Introduction
Remember Me seems to mix several ideas together yet still pulls off an original feeling. It''s very futuristic and it's combat is based off of a type of "free flow" combat. You get to customize the combos to a certain degree. The levels are very linear. There is also a fair amount of climbing and acrobatics you will have to perform. The difficulties stack, so you can start on the hardest which isn't all too difficult. You must be weary about the checkpoint system. Anything you do (collectibles, kills) will not be saved unless you hit a checkpoint. There are well over a hundred collectibles to get, giving you history, XP, and boosts to your health and focus gauges. Make sure you follow a collectible guide to gain them all. If not, no worries, as there is a chapter select feature you can utilize to mop up. You will not have a game completion with just the first playthrough. You will have to finish some things off (like 400 kills) to gain everything.
Step 1: Playthrough on Hardest Difficulty
Start on the hardest difficulty. It shouldn't give you too many issues in most cases, but there will be some very frustrating moments. The game's camera angle will join the forces of your enemies to make your life miserable. Just keep trying and you will eventually succeed. While the checkpoint system is horrible at saving your collectibles and kill progress, it does however help by the frequency in which you gain them (for the most part). Read through the guide to make sure you know what you're doing. There are a lot of achievements that won't just come along as you play. Also, follow the collectible guide. Do not save it for a second playthrough so that you can "enjoy" the first one. The collectibles will gain you more health, more focus, and more experience points for your combos.
Step 2: Chapter Select (Post Story Completion)
You may or may not have very many achievements left, depending on how easily you gave up. You can now finish these and even lower the difficulty while you're at it. Pick the Episode you want to replay and go through it. Just remember to get to a checkpoint to save your progress.
Conclusion
Being as linear and short as the game is, they sure did pack a lot of achievements in that make you really have to focus on what you're doing. The chapter select does help take away a little bit of stress, especially since you can put it back on an easier difficulty after completing it the first time.
