Introduction
Welcome to the Sonic All-Stars road map! Be sure to play World Tour mode first, this will save you time in the long run. This will be a smooth ride for the most part until you have to take on the traffic challenges on expert which are merciless, and the time trials are pretty difficult too.
However with enough practice and determination everyone should be able to overcome this fun little gem.

Step 1: Complete world tour on normal/Hard
Be warned now, at the end of the tour expert mode will be unlocked. Playing on hard only to find out there is an even more difficult mode awaiting you is not the most fun experience. However chances are you'll get better at the game than you would normally. So it's up to you. Either way will be fine however I will advise normal. (Easy mode isn't an option as you won't have enough stars to unlock expert mode by the end of the tour).

Step 2: Complete world tour/Grand Prix/Time trial on expert
After having fun with the world tour mode you will have unlocked expert mode for every game mode. This is where it gets fun. Grand Prix mode will be the easiest of the 3 requiring you to simply be good at the game. World Tour mode will be a bit more difficult with certain challenges giving you trouble but apart from traffic and the odd difficult boost challenge it shouldn't be too bad. Finally Time Trial: Now the easy, normal and hard ghosts you can usually beat in one try, however for the expert ghosts it will take considerable skill and many trial and error lap runs.

Step 3: Obtain online achievements
After all that time on expert winning one race in matchmaking should seem an absolute breeze. "Newtron" requires zero skill will also be easy. "Team Sonic" however will require a little boosting for most of you. Refer to the thread https://www.xboxachievements.com/f...d.php?t=400610 for partners.

Step 4: Mop up missed achievements
You should now have most if not all achievements. More than likely you will be missing "Shadow Step" and possibly a few others. Refer to the achievements to see how you can acquire them.

Summary
Sega has stepped up the difficulty considerably for this one and you won't be beating it overnight. You'll find traffic challenges and time trials to be an experience you'll soon want to forget.
However, once you get used to the game you should find it a fun and rewarding 1000.

Merely turn All-Star when you manage to get one. You can stay at the back of the pack and wait for one but honestly I managed to get All-Stars while in second or even first place! So just play the game and you'll get this.

Won an event with a Mod equipped
Mods which can alter the way a car drives can be unlocked by playing with one character through multiple races. After each race, a level progression bar will show you how far until the next mod. To get this straight away use the metal sonic code, use any mod and win a race.
Sonic Drift

Did a 10 second Drift as Sonic
There are quite a few stages to unlock this. The one I used was Vyse's stage on lap 3 where the stage will explode and you will have an absolutely huge area to drift the plane in. The death hangar can also be a great place for this as it has crazy drifts at the beginning.
Tornado

You can do this while attempting "Sonic Drift" on the air pirates stage. Alternatively this can be done easily on panzer dragoons stage. Hold and make sure the plane is drifting and turning as slow as possible (lightly hold , don't completely let go or the drift will stop).

More luck than skill here, this should more than likely come naturally while racing the AI. However if that fails, you can attempt this with 2 controllers (which i don't advise because this really will come to you sooner or later).
Spin Dash

To get the best possible boost you must hit the just before he says the number. To help you time hitting the screen will fade then he will say three. Do this 3 times and you will go from red boost to purple to blue. Try to get a feel for the rhythm and you'll have it in about 5-10 restarts. Be sure to choose these via single race. The stages you will want to do this on are:
Car: any stage
Boat: Cup 4 Stage 2: Adder's Lair
Plane: Cup 3 Stage 1: Dream Valley.
Scud Racer

This will come naturally however if you have difficulty getting this either play a boost race on world tour or single player and you should be guaranteed this.
Blast Processing

Hit 2 opponents with a single Hot Rod Blast
Look for an opportunity when 2 racers are close together and blast away. The best time to use this is in small spaces such as panzer dragoons stage (before you hit the checkpoint there are items just before it, then you go into that small cave and tight drift way). If you have trouble getting this set up two more pads, grab a hot rod and blast them away.

On the traffic challenge on the stage panzer dragoon or the Ocean view stage you will be able to obtain a super glove in an item box. The super glove does not run out and you can go through multiple vehicles with ease and nab this achievement at the same time.

This can be a little tricky to pull off. If you have trouble with this try setting up a second controller. Grab a glove with your controller and use the second controller to grab a snowball/firework. Block and throw it back. However the same can be done with an AI. Equip the glove and watch the AI's icon. If it has a weapon then bait him into shooting you by driving directly in front/behind him.
Eyes On The Road

Hit an opponent with a weapon while looking backwards
Very easy to do. Grab a snowball or rocket and hold down the button and fire at a C class bot for an easy hit. Best pulled off on battle mode on world tour or even just setting up a second controller but you should be able to get this easily anywhere.
Cosmic Smash

Detonated the Hot Rod at the very last second
Should be very easy. Wait until the gauge on the hot rod is just at the explosion point at red. It should also start making a noise and then hit the button.
Nomad

This will be unlocked endgame. Mirror stages can only be visited when you have completed all 5 grand Prix cups and you unlock the 5 mirror cups. (Do this after you unlock expert so you don't have to play all the cups again).

This should be earned within the first hour of booting up Sonic All-Stars. Very simple to obtain just win a few world tour matches and it's yours.

You should earn this just a little before completing world tour. It won't take too long, only a few hours at best. Just complete world tour at medium, unlock expert and keep on rolling.

Now whatever mode you decided to take on first you should be able to unlock the S class license while playing through it (I unlocked mine when I had played about a quarter of the world tour and played a Grand Prix).

This one will take a while to get. I managed to obtain this when I had completed most of the world tour and most of the Grand Prix. When you unlock this you'll realize how close you are to the end. Don't give up!

The big daddy. To unlock this it will mean you must have mastered all three modes. You should have conquered world tour with those horrible traffic challenges. You should have conquered Grand Prix and came first overall on the leader board on both the normal and mirror cups. And finally you should have bested most of sumo's personal best's on time trial mode. If you have this unlocked that means you have exactly 100% and have beat everything the offline had to offer. Congratulations!

Battle mode on world tour is easy on any difficulty even expert. If you must have this straight away then by all means tackle one of the battle modes. But if you want that triple star license you have to tackle them all anyway. Welcome to the true beginning of world tour.

To defeat all the ghosts will be no easy task. Here is all I can do for you, the rest will be up to pure over the top skill. Firstly you will want to be Sonic. He is built perfect for most of these stages and as is the Sumo ghost. With Sonic you won't be at a disadvantage. To do this you want to abuse drift boost as much as possible (especially on plane sections they will never keep up) and you will want to find a shortcut that cuts time off or gives you a real good speed boost. Some secret shortcuts will actually slow you down or take longer! This gives you an edge over expert Sonic. Easy medium and hard ghosts can be beat on lap one. But expert will take what feels like forever. But on some maps they are extremely easy to beat. It will get easier with time as you will become better and better.

Two absolutely huge tips I can give you: Save the boost for an entire lap and drift to a level 1-3 boost whatever is possible just before the finish line. Unleash the boost and use the item boost, too. This will immediately give you a huge advantage against expert ghost straight away and can give you that precious 1-2 seconds that will beat him.

Secondly there seems to be a glitch for a lot of people (but not everybody!) where if you can beat the Sunshine Tour Mirror ghost with Sonic and his Standard Mod it's possible to unlock Yokozuna and soon after possibly even the triple star license! It's unknown what triggers it exactly as the amount of ghosts and stages beat vary for every person. From unlocking it and a mere 35 ghosts all the way to getting it at 150 ghosts, there's no way to find out unless you give it a shot. Doesn't hurt to try eh?

This won't be too difficult as you should have got to grips with the mechanics of the game on world tour mode. And if you're lucky enough there won't be one bot that comes second or first every race which will make it easier for you if you mess up one map.

Now if you've played the world tour on expert you'll know what to expect of these bots. They are tough, but not impossible. Use items at every opportunity, make sure you are always utilizing drift boost and make sure you always finish in the top three. You may be disappointed not coming first all the time but if you come in third and the opponent behind you on the board finishes eighth then it won't matter.

After playing single player for so long you should be ready to tackle this easily. You may get this on your first try, you may get it after ten tries but keep at it and don't give up. If you find yourself having trouble try boosting a race or even a battle arena race.

Set up 4 controllers and make sure you are signed in on the first controller. Choose the first drift stage on the first cup: the jet set stage one. Finish it and the achievement will unlock.

Select the stage Panzer dragoon. On the third lap when you transform into a boat just before you transform back into a car and end the race, a huge wave will hit you and send you flying upwards giving you time to do this twice. Follow the achievement instructions exactly and it is yours my friend.

Vyse The Legend

Beat 01:11.16 in Time Attack as Vyse in Rogue's Landing
Not too difficult. The time to beat is a little over hard ghosts time and a lot behind expert ghosts. Begin the race and drift boost to get going. Take the left path (not the lower one with crates) and when you hit flying mode, abuse the plane drift boost while hitting the boost pads. As you go through the rock and come to the car transformation zone push right stick forward and pull a stunt off before turning into a car to get a nice transform boost. Then take the boat area and launch off the platform and pull off 3-4 rolls or flips and hit the boost pads. Use the boost item you have just before transforming into a car for the final time and you should nab it.

Racing: Should be easy enough. The AI will be better no matter what you do and always catch up. However with boost drifting abuse and knowledge of the map you should be able to beat these.

Weapon battle: Very easy indeed. Simply stay behind the pack so you aren't bombarded with weapons and slowly pick off each AI one by one. Watch out for reverse shots of course and you should have this easy.

Drift challenge: Now this can be a little tricky but overall not too hard. You need to pick a character with the perfect balance. Knuckles fits this perfectly for he has superb drifting and his speed is perfect for the job. Make sure to learn where each checkpoint is as you don't want to use boost only to miss half the drift road because you couldn't control the car.

Versus battle: A very handy trick which will see you win every race with ease. Pick up weapons around the track until you earn either firework or snowball x3. Beat the very first opponent (you should have no trouble) and save the weapon. Now the next opponent will spawn. They will be invincible for roughly 3 seconds. Wait it out and unleash the attack. They won't be able to get away and it will be point black range. Use this to your advantage and go full race mode. They should fall into the red and be eliminated immediately within 10-20 seconds. Much better than driving for the whole 60 and guaranteed success.

Traffic: This is the ultimate toughie. For this I would highly advise either Sonic, Knuckles or Gum. You need a light car that can really drift with decent speed. This will be tough. The trick is to drift whenever possible as much as you can to get around cars quickly and boost away. Don't do it more than needed as you can crash and all that work can be undone in one crash and you could lose up to 6 seconds. Try to fool the blue police cars. Turn slightly left then immediately right. The car won't be quick enough to react most of the time. Watch the orange cars. They are easy to avoid but when you try dodging green and blue cars you tend to forget to watch where they moved last. Make sure to watch them. Finally and most importantly try not to miss the time bonus cars. These are absolutely vital for the last few waves. A trick I used so not to miss them is this: Check the mini map in the corner and you will see an icon for bonus time and next wave cars. Keep pausing the game as you get closer and look at the map to see where they are. I can't tell you how many times you will end up accidentally boosting past them. Even if you play like a god you NEED those time bonuses.

Finally ring races. I have no tips for these as they are so extremely easy even if you crash a few times you can pass with ease.

Position yourself behind the majority of the pack at the beginning of the stage on either the egg hangar or outrun bay. Select Knuckles for an easy drift and set opponent to C class. Enjoy.

A reckless boost is flipping a plane out of harms way just before crashing into an obstacle. For instance, on the Golden axe stage when you transform into a plane there are many pillars. Simply push right on the right stick a little before impact and it'll pop.

Can be done on any battle race on world tour. Simply pick a stage you like, set it to C class and take it slow so you just stay behind the pack but don't lose them. Be careful of any backwards shots because they will try it.

Should come naturally when using snowballs. Shoot them from as far as you can and hopefully hit the AI. You can either shoot one at a time or if you think you can hit them for sure hold and all 3 snowballs will release at once. You can even get a super pickup with 6 snowballs and hold if you want to unleash maximum carnage. For guaranteed success, pop in a second controller, choose sunshine tour, grab the snowball ability and put the second player at the end of one of the long roads.

Choose C class and try to make sure 1st, 2nd and 3rd are in a tight space such as the narrow corridors in burning rangers, the beginning of panzer dragoon, or tricky corners like the monkey ball stage when drifting towards the boat section. There are many places to obtain this.

In any World tour race event choose C class and pick up a weapon. Hit someone and don't use one after that for the entire race. Win or lost the achievement is yours.

Should be easy enough with some decent skill. Make sure to abuse drift boosts, pick a speedy character such as Vyse, Ages or whomever you feel comfy with and make sure you have a basic understanding of the stages. Hopefully luck will be with you and you won't have a super AI who comes first or second every race. For the most part the AI is balanced, but sometimes you will have that super AI who just won't leave your rear view mirror.

A little tricky to get legit. Set up a second controller and pick up items and fire at him backwards 10 times. Then fire at him another ten times for "Crack Down."
Shadow Step

World tour: Twilight engine cup: Curien mansion

Race as you normally would until you hit lap 3. Now you will notice you get a big air jump and immediately go down into the cellar and get another jump. Do one flip for each and there is 1/10 super combos done.
Now you must drive back up the stairs and do this 9 more times. What makes this annoying is the game automatically sets you on track so you will have to turn around 3 times thanks to the game holding our hand before you can get another combo off. Repeat this for about 5 minutes for the achievement.

Alternatively you can play time trial mode and go around the map 10 times pulling off stunt combos. A good stage for stunt combos would be the Jsrf stage on top of the buildings as you can pull many tricks off near the beginning. Whatever works for you.
Crack Down

Got a total of 20 hits with weapons in a Race
This can be obtained along with "Justice Shot." Use the boost method advised there or alternatively you
could pick a tight stage and choose C class. Stay just behind the pack picking up all weapons and blast away the entire time.
The King Of Speed

This shouldn't be too difficult. Just make sure you read the points table and make sure you can either surpass them with driving skills or bring them down a few rankings by mercilessly shooting them with whatever you have if you find yourself lacking in that particular race. Never give up either. Just because you have one bad race doesn't mean it's over. The AI could suddenly have 3 bad races. You never know until you try until the end.

Set up a custom game, set it to Xbox live, choose C class and any stage you want (make sure its a small stage). Now put 3 of your racers in 2nd 3rd and 4th. Have your controller complete the race and let the timer run out. Even though everyone will have a DNF the achievement will still unlock. Make sure you do this for your boosting partner and say thank you.
