in a row without missing with the tomahawk.

This is another challenge, which can easily be completed at Twin Rocks. Take out the first two guys high up on the rocks with a rifle, they are easy to miss so there is no reason to waste tomahawks on them.

You will have four guys left in front of you, then another three will exit the house once they are killed. Carefully work your way around the cover and use your deadeye and melee enemies with the tomahawk as much as possible. Doing this will allow you to score the kills without missing. You will also perform an instant kill rather than having to aim carefully with your throws.

    Tomahawk Mastery Rank 5
Complete a hideout using only tomahawks.

This final challenge can also be completed at Twin Rocks. You can repeat the same as Rank 4, but make sure you aim carefully for the guys up high on the rocks. Try to get as close as you can and use deadeye as much as possible.

Just take your time and use the tomahawk's melee attack often so you don't waste how many you have.

    Alternative Method:
It seems that once you earn Rank 4 it resets the counter for the hideouts. If you complete Master Rank 4 then continue inside the house and kill the last enemy, it seems to count for the last challenge. If this doesn't work for you, it might have just been a freak glitch, but it's worth a try as you won't lose out on anything.

  • Get 25 Deadeye kills with Red.

    (14)

    See "Reeeeal Good"

  • Get 25 Dynamite kills with Pig Josh.

    (28)

Head into any multiplayer mode and then press and then to enter the outfitter. You will find Red and Pig Josh within the Red Dead Revolver menu. Once you have selected which character you want to use, proceed to a public/private freeroam or Legends and Killers playlists.

    Red:
Select Red from the Red Dead Revolver multiplayer menu then head into either a public/private freeroam or Legends & killers playlist and hunt for the deadeye refills. You can always spot deadeye refill crates as they are marked with a green marker on your mini map. Once you have Have your deadeye ready to use, either hunt other players or a friend and click the to use deadeye. Lock onto them and kill them. Repeat this until the achievement unlocks.

    Pig Josh:
Much like Red you will find Pig Josh in the same multiplayer outfitters menu. Head into a public/private freeroam or Legends playlist. Equip your dynamite located in the top left of the weapon wheel and kill 25 other people. Most games modes don't have dynamite in the levels so I suggest you do this in the free roam sections as you will start off with dynamite in your weapon wheel if you have unlocked it.

Note: To unlock the dynamite for Pig Josh or any other character, you need to reach level 15 to unlock this weapon.

DLC: Liars & Cheats (Store Link)

There are 15 achievements with a total of 100 points

  • Complete the Explosive Rifle Single Player Challenge

    There are 5 challenges to complete for the Explosive Rifle. After you've finished all 5 challenges, the achievement will unlock. The challenges are as follows;

    1. Purchase the Explosive Rifle
    The Explosive Rifle can be bought from the Gunsmith in Blackwater. It's price will be one of three options;

    • $5,000
    • $10,000
    • $15,000

The price will depend on your fame. (Honor?) The higher your fame is, the lower the price of the gun is. Being negative in fame will cause the rifle to be $15,000. Somewhere around Neutral will cause the rifle to cost $10,000. Be extremely positive, and the rifle will cost $5,000. If you happen to have very low fame, and low money, try and bring your Fame up. You can do this by wearing the Elegant suit, cheating at Poker and shooting the gun out of your opponent's hand during the duel after being caught. If you play at MacFarlane's Ranch, the buy-in is only $10. Repeat this over and over until you are at high enough Fame where you can buy the rifle at $5,000.

    2. Kill 5 Enemies while they are in cover
After you've purchased the Explosive Rifle, you'll need to kill 5 enemies while they are in cover. Traveling to the nearest hideout is the easiest way to find enemies. When an enemy is in cover, they'll be out of sight, and hiding behind something. This is when you must take your shot. Repeat 5 times, and the challenge should be complete.

    3. Kill 3 Enemies With One Shot
Killing 3 enemies with one shot may seem like an improbable task, but it is much easier than it seems. Hog-tying 3 enemies and placing them within a spot where they're all next to each other, will do the trick. Shooting your enemies from a higher point may make the job easier, but that is down to personal preference.

    4. Kill Two Wild Animals
Killing any type of wild animal will work. Vultures will spawn after you've completed a hideout, bait can attract different types of animals, and finding random spawning animals all work well. Be sure to use Dead Eye when you're trying to shoot a hard target.

    5. Kill an Enemy While Wearing the US Army Outfit
First, you'll need to have unlocked the US Army Outfit. This outfit is tied to the Redeemed achievement. For information on how to unlock it, check this thread. You can change your outfits at your nearest Bed. Change into the outfit, and kill an enemy.

  • In a full Multiplayer Poker game, beat the table when blinds are at maximum

The maximum amount of people at a Poker game is 6 people, so be sure to have 5 other people ready before you even attempt this achievement. Depending on which Poker table you play at, the buy-ins (and maximums) will be different. Playing at Macfarlane's Ranch is the cheapest buy-ins, so starting there is recommended. The Maximum blinds at Macfarlane's Ranch is 32 for Small and 64 for Big.

Now, once you have all 6 people at the table in a private poker game, you can go about getting this achievement one of three ways:

    1. Have everyone fold, every hand. This isn't really recommended as it takes longer because 6 people have to fold every hand.
    2. Have 4 people bust out and then the 2 remaining people fold every hand. This can go by really fast if you get lucky, but then again, it can also go somewhat slow. Chances are, only one or two people will bust out per hand if everyone goes all in because the game gives out at least one side pot. In order to do this, however, you will have to have 5 people go all in and then one person fold in order to ensure there are at least 2 remaining people in the game. Once everyone busts out, the game will go by faster and you won't have to worry about inviting everyone back into the game once it is completed, but it can be frustrating trying to set this up.
    3. Have 4 people quit, leaving just the host and the dealer of that hand. The host can be the dealer, so if this is the case, just have one other person stay. This is the fastest way to complete each game, but after you will have to get everybody back into the room and start it again, which can be annoying.

The easiest way is probably the third option, but there have been some reports that quitting voids the achievement, so attempt this at your own risk.

Once there are two people remaining in the game, when there is a small blind of 32 and a big blind of 64, have the remaining person who is not getting the achievement put all of his chips except one into the pot, have the next person call, and then have the person who put almost all of his chips in fold. Now, the person not getting the achievement will have to go all in every hand and the person getting the achievement will only lose a few chips maximum if he loses the hand. The reason for this is because you can only win twice the amount of chips you put in with two people in the game so the person getting the achievement has no risk of actually losing all of his chips. Keep completing hands until the person who's getting the achievement actually wins. The achievement will unlock once you stand up from your seat.

It takes a few hours to get all 6 people the achievement if everyone at the table needs/wants it. It takes about a half hour for just one person to get it, and that's just the in-game time, that's not including setting the game up.

  • In a Multiplayer Poker game, win a hand by forcing someone with a better hand to fold

This achievement can be earned while in a Private game. The amount of players does not matter. Set up a Poker game, be sure that your partner has the better hand, and have him fold. The achievement should pop up immediately afterward.

Be sure to check the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • In a Multiplayer Poker game, win a hand on the last card when you were losing prior

This achievement is luck-based, and can be earned randomly. This is best done with 2 people, as your luck chances are increased with the smallest amount of players. To increase your chances of winning the achievement, play each card until the hand is over. Be sure neither player folds out, as this will decrease your chances. Also, have communication between each player so you know who has what cards.

Check out the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • In a full Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, win without losing a single die

You will need a total of 6 people for a full Liar's Dice game. The fastest way to have everyone lose their die is to make spot-on calls. Have whoever is going for the achievement to make the Spot-on call. If the call is made correctly, everyone BUT the player going for the achievement will lose 1 die. Repeat this 5 more times, and the person will earn the achievement after everyone is beaten.

If the person going for the achievement is far along in the group, continue to make fake bets until one player before whoever is going for the achievement. At this point, everyone will need to communicate to GUARANTEE that the correct amount is on the table. (Every should call out the number of 1s they have.) Once it is correct, have the player going for the achievement make the Spot-on call. If correct, everyone will lose 1 die.

Be sure to check the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • In a single Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, successfully make a spot-on call

You can make a spot-on call by pressing . When making a spot-on call, you are saying that the last bet made by the previous player is 100% correct. If that person says that there are 4 5s on the table, (and its correct) you can make a spot-on call. If correct, everyone will lose a die. The achievement should unlock immediately after the play is pronounced correct.

This is best done in a Private match. Two players is most recommended, as the less amount of players, the less amount of die on the table. So, check out the Achievement Trading Thread for partners.

  • In a Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, win with only one die left

This achievement can be done with any amount of players, but is best done with two, as the less amount of players, the less time it will take to finish the match. So, set up a Private Liar's Dice match, and have each player lose their dice until they have one left. Have whoever is going for the achievement lose their last die, and the person will unlock the achievement after the game is over.

If you do happen to have more than 3 people going for this achievement, then using the Spot-on method will make the match move a lot faster. Check out the Achievement Trading Thread if you need boosting partners.

  • Get first place in all races in any Grand Prix

Multiple races make up one Grand Prix. The shortest Grand Prix is the Rathskellter Fork. The are only 3 races here instead of 4 in every other Grand Prix. Finish each race in first place and the achievement will unlock after the last race.

  • Finish a single race without getting shot or killed, and without shooting a bullet

During the start of any race, players won't be able to shoot/fire a bullet until 5 second after the race has started. After the first 5 seconds is up, the race will be guns-free. Be sure to NOT take out your gun. If your gun is equipped, unequip it. Finish the race, and the achievement will unlock.

This achievement can be unlocked after a Free-Roam session is started. The number of players in the race does not matter, as long as no bullets are fired at one another.

  • During a Grand Prix, finish a race in first after placing last in the previous race.

The amount of players does not matter, as long as you finish the race in last place. Come in last place, and place in first in the next race. This can be earned in a private match.

Check out the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • While on defense, do not allow the attacking team to capture any of their objectives

You can easily get this at the same time as Avatar of Death if you are boosting. Once the match starts, just let the time run out. If you are on defense, you will get the achievement at the end of the round. Then just do the same for the next round, or, if everyone got Avatar of Death, you can try to get Legion of Boom, just as long as no one captures the objectives.

Check out the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • Successfully complete either round of a Stronghold map without dying

There are two rounds to be played in the Stronghold gametype; Attackers and Defenders. Each round is 3 minutes long. As long as you do not die throughout the entire course of the match, the achievement will unlock after the match is over. This can be earned in Private matches.

Check out the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • Get a triple kill while on the attacking team in Stronghold

You'll need to act fast to attain a triple kill. The fastest method of getting one is using Dynamite. You'll need to have at least 4 people for this achievement. You can set up a Private Stronghold match and still earn the achievement. Be sure the match is 3 vs. 1 by having 3 people be in one posse and the person going for the achievement not be in a posse. Have all players stand in one spot, throw the dynamite, and the triple kill will be yours.

Check out the Achievement Trading Thread for boosting partners.

  • Attain over 9,001 points in a single Free Roam session

    (26)

Although the achievement's description says you must earn over 9,001 points, it fails to say that the points are the same thing as Experience Points. So, technically, you must earn 9,001 experience points total.

Whenever you are in a Free Roam session, you will earn experience points by doing various activities. Completing Hideouts, killing civilians or killing other players will earn you experience. Whatever method you choose, it will be a bit of a grind to earn over 9,001 points. You can check your progress by hitting up on the D-PAD.

Completing Pike's Basin (hideout) is the fastest way to earn points. By completing the hideout, you earn anywhere from 600-1500 points. How much points you earn depends on how well you complete the hideout. Killing more enemies, not dying, etc. All of these effect your points.

  • Attain over 50,000 posse points in a single Free Roam session

    (67)

Although the achievement's description says you must earn over 50,000 Posse points, it fails to say that Posse Points are the same thing as Experience Points. So, technically, you must earn 9,001 experience points.

For this achievement, you'll need to earn a total of 50,000 points as a Posse. For obvious reasons, having more members in your posse will make the achievement much easier to obtain. The more team members you have, the less points everyone must earn. Completing hideouts is the fastest way to earn points. Pike's Basin will earn you a good 1000-2000 points per run, depending on how many other people are completing it with you, whereas Twin Rocks will earn you 200-500 points. However, Twin Rocks is much faster to complete.

Distribute your team mates throughout all hideouts and the achievement will be yours in no time.

DLC: Undead Nightmare (Store Link)

There are 12 achievements with a total of 200 points

  • Have every territory saved at the same time during the Undead Nightmare.

Every town and some of the gang hideouts are now overrun by zombies, and it's your goal to have them all "cleansed" at the same time. If you get near a territory it will appear on your map with the status "Unknown". If you approach it the status will be "Overrun".

If you capture a territory for the first time all survivors (amount depends on size of the territory) will be alive. Though after a certain amount of time the territory will be overrun again and the status will change to "Under Attack". If you won't help the territory it will become "Overrun" again and survivors will start dying until none of them are left. Fort Mercer, Casa Madrugada and El Presidio are always "safe".

A territory will take about 30-72 hours (in-game) to become attacked again, so you'll have to move quick. The best way is travelling by horse as fast-travelling takes a longer in-game time. There are 13 territories in America and 9 in Mexico.

Even if a town is overrun and all survivors are dead, you can still unlock the achievement and save the towns.

  • Attain 100% Game Completion statistic in Undead Nightmare.

This achievement requires you to get 100% completion in the statistics. Here is a list for 100% completion:

    • Save all 16 survivors (Lost Souls), at El Presidio (6) and at Fort Mercer (10).
    • Complete all 4 challenges, see below.
    • Obtain every outfit, this will come over time as you complete challenges.
    • Break the Unicorn, see below.

    • Have every territory saved once.
    • Clear out all graveyards once, which will come as you complete story missions.
  • Attain Rank 5 in all Undead Nightmare Challenges.

There are 4 Undead Nightmare challenges:

    • Undead Sharpshooter
    • Undead Hunter

    • Undead Treasure Hunter

    The location of the horses:

    • Pestilence is found somewhere in between Tall Trees, Manzinita Post, and Aurora Basin.
    • War is located somewhere between Benedict Point, Tumbleweed and Gaptooth Breach.
    • Famine is located somewhere between Chuparosa and Tesoro Azul.
    • Death is given to the player after completing the main story, though may also be found in Mexico.

    Undead Hunter:

    • To kill bears, wolfs and cougars with a torch, take the horse Pestilence as it can't die. Cougars are often found west of Torquemada and in Tall Trees, bears can be found in Tall Trees and wolfs can be found pretty much everywhere.

    Undead Sharpshooter:

    • Rank 3: Equip Phosphorus bullets and make 5 headshots.
    • Rank 4: Go to El Presidio, as 2 of each spawn there.
    • Rank 5: Best way is to go to El Presidio, and execute (move close and press without aiming) the zombies.

    3. South east of Armadillo.
    4. At the south-western edge of New Austin.
    5. South-east of Las Hermanes.
    6. West of Casa Madrugada.

  • Make it to wave 15 in Undead Overrun Gametype in Multiplayer.

    (51)

Undead Overrun is a multiplayer mode in which hordes of zombies will keep attacking the player until the player dies, with a maximum party of 4. Each wave has a time limit which may be extended by opening a coffin, which will also give ammo. Any player can heal another player if he/she is down.

    Here are some tips:

    • Keep Moving: Don't seek cover.
    • Aim for the Heads: Ammo is rare, and headshots are an instant kill.
    • Team-Up: If you split up it will only get harder, stay close, save your ammo and try to execute if possible.
    • Play with 4 players: Obviously makes it easier, doing it with 2 is hard, 3 is doable and 4 is rather easy.
    • You only have to complete Wave 14, if you die or the time runs out there, the achievement will still unlock.
  • Fight off 8 unique players during your time on top during Land Grab in Multiplayer Free Roam.

Landgrab is a game mode which can be started from Free Roam which every player (also those without Undead Nightmare) can play, though only a player with the Undead Nightmare pack can start a game. The game is free-for-all and you have to hold a certain location such as Armadillo. The longer you keep enemy players out, the more points you will gain.

This achievement can be boosted by joining a private free roam with 9 players and starting a Land Grab game. For finding other players, please see the Achievement Trading Thread.

If it does not appear, fast travel to Cochinay and fast travel back to Torquemada so it will spawn. Some players have reported it to only appear after completing all challenges, though this is yet unconfirmed.

The Unicorn is a Hungarian Half-Bred with rainbows and butterflies, and obviously a horn on its forehead.

  • Find and kill a chupacabra.

Undead Hunter challenge 5 requires you to kill it, so that means you have to get to Undead Hunter level 5 before you can kill it. It is a rather small, black hound-like creature which will be marked on your map. 2 shots in the head will kill it.
