10 SECOND NINJA X is a blisteringly fast, satisfyingly difficult and surprisingly methodical sidescroller which tasks you with completing each level in ten seconds or less. No lengthy checkpoint gaps. No cluttered control scheme. No hand holding. Get that three star rating, yo! You got this. 1 star. Again. 1 star. Again. 2 stars! Again. Back to 1 star. DAMN IT. Again... 100 levels including all 40 original 10 Second Ninja levels remastered in HD. Individual leaderboards for each level. Unlockables and collectibles.
You're a little ninja tasked with destroying evil robots with either a sword or throwing star. You move up, down, left and right in order to access the robots, with switches and obstacles in the way. You complete levels and earn a star based on how fast you do it. You can earn a maximum of three stars. As you earn more stars, new levels will unlock. You will complete the main game once you've earned 120 stars, which is an average of two stars on each of the game's 60 base levels. Earning three stars on every level will bring you up to 300, at which point you will unlock all the marathon modes.
There are multiple video guides posted here to help you. I didn't make the videos, only accessed them on Youtube. Credit goes to those creators.
Level select is available, so you can just skip levels you haven't gotten 2 or 3 stars on and continue to the next level or area, providing you have enough stars. Then go back and grind those 3 stars.
An amazingly hard and frustrating game, but still fun. Even with a walkthrough showing you EXACTLY how to get 3 stars, I only got 3 stars on about half the levels and I can't fathom getting the missing stars. It's insanely fast and requires WAAAYY too much hand/eye coordination for me. Maybe you will have better luck!
