Introduction:
Welcome to my Achievement Guide & Road Map to achieving 200 on Tentacles. Special Thanks to - Press Play for creating this hardcore original game, Xbox360Achievements for hosting this guide and DeviousD for finding the level to unlock the Limbo achievement.
Be aware that you will not be able to unlock "Mr. Immortal" and "Napoleon" achievements using the easy difficulty.

Save Game Lost Issue:
Beware this game has lost saves for a few people myself included, just make sure you exit the game correctly from the main game menu by pressing the button on you phone and tapping exit rather than pressing your windows home button.

Step 1: Play Through The Story:
Work your way through the story and familiarise yourself with the levels, do not worry too much about getting all three stars before you progress to the next level.

Finish the story 1st before mopping up the challenges as your probably going to be replaying the levels quite a bit once you finish the story.

You can skip cut-scenes by pressing the button on your phone.

Step 2: Complete Each Level 3 Stars:
After playing through the story you should have picked up around a 1/3 to 1/2 or the stars, now to complete the rest.

You can use level select to replay any level you wish.

You do not have to complete all stars in one play of a level, you can replay the level and work on one star at a time.
(i.e. You can get 1st star finish the level, replay the level again and get the 2nd star, replay the level again and get the 3rd star.)

1st star = Complete the level collecting every pick-up which are orbs dotted around the level.
(Including orbs from killing enemies.)

2nd star = Complete the level without dying.
(You can take a damage and eating eyeballs gives you some health back.)

3rd star = Complete the damage or speed challenge and then complete the level.

Play it Safe

Complete a level without taking any damage
1st level - Petri Dish – Complete the level and do not hit any of the rotating saws, eat the eyeballs so they do not damage you.

You can hit the button and restart the level if you get hit.
Shell Out

Kill Mama Amygdala
13th Level - Mama Amygdala – At the end of the level you will need to kill a Turtlepoodle which is on top of the 2nd Boss Mama Amygdala, once you kill the Turtlepoodle Mama Amydala will start to move.

Get out of her way and flank her right side, she has 1 eye you need to eat to kill her and you need to do this quickly or she will go defence and a new Turtlepoodle will spawn.

Once you eat her eye it will unlock.
Slice N' Dice

Defeat Papa Cerebellum
27th level – At the end of the level you face your 4th boss Papa Cerebellum which is actually two of the 1st boss worm queen.

Stay out of her path and eat the eyes on her body on her way past there are four eyes on each of the boss's to eat.
Artful Dodger

Complete a "No Damage" challenge
1st Level – Entering Dr. Phluff – Make your way through the level, half way through you will get your 1st damage challenge.

Make you way through this section without taking damage from the rotating saws and eat the eyeballs so they do not damage you.

Once you make it to the coloured challenge arch it will unlock, ignoring the orb pick-ups will make this easier.
Eye for an Eye

Kill the King of the spleen
19th level – At the end of the level you will face your 3rd boss King of the Spleen, it has 4 big eyes you have to eat to kill him.

Dodge the incoming projectiles from his small eyes to get close then eat a few small eyes (not the whole line of small eyes, just enough to uncover a big eye) then you can eat the big eye behind.

Every time you eat a large eye he will knock you back and you will have to dodge incoming projectiles from his small eyes again.

Repeat until you have eaten all 4 his big eyes to unlock.
Slay Away

Eat 5 eyes super fast!
19th level – At the end of the level you will face your 3rd boss King of the Spleen, dodge the incoming projectiles from his small eyes to get close then eat a 5 small eyes super fast.
Eye Candy

Take over the prefrontal cortex
Level 40 - At the end of the level you face the last boss Prefrontal Cortex which is a harder version of the 3rd boss King of the Spleen, it has 4 big eyes you have to eat to kill him.

Dodge the incoming projectiles from his small eyes to get close then eat a few small eyes (not the whole line of small eyes, just enough to uncover a big eye) then you can eat the big eye behind.

Every time you eat a big eye he will knock you back and you will have to dodge incoming projectiles from his small eyes again.

Repeat until you have eaten all 4 of his big eyes to unlock.
Pickup Truck

Collect all pickups in the game

Pickups are small orbs that give you points when you collect, find all the orbs in each level on all levels to unlock.

This includes orbs from killing enemies.

*** This is a positive glitched achievement - After completing the story (all 40 levels) replaying a few levels may unlock this early without completing the requirement for the achievement listed above.

Rip out an eye
1st level - Petri Dish – When you come to first enemy eyeball, tap on eyeball to eat it.
Napoleon

Get 3 stars on all levels
You need to complete Pickup Truck, When I Say Jump and Mr. Immortal achievements to unlock, see achievement details above for more information.

The most difficult achievement due to Mr. Immortal which will take a lot of patience and skill.
Worm Eater

Defeat the Queen of the Colon
7th Level - Queen of the Colon – At the end of the level you face your 1st boss the worm queen, stay out of her way and eat the eyes on her body on her way past.

There are four eyes on the boss to eat.
Soupe a'la Turtle

Kill a Turtlepoodle
11th Level - Dr. Phluff Strikes Back - At the end of the level you will need to kill a Turtlepoodle.

The Turtlepoodle has 2 eyes you need to eat to kill it, you cannot grab his eyes from its spiked shell side you need to get behind it.

It will attack you with it spiked shell, it is quite slow so take you time.

You can tell when it is going to attack you as it raises its claws, when you see this move out the way.

Flank around it to eat his eyeballs and it will unlock.
Speed Devil

Complete a time challenge
2nd Level - Entering Dr. Phluff - Make your way through the level, half way through you will get your 1st speed challenge.

Make you way quickly through the level to the coloured challenge arch before the timer bar runs out.
The Small Escape

Escape Dr. Phluff's acid attack
9th Level - Dr. Phluff Strikes Back - Move through the level very quickly to outrun the acid that comes from behind you. Complete the level to unlock.

Take over the duodenum
Level 33 – At the end of the level you face your 5th boss the Duodenum which is harder version of the 1st boss Mama Amygdala.

The Duodenum has 3 eyes which you cannot eat until you have killed the Turtlepoodle variant, be careful when eating her eyes as she will crush you if you dont move out of the way quickly.

Kill the 1st Turtlepoodle variant and the Duodenum will lift up so you can eat one of its eyes, move to the side and eat one of its eyes.

The Duodenum will cover its remaining 2 eyes and release 2 Turtlepoodle variants, kill these and the Duodenum will lift up so you can eat one of its eyes, move to the side and eat one of its eyes.

The Duodenum will cover its remaining eye and release 3 Turtlepoodle variants, kill these and the Duodenum will lift up so you can eat its last eye, move to the side and eat its last eye to unlock.
Tentaculous

Complete the game
Finish all 40 levels to complete the game and unlock.

You have infinite lives so take your time and complete the game.

If you made it this far congratulations, now to 3 star every level.
When I Say Jump

Complete all challenges

Challenges are divided into damage challenge and speed challenge, you must finish the level for the challenge to register complete.

You will come to a coloured arch and the game will promt you that a challenge has started.

Damage challenge - You cannot take any damage until you get to the challenge coloured arch.

Speed challenge - You must make it to the challenge coloured arch before the timer bar runs out.

Mr. Immortal

Complete all levels without dying
Complete each level without dying, all 40 levels. You can take damage but do not die, your screen will flash red round the border and your eye will go dark when you are about to die from your next hit or two.
(Eating eye-balls will gain you back a small amount of health).

Take your time and memorise the levels, you may be replaying these a lot especially the last 10 levels.

Take a break if you're getting frustrated and come back later or you may throw your phone aross the room.

I would recommend playing the levels backwards, start at level 40 and work your way backwards.

If you can nail the last 10 levels without dying you will have no problems with the rest of the game.
Perfection

Make a perfect run
1st Level – Entering Dr. Phluff – Complete the level collecting every orb pick-up which includes point orb drops from killing eyeballs also without dying and completing the challenge.

Take your time and be extra careful when picking up the point orbs between the rotating saws.

The best way to pick up the point orbs between the rotating saws is to put two legs directly above the orbs and then your third leg down to the orbs which will move you in a straight line.

This will unlock if you have completed all three stars at the end of the level.
Limbo

Complete a level without collecting any pickups at all

22nd Level - Complete the level without any orb pick-ups including orb drops from killing enemies so do not eat any eyeballs.

There are no orbs until you reach the damage challenge which starts when you pass through the green coloured arch.

Use all 3 legs to grip the bottom boulder then once you pass the first set of orbs switch to the top boulder with all 3 legs. Repeat this sequence again and you will reach the end of the challenge. ()

Do not worry about taking damage from the plants you will make it through the challenge section without dying as long as you have taken no damage up to the point where the challenge starts.

Now grip the next boulder to take you over the large plant and ignore the eyeball, there is a small ledge once you pass the eyeball so grip onto this. The eyeball may kill you if it doesnt dont worry the first plant will, you need to die to respawn with enough health to get through the next section.

From the ledge grab the top boulder with all 3 legs and ride it past the first set of orbs then switch to the bottom boulder and ride it until it end. It is tricky switching correctly to the bottom boulder because if you are not low enough you will pick up some orbs and have to start the level again. ()

Now you must make it through the rest of the level without killing any ememies, you will die alot doing this but keep at it and you will reach the end of the level.

For the stepping stones section move past the eyesballs quickly, this may take a few tries.

For the bubble section take your time, the eyes are static and will not chase you. Move across the stepping stones slowly and position yourself on the very edge of the stepping stone before switching to the next one to avoid hitting the eyeballs.

Move past the spinning saws to the end of the level to unlock.
