Step One: Sonic Story
You only pick Sonic until you meet Silver and Shadow during Sonic Story. During each Mission there are 10 silver medals to collect - I suggest getting all the silver medals during your first playthrough of sonic story. There are also silver medals in the town. While playing the story mode, do most of the town missions. After you beat the game, if you need more rings to get the upgrades, keeping playing the last level and beating the final boss until you get enough rings. Next get S-ranks on the normal Levels.

To get S-ranks you must have a perfect run in the level, collect a lot of rings, defeat enemies and complete the level as fast as possible. Once you S-Rank all the normal levels, S-rank the boss stages. To S-rank the boss, you must beat the boss as fast as possible and collect a few rings. Some bosses might take a few tries to S-Rank. Next S-Rank all the town Missions. To S-rank town missions, you must beat the mission as fast as possible. Finally, S-Rank all the Stages on the hard difficulty. There are changes between the normal and hard levels like more enemies, more traps, and different level layouts. The same guidelines to S-rank the normal levels apply to the hard levels.

*I have noticed a weird glitch when I was playing this game as Sonic. Do not used the yellow upgrade (the one the gives you the electric shield) when playing the hard stages, because you can’t do the light dash correctly for some reason. Even if you lose it stills happens, this might save you some frustration from playing this game.

Step two: Shadow Story
First, get all the silver medals during in each mission. Get all the town missions done and collect the silver medals scattered throughout the town. You should have enough rings to purchase all upgrades for shadow before you beat his story. After you beat his story mode, start to S-rank his normal stages. After you S-Rank the normal stages, work on S-rank the boss stages, then the Town Missions and finally the Hard Stages.

Step Three: Silver Story
First, get all the silver medals during in each mission. Get all the town missions done and collect the silver medals scattered throughout the town. You should have enough rings to purchase all upgrades for Shadow before you beat his story. After you beat his story mode, start to S-rank his normal stages. After you S-Rank the normal stages, work on S-ranking the boss stages, then the Town Missions and finally the Hard Stages.

Step Four: The Last Story
The Last Story consists of one level and one boss. There are also ten medals in the one level. You will most likely need to play the level twice - once to get all the silver medals and the second time to S-rank the Level. The Boss is easy once you know how to beat him.

If you miss a silver medal when doing the story, replay the levels until you get the all silver medals. If you miss a silver medal in the town or town mission play the story to find them.

For this achievement you need to complete the hidden story. In order to unlock the hidden story you need to first finish Sonics, Shadows, and Silvers stories, and then you will be able to complete this. The hidden story only consists of one act and one boss fight.

You need to collect all silver medals in the game. This can be very time consuming, as there are many silver medals throughout the game. Sonic has 130 medals, Shadow has 120 medals, Silver has 120 medals, and there are 10 medals in the final mission. There are medals in the town areas and in act missions. Gold Medalist

When you collect all the Soleanna legendary Gold Medals...

This is basically a reiteration of Legend of Soleanna except now you also need to find all of the silver medals. So you need to S-Rank all town missions, act missions, boss fights, the final mission, and find all silver medals.
Blue Phantom

You need to buy all of Sonics skills from the shops around the town areas. Sonic has more skills than the others and you wont be able to get them in one play through normally(unless maybe you S-Rank every trial on your first try). But if you don't have enough money, your best bet is to keep re-playing the final act, as you get tons of points for that and the boss.
Ultimate Life Form

You need to buy all of Shadows skills from the shops. Shadow has a lot less skills than Sonic and as long as you get decent ranks while going through you shouldn't have to go back and replay levels.
