Introduction:
Welcome to the Godfather 2. This game has 41 achievements worth a total of 1000

. This game only requires one full play through for the full 1000

. This is only if you don't miss any achievements. The three missable achievements are 750 Sleeping with the Fishes, Executions in Style and Contract Killer. To avoid missing these you will need to kill as many mobsters as possible while completing the story and when killing these mobsters you must try to perform as many executions as possible. To avoid repeating the same executions, you can go to the don's view via the start button menu and then go to executions and see which ones you must do and then try your best to do them. There have been reports that the Accept this as a Gift achievement glitches and does not unlock when you have completed all the favors. If this happens then simply repeat them all, if it still doesn't unlock then start a new game and repeat them again.

Step 1 - Prepare:
To get through this game as fast as possible, you will need to make sure you know where all of the weapons are and how to obtain them. You will also need to know how to to do the neck snap execution, which I will explain later in the guide. Once you have done this, you can go to Step 2 as everything else will be explained in-game during the tutorial.

Step 2 - Start playing:
Now that you have prepared, you can start playing. Once you've started the new game, simply play through the game as you normally would and just finish the story. While doing this you must get the three achievements mentioned above, as they can't be achieved after completing the story. If you find you still have not unlocked the achievement by the time you have eliminated four families, then make sure you do not blow up their compound. This way you can attack them and come back the next day to attack again. This will also work on their businesses, so you can use this to get those two achievements.

You must also make sure that you kill five made men with the correct kill condition. Instead of doing favors, use this guide HERE. However, if you have unfortunately missed them, you will have to start a new game and get them. As you play through the story, you can make the effort to collect the level 2 & 3 weapons as well as crack the safes in every business you take over. A list of the weapons and their locations can be found HERE. This will make Step 3 much easier. Once you have completed all missions and the story move on to Step 3.

Step 3 - Mop up:
Now you should have most of the achievements. For the achievements you have not unlocked, you can go back and get them. Use the guide to get any achievements you have not unlocked yet. After completing all of the above steps you should have your 1000

Create a mobster using MobFace.

This is the first achievement you will receive. All you have to do is create your character at the start of the game. You can either modify him now or you can just continue and modify him later via the don's view.
Getting Made

Recruit your first soldier.
Once you get back from Cuba at the beginning of the game, you will need to recruit a made man. There will be two in the opposite room - a medic & a fire expert. I would go with the medic as the fire expert is pretty much useless. To recruit them press to engage in conversation then you will find they have been added to the family tree. For all other soldiers you can do the same method, but you'll have to find them on the streets or guarding your businesses.
First Crime Ring

Control one crime ring.
The first crime ring you can take over is prostitution. Simply take over all the venues in that crime ring by going to Don's view and then going to crime rings to find the venues you need. Go there and take them over. This will come while you are completing the missions during the story.
Fortified Venue

Max out all guards at a venue.
For this achievement, all you must do is hover over the business and press . This will allow you to manage your guards. All you must do is put the max guards on the venue and press , unlocking the achievement.
It's Not Personal

Eliminate a rival family by successfully bombing their compound.

You will get this while playing through the story, after the last mission in New York. To blow up these buildings you must locate the gas pipes and then use your demolition expert to blow it up, by pressing on the pipes. Make sure to be out of the house before it blows up or you'll have to restart.
Contract Killer

Eliminate 5 made men with the appropriate kill condition.
To do this you will need to find out the kill condition for five made men. To do this you will have to go around the streets looking for people with a key above there head. Once you have located these people you must speak to them using and then twice during the conversation to accept the favour. You can then use to bring up the map and locate the favour's location, use to get the details of the favour, then head over there and do what the description tells you to do.

After completing this favour go back to the start menu and press to access the don's menu, select the opposing family and find out how to kill them and where, then head over to the target and kill him in the condition you have been told. Repeat this five times. If you do not want to do the favour use THIS GUIDE to find out how and where to kill the made men.

Let Me Upgrade You

Upgrade one of your made men's skills or weapons.
To do this you will have to press then to go into Don's View, after which select 'your family' then click on any of the made men with . Then press to go to upgrades, press to select the upgrade and purchase it, or press twice to purchase a weapon for them.
Three Crime Rings

Control three crime rings.
You will need to control three crime rings for this achievement, the fastest way to get this is to take over the diamond smuggling venues. There are three venues in total - all in Florida. Then take over the drug smuggling venues. There are four in total - two in New York and two in Florida. If you keep all of these venues and keep prostitution then you will unlock this as you take over your last venue.
Five Crime Rings

Control five crime rings.
Drug Crime Ring + Prostitution Ring + Diamond Smuggling. I recomend getting Gun Running (Basso Oil Places 4 in Florida) and Gambling ( Casinos 2 on Cuba and 2 Florida). This is only my recomendation - you may want to get others that will suit your style better.
Organized Crime

75
Control all crime rings.
You will receive this while going for the 'Last Family Standing' as when you are trying to eliminate them you will have to take over all of their venues. There are nine crime rings in total and this will unlock when you take over your ninth crime ring.
Shakedown

Control all extortable businesses.
You will have to take a total of nine businesses that give you 5% more income. Three are in New York, five are in Florida and the last business is in Cuba. A tutorial will be shown in the game, however I will explain how you take over the venue. First, you will need to travel to the venue and locate the entrance, then you will have to locate the owner somewhere inside the venue. Guards will protect the owner, so take out as many as possible out on the way to the owner.

Once you have located the owner you must make them crack (first red bar) with out pushing them over the second red bar. To do this you can grab them and slam them using to grab and then left on the into a table or wall etc, you can point your gun at them using the you can hit them with fists by just tapping to put away your weapons and then using to beat them senseless or by even smashing up the shop, get creative!
Executions In Style

Complete all execution styles.

For this achievement you must use all executions on mobsters - they can't be done on any other group (police & civilians). To do an execution, you must lower the mobster's health then approach them and click with what ever weapon, if you lower the health down enough the mobster will go to his knees and you can then execute them. When you go to execute the mobsters, you should make sure you don't have a crew because they will kill them before you can execute them. The execution most people don't know how to do is the neck snap - you must upgrade your character by going to the Don's View, then clicking on your family, then select your character and go to upgrades, once there upgrade neck snap. To use it, you must sneak up behind a mobster and push , then click to crack their neck. If you can't find a weapon or can't do an execution then go HERE.
Bag Man

Heist each bank once.
There are a total of four banks, one in New York, two in Florida and one in Cuba. To heist the bank, you must either pick the lock with a safecracker or blow a hole in the wall and then pick the safe lock inside. You have to make it back to the safehouse.
Safecracker

Crack all safes.

To crack a safe you must have a safecracker in your crew, then you must find a safe inside any of the venues available. Once you have found the safe, you can then press while looking at the safe to command your man to open the safe. After he has cracked it, a bag of cash will come out. Go to Don's View, then go to safes and find the safes you need to crack. Keep repeating until you have got the achievement.
Torch The Joint

Send your men to bomb a venue from the Don's View.

Pulling The Strings

Send your men to attack a venue from the Don's View.
To do this, you must go to the map and find an enemy venue. Once you've found one, select it with and you can then choose to send your made men to bomb the venue or to take over the venue. Make sure to send enough people or they may get put into hospital.

All you have to do is kill 750 mobsters, in any way you want. If you still have not received this achievement by the time you have eliminated the fourth family, then go to the last family's venues or compound and kill the guards, then go do something else and come back the next day and kill them all over again. Keep repeating this until you unlock it. If you go to your family, then select your character you can go across and find your statistics and your kills.
BlackHand Brutality

Kill 25 mobsters only using BlackHand attacks.
Simply use to hit mobsters and kill them using these buttons only.
Full Of Lead

10
Kill 150 mobsters only using firearms.
All you have to do is kill 150 people with firearms. Simply shoot the mobsters and eventually the achievement will unlock.
Gun Smuggler

Find a level 2 firearm upgrade.

Right Hand Man

Promote one of your made men to Capo.
Further on in the game you will be told to upgrade one of your soldiers, use the same method as you did for 'Getting Made'. You will be told how to and when to do this in game. After doing so you can select one new ability for them, choose which ever one suits you best. Keep in mind that you need people to do all jobs as soon as possible.
Second In Command

Promote one of your made men to Underboss.
Further on after promoting your second soldier you will be told to upgrade one of your men to underboss, using the same method as for 'Getting Made'. Don't worry about this one either as you will be told when to do it.
This Thing Of Ours

Recruit a full family tree.
After you recieve 'Second In Command' you will only need to recruit one more soldier and then you will unlock this achievement. Use the same process as 'Getting Made'. For this achievement, you will not be told when to recruit the soldier so you will have to do it on your own after 'Second in Command'.
Accept This As A Gift

Earn one of each favor.

There are twelve favours in total, three in Cuba, three in New York and six in Florida. To find each one, you can either search the map for a symbol of a little man, or go to Don's View then go to corrupt officials. Once you have found the favour, you are looking for go and find them, speak to the official and get the favour. Once you've done this, you do the favour and earn a favour from them. To check which ones you've done instead of clicking on corrupt officials go to collectables and see which favours your missing. This achievement is reported to be glitched for some people so to be on the safe side save your favours until you've done all twelve. If it does glitch on you, then redo all of the favours and if it still doesn't unlock then you will have to restart the game and do them all over again.
Welcome To The Gun Show

Collect all level 2 and 3 firearm upgrades.

All you have to do is find all of the firearms, the list can be found HERE you simply just have to walk up to them and it will pick them up. You will get this once you pick up the tenth weapon, which will either be the level three pistol or the level three sniper.

The Counselor

Accept Tom Hagen as your Consigliere.
You will receive this achievement while playing through the story, it will unlock the second time you're in New York while doing a mission.
CIA? DOA

Kill Henry Mitchell.
While progressing through the story, you will be told to eliminate all other families and travel to Cuba to kill Henry Mitchell. So follow your commands, locate him and kill him. This can be done before eliminating the other families or after it doesn't matter.
Double Crossed

Eliminate two rival families.

Vendetta

Eliminate three rival families.

Paying Tribute

Unlock all safehouses.
You don't need to worry about this achievement, as it will unlock as soon as you do the first mission in Cuba after arriving there.
It's Only Business

Eliminate Hyman Roth.

After eliminating all families you will have to 'take care of business' and you will get a mission were you must go to the airport, fight your way through then put a bullet in Hyman. Then, out run the police, return to your compound and you will unlock the achievement.
