Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game is an arcade style beat em up tie-in to the highly anticipated Space Jam: A New Legacy movie. You can play as Lebron James, Lola B., or Bugs Bunny, each having their own unique animations, but essentially the same move sets. There isn't a whole lot of game here, but it is a fun romp for the 2ish hours and 1000 you'll get out of it!
To start, you can tackle the main game on Normal mode (Hoop Star (100G)). Completing it will unlock Hardcore mode (Baller (125G)) and Boss Rush Mode (You Aren’t the Boss of Me (125G)). You can do all of this in couch co-op if you have a friend to play with and work toward the multiplayer achievements as well (Teamwork (25G) and Passing Game (25G)) Finally, you may need to go back and mop up on a score related achievement (Point Leader (75G)), any enemy damage-related achievements (Master Juggler (75G) and Three-Pointer (50G)) and finally completing the game without continuing (Most Valuable Player (100G)).
You will need a second controller, as this game is couch co-op only for multiplayer. You can earn all of the achievements while playing in couch co-op; however, there are two that specifically require multiplayer. First, you will unlock Teamwork (25G) just for playing couch co-op. Then, you'll need to pass the ball to your co-op partner 30 times in one level for Passing Game (25G).
After completing all of the modes, it is possible that you still haven't earn 999,999 score for Point Leader (75G) or juggled an enemy five times for Master Juggler (75G) or hit three enemies with one charged ball for Three-Pointer (50G). Luckily, all of these are super easy to backtrack for. The only difficult achievement you may still need to unlock is Most Valuable Player (100G) for completing the main game without having to continue. It may take multiple tries, but do your best to recognize the boss attack patterns and enemy spawns.
Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game is a fun beat em up with a charming style thanks to it being based on the upcoming theatrical release. While it won't keep you hooked and coming back for more, what it does offer is a quick and fun experience reminiscent of the arcade machines of the past. So enjoy the nostalgia trip and your 1000!
