Overview:
Soccer meets driving once again in the award-winning, physics-based multiplayer-focused sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars! Choose a variety of high-flying vehicles equipped with huge rocket boosters to score amazing aerial goals and pull off incredible, game-changing saves!

Playthrough Roadmap:
Most of the achievements can be earned in 1v1 matches with no bots, and a match can take as little as one second to finish. To do this, when playing an Exhibition match, select any Arena, any Team Size and make sure that there are no bots in the match. Now select "Mutator Settings" and change "Max Score" to "1 Goal". Select Create Match and now the match will end after scoring one Goal. Once you are in the game, drive towards the ball and score a goal to end the match. Using this method you will unlock: "Friendly," "First Timer," "Singles Club," "Double Up," "Triple-Threat," "All Fours," "Pick-Me Up," "Winner," "Clean Sheet," "Hot Shot," "Part Two," "Pitch Veteran," "Helen's Pride," "Still a Show-Off," "Speed Demon," "Drops in the Bucket," "Super Victorious," "SARPBC Forever," "The Streak," "Sky High," "Battle-Car Collector," and "Stocked."

Complete all 3 Practice Drills to unlock: "Know the Drill" and "Drill Sergeant." Finish a Season to completion and win the Championship to unlock: "Perfect Start," "Rocketeer," "Team Player," and "Champion." Play an online match with a friend and beat the Armadillo while playing as the HogSticker or vise-versa to unlock: "Barras Bravas" and "Battle of Heroes."

Using two-controllers or in an online match, win a tied game or game your trail in the final 60-seconds, score by hitting your opponent into the ball and make 20-saves to unlock: "Minute to Win It," "Break Shot," and "Rider's Block." Customize every slot of your vehicle to unlock: "Tinkerer" and "Grease Monkey."

Once you have unlocked the following items: Accelerato Boost, Mohawk, Shark Fin and Heart decal. Begin a match using them to unlock: "Throwback," "Psycho-Master Exploder," "Nice Hat," "Survival of the Fittest," and "Heartbreaker."

Finally mop-up your final Achievements by watching a replay, driving on the arena walls for 5-minutes, boosting for minutes and play in every arena to unlock: "Feather in your Recap," "Wall-crawler," "Turbocharger," "Traveler," and "Far, Far Away..."

Neo Tokyo DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
For the first two achievements, you’ll be loading up exhibition matches in Snow day with no bots and mutator for one goal to win. The first time you load in, choose a color - either Orange or Blue - then when the game starts, hit the ball from the starting point for a goal and you should get "Icing the Cake." Now load up another game making sure you’re the opposite color; score a goal and you should get "Left Wing, Right Wing." Next, set up a 1v1 game with no bots and one goal to win in the Soccer playlist; play three games in three different "Rocket Labs Arenas" to unlock "Mad Scientist." Next up is to load up an exhibition match in “Hoops,” no bots, and five minute match length. Once the match starts, wait for the ball to settle then hit it in the hoop/goal. After you reset, line up and hit the ball in again for another hoop/goal; you shouldn’t have much of a problem doing this within a minute to unlock "Fast Break." Now either grab a friend or a second controller to play against and load up a game of “Hoops” with five-minute length, one goal to win. When the game starts, just sit and wait till there are thirty seconds left and the one going for the achievement scores a goal to unlock "Buzzer Beater."

These next achievements will require some luck and time. While playing in an online game (cannot be private matches or exhibition) you’ll get rewards at the end of matches, win or lose. If you end up getting a “painted” item at the end of the match, you’ll unlock "Budding Artist." In your continuing playing of online games you’ll eventually get a “Certified” item drop. Once you get that equip it and play in online games, you’ll be required to do certain acts to level it up (goals, saves, assists, backwards goals, etc.). Depending on the required task you’ll need to perform either ten to fifty of these to level up the “Certified” item once to unlock "One Better." Keep leveling up that “Certified” item about three times and you should reach “Veteran” status to unlock "Certifiable."

Dropshot DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Introducing Dropshot! A brand new game type that consists of damaging and breaking tiles by bouncing the ball in the “other zone.” One hit will damage a tile, lighting it up, and a second hit on the same tile will break it, leaving an open void for the ball to fall in if you aim it right. The more tiles you break in the opponent’s side of the arena, the more opportunity you have to score. Damage more tiles with an electro-ball, which is triggered by hitting the ball twice before it touches the ground. All achievements can be done in exhibition with one controller and no bots.

AquaDome DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The AquaDome DLC update brings a new mode, rumble, as well as the underwater themed "Aquadome" field. Start up the new game mode against a second controller, or a bot on rookie difficulty, and set the timer to unlimited. Now you just have to wait until you are given all the power ups to get the "Infinite Power!" achievement. Make sure to use the "freezer" power up to stop an opponents shot to get "Stopped Cold."

Next, equip the bubbles rocket boost and head to the new field. Here you can get the "Get up, Mr. Bubbles!" and "Sea Turtle" achievements. The remaining achievements require you to attain in game stat accomplishments. They are not too hard and can be completed in a private match with an extra controller.

Anniversary DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Most of this list is just grinding and hoping for item drops. Note that several of these achievements can go a lot quicker if you find people willing to trade with you. For example, if you don’t have a Very Rare item, you can find someone who does and see if they will trade it for you until you get the achievement and then trade it back to them. Same thing goes for the trading in of five items. If someone is willing to trade you five uncommons, you can trade their items in and then give them back the rare item you get for it.

Progression Update DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:

Welcome to the Progression Update where players can now create or join clubs and surpass the realm of Rocketeer. Experience now continues all the way up to the daunting level of 300. Luckily there is no achievement requirement for that. This DLC is best done with a second controller or boosting buddy. Should take no longer than an hour.

  • Score an Aerial Goal

To score an aerial goal, you must press  to get your vehicle in the air, followed by pressing  to boost your car into the ball and into the goal.

A good method is to first change the mutator for boost amount to unlimited before entering your match. You need to essentially turn your car into a rocket with the boost.

You know you scored an aerial goal because you will get bonus XP for an aerial hit.

The two special vehicles, the Gears of War Armadillo and the Halo HogSticker are earned by winning a Championship and winning a match with each vehicle respectively.

  • Drive a total of 50 km

Simply drive 50km. Cumulative over all game modes, but if you are looking to get this quicker, it is best to start an unlimited time Exhibition match and drive until the Achievement unlocks.

If you want to earn this easier you can use rubber bands on your controller to hold down the accelerator and steering so your car just drives in circles until the Achievement unlock. Make sure you have your controller plugged into your console with a USB Cable so the controller does not die or shut itself off.

The achievement seems to be glitched. If you are tracking the achievement in the Xbox One Achievement App, the percentage does not always go up after each game. The achievement is unlockable, but glitchy.

  • Collect 200 Items

Items to collect include Vehicle Bodies, Decals, Paints, Wheels, Rocket Trails, Toppers, and Antennas. Using the Mutator Settings mentioned in the Roadmap, you will unlock a new item after every game you play.

DLC: Neo Tokyo

There are 8 achievements with a total of 200 points

  • Play a complete match in 3 different Rocket Labs Arenas

The quickest way to obtain this achievement is to load up exhibition games by yourself. Select the Soccer mode in a 1v1 game, no bots, and one goal to win the game. Play in either of the Rocket Labs Arenas (Underpass, Utopia Retro, Double Goal, Cosmic, or Pillars). You'll only need to play in three of these for the achievement, but don't play in the same one twice. Then just score a goal once the match starts to win. When the game is over, exit to main menu to change the arena and after the third win you should unlock the achievement.

  • In Snow Day, score a goal from your own side of the ice

For this you’re going to want to set and load up an exhibition with no bots in Snow Day. When the match starts, just hit the ball from the starting point, which should make it in the goal and you’ll unlock the achievement.

  • Win a Snow Day match with both the Blue and Orange teams

Again, you’ll want to load up a Snow Day exhibition game with no bots, but set the mutator for one goal to win. Choose either the Orange or Blue team, and hit the ball from the starting point to score the goal. Then just load up another game, but make sure you choose the opposite team you were before and score a goal, thus unlocking the achievement.

  • Score at least 2 Dunks in the first minute of a Hoops game

The description says “Dunks,” but that just means score a goal/point. Go ahead and load up an exhibition match in the Hoops mode with no bots and five-minute match length. When the match starts, wait for the ball to settle, line yourself up with the hoop, and hit it into the goal/net. When the ball resets, line yourself up again and do the same thing and this should unlock the achievement.

If you’re having some trouble with this, you can try using the “Low Gravity” setting in the mutators as that should help a bit.

  • With 30 seconds left, win a game of Hoops in which you were tied or trailing

For this achievement, you’ll have to have a second controller or another person to help you out. Go ahead and create a party with either a second account or with another person. Set up a “Hoops” game with a game time of five-minutes and one goal to win the game. Once the game starts, just sit and wait till thirty seconds are left. At this point, go ahead and score a goal once under the thirty seconds to win the game (the person going for the achievement).

  • Collect a Painted Item

This achievement is going to require some luck. You can only unlock a painted item at the end of an online match as a reward; this can't be acquired in private matches or exhibition matches. You could get this in two matches or you could get it in a hundred matches...it's completely random.

Painted items have an attribute that recolors an existing item. Wheels and Toppers seem to be the items that be acquired as “painted” items. Below is an example of a painted item; you'll notice it'll list the color and say "painted" in the description.

Alternatively, if you know someone that has a painted item, there is now item trading feature in the game. Just have them trade the item to you and once equipping the item this achievement should unlock.

  • Increase the level of a Certified Item

This is another luck-based achievement. You'll want to play online games (regular or competitive) in hopes to get a "Certified" item drop at the end of a match. The “Certified” attribute makes that item track a specific stat while it is equipped in online matches. As you earn more stats with your item it will level up.

Once you equip the item, start playing more online matches and as you play the item will track your stats (goals, saves, assists) and over time will level up the item. Aim to complete the task that will level up your certified item and you will eventually level it up and unlock the achievement. Depending on the specific stat that is tracked you could need to get anywhere from ten to fifty of those tasks. When an item levels up, the achievement tracker will go up 33% each time.

  • Earn Veteran status for your Certified Item

To get your Certified item to “Veteran” status, you’re going to need to level up that item three times. All the tasks for these items need to be completed in online public matches, either ranked or unranked. Some of these will need to earn legitimately, while others like goals, saves, clear balls, and backwards goals could be earned if you try and match with a friend in a 1v1 match in a fairly empty region/server.

The easier the task, the more that are going to need to be completed to fully reach Veteran status. If you go into your garage you can view your progress on that item. If you feel like you have a certified item that is just too impossible to reach Veteran, then just keep grinding out matches to hopefully get a better item.

Alternatively, if you know someone with a Certified item they can just trade it to you now. Once traded just meet the requirements for that item to work your way to leveling it up.

This list will show each of the possible certified items requirements you can get and the number required for each "tier."

DLC: AquaDome

There are 7 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • GG

    25

Win the MVP award in a game that goes to overtime

Start an Exhibition match of 2v2 against no bots. Wait until the time expires and score a goal in overtime.

NOTE: This will not work if you have the game set to to 1v1.

  • Score a Goal, Save a shot, and Assist a teammate in a single game

Start an Exhibition match of 2v2 with a friend or second controller against no bots. Score a goal. Hit the ball and then score with the second controller. Then switch teams with the second controller and hit the ball towards the goal and "save" it with the first controller.

  • Activate every power-up in Rocket League Rumble

Start an Exhibition match of 1v1 rumble (against a friend or second controller). Power ups are awarded every ten seconds. Simply use each one as you earn it until you have used all eleven:

    • Disruptor
    • Magnetiser
    • Freezer
    • Spike
    • The Boot
    • Swapper
    • Tornado
    • Grappling Hook
    • Power Hitter
    • Haymaker
    • Plunger

Some power ups require you to be next to an opponent to activate.

  • Freeze an opponent's shot before it can score

Start an exhibition match of 1v1 rumble (with a friend or second controller). Wait until you have the freezer power up. Now use the second controller to hit the ball towards your net and "freeze" it with your first controller before it goes in.

  • Head to AquaDome and score a goal while flipped on your back

Start an Exhibition match of 1v1 with no bots. From the start just line up your car so its a straight shot into the goal. Drive towards the ball and flip onto your back before you hit it. If you hit it straight in it will count as a turtle goal.

  • Equip the Bubbles Rocket Trail and Score an Aerial goal, while playing in AquaDome

Make sure you have the bubbles rocket trail equipped. Start an Exhibition match of 1v1 with a friend or second controller. Hit the ball into the air by any means (most easily done off a wall) and hit it again while its in the air. If you hit it while high enough it will count as an aerial hit. Now without touching the ball again with your first controller, use the second controller to score on its own net. This will award the first controller the aerial goal.

This can also be done solo by switching teams after you get your aerial hit.

  • Make 535 Shots on Goal

This will come naturally over time and is pretty self explanatory. To speed up the process, start an Exhibition match of 1v1 against no bots and just keep hitting the ball into the net off kickoff. You will get one shot on goal each time.

Note: It seems as if you can only get up to 2 shots on goal to count per kickoff.

DLC: Dropshot

There are 6 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Head to 'Arena Preferences' and use all of your votes

From the main menu select PLAY ONLINE, and then FIND MATCH. When a menu appears on the right side of the screen, hit  for arena preferences. From here, I believe you will have four Likes and two Dislikes available. To Like a map, simply press  on it. To Dislike a map, press  twice. And to clear your vote, press  three times (once after Dislike).

  • Equip the Halo Topper and win a match on Starbase ARC

Once you have the Halo topper unlocked, head to the garage and equip it to a vehicle.

Now head to Exhibition and select the Starbase Arc arena, team size 1v1, no bots, and in mutator settings make the max score 1 goal. Now just score on the empty net.

  • Complete a match on wasted land, under the sea, and in outer space

Head to exhibition, set the team size to 1v1, no bots, and in mutator settings make the max score 1 goal. Now play a game and score on the empty net in each of these maps: Wasteland, Aquadome, and Starbase Arc.

  • Win a Dropshot match via shutout

In an exhibition match, set the game mode to Dropshot. Now set the team size to 1v1, no bots and in the mutator settings set the max score to 1 goal. Now simply break a few tiles and score.

  • Score a total of 18 Goals in Dropshot

In an exhibition match, set the game mode to Dropshot. Now set the team size to 1v1, no bots, and in the mutator settings make sure the max score and max length are both set to unlimited. Once in the game, break tiles and score 18 times.

The quickest way to do this, I find, is to hit the ball rather gently so that it bounces lightly on the same tile. Then you can just nudge it in.

This does not need to be achieved in a single match.

  • Damage a total of 320 panels in Dropshot

In an exhibition match, set the game mode to Dropshot. Now set the team size to 1v1, no bots, and in the mutator settings make sure the max score and max length are both set to unlimited. Once in the game, damage tiles by hitting the ball in the opponent’s territory. You get damage for lighting up a tile and for breaking a tile. You can cause more damage with an electro-ball, which can be achieved by hitting the ball twice before it hits the ground. So you can juggle the ball as you like, but putting it up the wall and getting a wall-ride hit should also trigger electro-ball.

You can keep track of damage by holding .

DLC: Anniversary Update

There are 6 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Equip a Very Rare Item and complete a game in an Arena with turbulent weather

Very Rare items will be viewable from the Manage Inventory section. You can use the filter to find them or just look for items labeled with a purple font. There are several ways to get a very rare. They can fall as a random drop after an online game, you can get them by opening a crate or you can trade in five rare items for one.

Once you have one and it is equipped, head into exhibition and make sure the arena you choose says STORMY. Now play a game. You can set the goal limit to one in mutator settings to end it quick.

  • Head to Celebration Field and complete an Online game

It's actually called Champion’s Field. This must be done online, so you’ll have to keep playing until you play that arena. To heighten your chances, go to Play Now and press for voting preferences and vote a thumbs up for Champion’s Field.

  • Trade and receive one or more items with another player in a single transaction

By playing online you have a chance to unlock uncommon items, rare items, very rare items and crates. Some events grant you limited items as well. When in a party with another player, select their player icon at the menu and invite to trade. Each player must add one or more items in the box. Hit start to complete the transaction.

  • Trade In five items of the same quality to receive an item of the next-highest quality

If you’re just starting Rocket League, most of your item drops will be common and premium items. These are untradeable. Less common (anywhere from every 5-10 matches) are drops of higher value. Each item sits in a rarity category. They go:

    • Uncommon
    • Rare
    • Very Rare
    • Import
    • Exotic

You’re most likely to get five uncommon items before the rest. At the manage inventory menu, you will be able to click on an item and it’ll let you trade in five items of the same value. This will unlock you a random item of the next value.

    Good luck.

  • Complete all placement matches in any Competitive Playlist

Every season of Rocket League prompts a rank reset. In competitive you must play ten matches in any one game type to be awarded a season ranking.

  • Score or Assist a combined 30 goals or assists in Casual or Competitive Online matches

There’s no easy way around this one since it requires you to play public Online. It will have to come to you naturally. You can follow your progress for total goals and assists at the menu.

DLC: Progression Update

There are 6 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Create or Join a Rocket League Club

At the main menu select Play, and then Create Club. Once you accept, ding, achievement unlocked.

  • Play and complete an Online match with one or more Clubmates

To invite someone to your club, make sure they are in your in-game party, and then on their gamertag icon where you would normally click to trade, hit the new prompt of Invite to Club. You cannot already be part of a club if you want to join a new one.

THIS CAN BE DONE WITH A SECOND CONTROLLER ON SPLITSCREEN.

Once you have your partner ready, simply search for a match and complete it. The quickest way, I found, is to create a tournament with the mutator settings set to 1 goal. Once your match begins, let the opponent score and the game is over. This is also the quickest method for the achievement "People Person" (since you can no longer forfeit an online match until 90 seconds has gone by).

  • Join and complete an Online Tournament match

In the Play Now menu select Tournament. You can see a listing of tournaments, they occur every five minutes. Join any one and complete a match. Or simply start your own tournament using the method provided in "Together is Better".

  • Play and complete 10 Online matches with one or more Clubmates

    See "Together is Better".

  • Score a Goal while in a Club Match (Online Matchmaking only)

This cannot be done in tournament mode. The easiest method is to have a second controller (or a partner) and join casual doubles matches. In order for this to work, both teams must be in a club. You can tell if the opposing team is in a club by their club tag in front of their gamertags on the scoreboard. If you don’t match up against a club team, just exit to main menu and search again.

  • Earn the MVP award in any Online Tournament match

Use a second controller or find a partner to join your club. Then create a tournament following the format seen in "Together is Better". MVP is awarded to the highest scoring player on the winning team. Do your best to score a goal. I got mine this way while my second controller was idle. I happened to match up against bad players.

If this proves difficult you can always start a session or find a friend with a second controller and their own club and find each other in a private tournament.
