Introduction:
“POWGI’s unique word search puzzle returns - and now it’s even bigger! There’s no grid, no word list and no wrong letters, just 60 intertwined words for you to paint while you create blended colour art.” - xbox.com

Sixty Words by POWGI is the latest puzzle game from Lightwood Games. This is a fun word search game with each puzzle having its own theme. It is played just like traditional word search games, but a word list is not provided for you, so finding correct words will be trial and error. Also, unlike the traditional game, all the letters are used; none are leftover.

There are a total of 60 puzzles with 60 words in each (hence the title of the game). To earn the full 1000gs.png, you need complete only five puzzles fully, but also need to complete a variety of requirements for other achievements, such as completing a puzzle using only one color, completing a puzzle by highlighting all words backwards, not looking at the word list, and resetting a completed puzzle. These can be completed in five simple steps shown below if you choose to follow the guide, and for your convenience, the guide contains all the solutions and images you need to make this game a quick completion.

Note that the following steps can be done in any order. If you deviate, achievement will unlock differently than how they are listed below.

Step 1 - Edit the palette:
This is a simple one; start a puzzle, press button-menu.png then select ‘Custom Palette’. From there, adjust the sliders on all 10 colors which will unlock Chromomania (25G).

Step 2 - Completing ‘Well Red’:
This is where you are going to unlock the bulk of the random achievements. These are all going to be earned by completing one puzzle, ‘Well Red’.

  1. Select the puzzle then press button-menu.png then select ‘Custom Palette’. Make sure that only one color is selected (so only one color has a number). Go back to the puzzle then hold button-x.png for 5 seconds to unlock The Whole Picture (10G).
  2. Next, using just one color, find just the diagonal words in the puzzle for Sniffing Around (100G). This puzzle has 27 of them.
  3. Continue finding words (with one color) until you have just one word left, then press button-y.png to unlock There's a Word List! (30G).
  4. Press button-menu.png and return to the menu/puzzle select screen.
  5. Reselect the puzzle then complete the last word, making sure you highlight it backwards and is the same color as all the other words. This will unlock:
  6. Return to the menu/puzzle select screen then reselect the puzzle to unlock My Masterpiece (10G).
  7. Press button-menu.png then ‘Reset’ to unlock I Have a Better Idea (10G).
Step 3 - Complete remaining four puzzles:
Then there are four more puzzles you need to complete for achievements. These can be done frontwards or backwards, but make sure you use 10 different colors for at least one of them for Chromophilia (10G).
 Step 4 - Time Challenge:
There is one achievement that requires you to complete a puzzle in an allotted time. Since all the puzzles have 60 words, there really is no one puzzle that’s easier than the other. For this, I used ‘Just Be Cuss’ because it had a good amount of horizontal and vertical words that were easy to locate. You can select any puzzle you like, but be prepared to complete it a few times as you learn where the words are. When you are finally successful, you will unlock Chasing Your Tail (100G).

Step 5 - Find a specific word three times:
The remaining 12 achievements are for finding a specific word in three different puzzles. You may have already found a few by fully completing the five puzzles, but if you reset a completed puzzle that contained a required word, you need to find that word again. The menu positions (page, column, puzzle number) for each of these puzzles are provided in each achievement. Once you have found the three words, the corresponding achievement will unlock.

Note that there may be more than one of these words in one puzzle. The screenshots below only show the word for that specific achievement.
 Conclusion:
Sixty Words by POWGI follows the tradition of other POWGI games as being a relatively simple completion. You need some thought and puzzle-solving skills if you choose not use this guide, but all-in-all it isn’t really that difficult. Of course, if you do choose to use this guide, it will be an effortless 1000gs.png. Congratulations!

Sixty Words by POWGI Achievement Guide

Show completed achievements
Show secret achievements

There are 30 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Complete your first puzzle

Completing one of the five puzzles that has an achievement will unlock this as well.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Highlight a word backwards

Choose any puzzle then find any word, whether it’s vertical, horizontal or diagonal. Highlight the last letter of the word then move the cursor over to the first letter.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Complete a puzzle while only highlighting words backwards

This isn’t difficult, but you need to be conscious of selecting your words to make sure they are all backwards; last letter to the first. The first time you do this you will earn Roll Over (10G). Just continue to do this for every word in one of the five puzzles you need to complete for achievements (or complete one for fun!). Note that if you do make a mistake, there is no way to undo what you’ve done unless you delete your save data from both your console and the cloud, so be careful and mindful. Kind of an oversight if you ask me.

Easy Method: As of writing this guide, there is a simpler way to get this achievement. All you need to do is find all but one word in a puzzle then return to the menu. Select that same puzzle and highlight the last word backwards and this will unlock.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Find all the diagonal words in a puzzle first

Before finding any horizontal or vertical words in a puzzle, locate all the diagonal words first. The number of diagonal words differs from puzzle to puzzle, but once you find them all, the achievement will unlock. An image of all the diagonal words for the puzzle ‘Well Red’ is shown below; 27 of the 60 words are diagonal.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Solve a puzzle in less than 5 minutes

This achievement will probably take a few attempts to unlock. Each time you complete the puzzle, you will learn where the words are which will allow you to complete it faster the next time. You can do this on any puzzle but it is recommended that you complete one that has an achievement because screenshots for those five completed puzzles are shown below.

Author’s Note: I used ‘Don’t Be Cuss’ because it has a good amount of horizontal and vertical words which are easier to identify than diagonal. Once those were done, the diagonal words were much easier to find.
  • Zoom out for 5 seconds

Choose any puzzle then hold button-x.png to zoom out until the achievement unlocks.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Complete a puzzle without looking at the word list

This is not a traditional word search game as you are not provided a list of words to find. Instead, every word you find is then displayed in a list. Looking at the word list is kind of useless, so do not press button-y.png at all while you complete the puzzle.

Note: There is another achievement for looking at the word list with only one word left to find. You can earn both of these in the same puzzle by finding all but one word in a puzzle, looking at the word list for There's a Word List! (30G), then returning to the menu. Select that same puzzle again then find the last word without looking at the word list and this will unlock.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Check the word list with only one word left to find

This is not a traditional word search game as you are not provided a list of words to find. Instead, every word you find is then displayed in a list. Looking at the word list is kind of useless, so do not press button-y.png at all until you have only one word left to find in the puzzle.

Note: There is another achievement for not looking at the word list at all. You can earn both of these in the same puzzle by finding all but one word in a puzzle, looking at the word list for this achievement, then returning to the menu. Select that same puzzle again then find the last word without looking at the word list and There's a Word List? (25G) will unlock.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.
  • Review a completed puzzle

Once you have identified all 60 words and completed a puzzle, from the main menu, select the puzzle again (signified with a check mark) to review the puzzle.
  • Reset a completed puzzle

Immediately after My Masterpiece (10G) unlocks, press button-menu.png and select ‘RESET’ to clear all the answers to the puzzle.
  • Complete a puzzle using only one color

Choose a puzzle, press button-menu.png then select ‘Custom Palette’. There are 10 colors along the top of the screen. Select each color so that only one of them has a number (whichever you prefer to use) and this will be the only color used in the puzzle.

If you are following the roadmap, I used the puzzle ‘Well Red’ for this. Refer to Step 2 in the roadmap for more information.

  • Complete a puzzle using 10 different colors

Choose a puzzle, press button-menu.png then select ‘Custom Palette’. There are 10 colors along the top of the screen, but all of them may not be numbered. If one or more isn’t numbered, that color won’t be used in the puzzle, so make sure that all 10 colors have a number within its circle.

If you want, you can have the colors automatically cycle through each time one is used or you can press lb.png or rb.png to change the colors manually. As long as all 10 colors are used, the achievement will unlock.

  • Edit the palette and choose 10 new colors

Choose any puzzle, press button-menu.png then select ‘Custom Palette’. There are 10 colors across the top of the screen, so select each color and adjust one of the sliders for each of them. Once you’ve adjusted the 10th palette, the achievement will unlock.

  • Complete “A Little Green”

    Page 1, Column 1, Puzzle 2
