Playing through the storyline on Hard difficulty can be taxing, but using the walkthrough below will allow even newcomers to the Splinter Cell series to avoid too many problems. However, be prepared to spend a lot of time on the online achievements and expect problems when aiming for Gold in the challenges.

Introduction:
With the option to replay a mission that you have already completed at any point in the game, none of the achievements are really missable. However, to avoid having to play through more than once I suggest setting the difficulty to Hard first time around.

Also be aware of the "Hero" achievement. Just bear in mind that at specific parts in the story your NSA trust level is more important than keeping the JBA happy, and that by fulfilling two of the requirements to unlock the extra mission you will also gain two more achievements.

2) First of all complete the simple training missions to get to grips with the controls of the game. Then start the story mode on Hard difficulty and use the guide above every step of the way to make your task a lot easier.

3) Remember to keep your NSA trust level high and try to be as stealthy as possible throughout so that you gain "The Invisible Man" achievement during any of the missions. Also remember in the second mission (Ellsworth Assignment) to use the crowd control shotgun on at least five guards.

4) Once you have completed the main story and earned all of the Offline achievements, be prepared for the hard part. First and foremost, find a partner to get all of the necessary wins on each map and work through those using the methods described in the main walk through.

5) The next task is to boost your stats to an average of 95%. Again, use the methods outlined in the main walkthrough. Perseverance is the key here: it may seem that your stats are not increasing at all but you are having an effect, it just takes a long time to reach the requirements.

6) Finally, find two people to earn Gold medals on all of the challenges. This is the hardest part of all as it requires a good deal of skill and there is no easy way to do it. Again, if you do not manage to get Gold on a mission, persevere and the achievement will eventually be yours.

Conclusion:
Overall this game is extremely difficult to 100%. Most of the achievements are easy and just take time to earn, while others are just a matter of trial and error. If you feel that you are stuck on an achievement at any point, consult the achievement walk through as it contains everything that you need to know.

Training Completed

In solo mode, successfully complete a training course
Simply complete one of the two training missions. You will find these training missions located in the solo menu.
Mission 1
Easily done, after the running through the dark and avoiding the lights, you will come upon a white room with cameras and lasers. Just walk through them and grab the photo.Even though you directly disobey the voices in your head, a door will still appera and you have finished mission number one.
Mission 2
Also extremely easy, just follow the guard through various doors and rooms and you can even kill him. Then look for two big double doors that are white and go through. You will then come upon a white maze with two terrorists. Just go towards the left side looking for the correct path before leaving and kill the terrorists.A door will appear, climb the staircase towards your achievement.

While traveling throughout the story you must do at least two of the three things mentioned and also be trusted by the NSA above 33%.

3 Qualities of a Hero
-Save Lambart in the last mission of the game by shooting Jamie instead. You will also receive an achievement for saving Lambart.
-At the end of the third JBA headquarters mission do not blame Enrica or allow the bomb to be blown up. Pick the option that allows you to stop the bomb without blaming Enrica. She will then be shot in the head.
-Save Hisham by instead sniping the guard with the red hat in the Kinshasa Mission. You will also receive an achievement for saving Hisham's life.

After doing two of the things mentioned and having a trust level above 33% for the NSA, once you beat the game there should be a bonus mission with yet another bomb for Sam fisher to disarm. Complete this mission to receive the Hero achievement. I found it easiest to kill the guy that goes to the left of the ship then go to the side of the staircase, hold form the railing, and wait for the guy in a red suit to walk outside. Climb over the railing and hide behind something. When he goes to the side with the body then you go inside and sneak up and kill Moss. The bomb is in the same room.
The Invisible Man

I found this achievement done easiest on the first mission because of the quickness of the level. Just save your progress often and if you are detected reload your file.
Getting Technical

In solo mode, knock out 5 enemies using non-lethal gadgets

Knock out 5 enemies using non-lethal gadgets. I found this easily done in the Ellsworth Assignment. Towards the end of the mission you will find a crowd control shotgun in a tower. Just use this on 5 guards and the achievement will be yours.

Unlock every single gadget for use in Solo mode. Do this by beating each of the star-marked objectives. Don't worry if you have missed one because you can always replay the mission at any given time.

In solo mode, take out your pistol. Direct it over a light and pull the L button. If done correctly the light should flicker out. Turn off 20 lights and this achievement will unlock whilst playing. There are many many lights in the game so don't rush and try to get thisin the first level.

[HQ 2-4] Go from the low security corridor to the high security corridor through the voice-locked door. Out of this door there is a room opposite (Moss' bedroom). In here you'll find a cabinet.

[HQ 1-4] In the infirmary. Go through the locked door. Its easier on HQ 2-4 as there are less guards and no Enrica there.

Professional (Activities)
[HQ 3-4] In Moss' Office, through the surveillance room. It's in the back right corner, so sneak around the right. Do this on HQ 3 whilst getting visual evidence of the bomb.

Voice
[HQ 2-3] Follow him around and see where he speaks, then capture his voice. On HQ 2 he gets mad with a JBA guard who is hiding in the toilets. There are plenty of chances to get it here. Just save when you see him and follow him until you get the chance. If you mess up, you can reload and be better prepared.

Finger Print
[HQ 3-4] On HQ 3, after Emile puts you to the task of hacking into the email, he leaves. You can find Moss' print on the lock of the Interrogation Room.

Retina
[Post-Credits] After the credits, there is a boat level. You can go inside the boat and up a ladder to grab him. Once he is dead, scan his retina.

Enrica Villablanca

Tips online- Spy
-Do not go to the same file every single time, learn how to switch between all four of them.
-Do not go the most obvious route to the terminals such a a zipline, because you will most likely meet a drone on the other end.
-Working as a team is extremely important, learn how to take files at the same time and save each other when low on health.
-If your dying you can always go back to your base to get some syringes to heal yourself.
-Be on the lookout for orange lights, they indicate where drones are.
-If you see a drone near you and it makes a beeping noise, you have three seconds to move.
-Turn off a lot of lights and sneak around with the B button, because the Upsilon forces will not be able to track you.
-Remember to use your thermal vision and night vision. Thermal works best in rooms with thin ceiling / floors that allow you to see through.
-Do not stay in the same place for to long because sooner or later there wil be a grenade coming your way.
- If you jump on and knock somebody out stand directly over their body and wait until they stand up. When they are in the proces of standing up throw down a flashbang and move out of range.They will almost definilty punch having no clue what is around them and are in fear of being grabbed. After they are done with the punch stand behind them and now is the perfect oppurtunity to grab them and snap their necks.

Tips online- Upsilon
-Standing in corners is a good way to keep hidden whilst nothaving to worry about being killed.
-You can zoom in with your gun by pressing in the right stick and then even more by pressing up on the directional pad.
-Jumping when theres a spy near you is a good way not to get killed becuase if your in the air then they cannot grab and kill you.
-Always check the most obvious routes at the beginning of the game and each time you kill a spy so as to get a quick kill.
-Stand on a couch or table with your back over the side so that you can send drones withotu haveing to worry about your neck being snapped.
-Assign each person on your team a certain terminal to guard, unless of course all of the other spies are teaming up on just one terminal.-Use the vision provided that senses electronic waves by pressing in the right button on the directonal pad if your having trouble locating the spy that is hacking a file.
- A great way to knock out a spy is to run into him by pressing the RB button.
-A great way to locate a spy is with your detector, just walk around the room and the more it vibrates the closer you are to them.
-If your hit with a flash grenade, remember where you were and try to get your back agianst the wall.
-If your sensor is going crazy and your positive that the spy is hanging from a ledge/window waiting to pull you out and kill you, just zoom in and shoot their hands.
-You have 40 bullets to a clip.. so have some fun with that when trying to kill a spy.

Ways to increase each of the stat levels.

Spy:
Athlete- Run around a lot, Dive by pressing and holding .

Sneak- Press to crouch and sneak your way around the level. When sneaking you do not appear as a white outline on the Upsilon Forces screen.Turning off lights,neutralizing your enemy,and Securing files also helps.

Gadgets- The gadgets are the Flashbangs and Smoke grenades, Syringes, and Jammers. Using gadgets on your enemy raises this attribute.

Upsilon:
Direct Action- Kill the Spies as they take the file or when they have a full file.
Recon/Track- When the Spies move swiftly by you they appear as a white ouline on your screen, this is when you are tracking them. Using your hook to go over edges also helps.
Gadgets- Kill the spies with either drones or grenades.

TIP
Use friends to help boost you up an when it becomes tough just focus in on one type of stat.

- Patience is a virtue- If you lose try and try agian
- Find a strategy that works and stick to it.
- The bots cannot think correctly, find some ways to fool them.
