Introduction:
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is the ultimate collection. It contains all four seasons of Telltale's The Walking Dead in addition to the 400 Days episode for Season 1 and all three episodes of The Walking Dead: Michonne. This game includes almost 50 hours of gameplay across 23 unique episodes. With graphical enhancements to every title, behind the scenes bonus features and faithful recreations of classic menus, this is the definitive way to experience Clementine’s journey and find out how her story ends. - from xbox.com

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Each title in this game can be described as an interactive novel, where dialogue choices you make may determine the outcome of the story. There are no right or wrong choices, but some of the dialogue choices you make will affect how certain characters react in later chapters and episodes, so choose wisely.

During the action sequences, you control your character with a simple press of a button or swipe of a thumb stick. But you have to be quick as the wrong or slow move may result in your death. Thankfully, upon respawning, the action picks up almost immediately where you left off, giving you endless opportunities.

Every achievement in this game is story related. As such, you can play through each season’s episodes at your own pace, choosing whichever choices suit your play style. There is also no need to replay a chapter because of something you missed, but of course, if you so wish, you are free to replay any chapter to select different choices to see other possible outcomes.

Season 1/400 Days:
Welcome to the first season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. This game is a type of visual novel and interaction is based on dialogue choices and quick-time events. It "tells the tale" of Lee Everett, the main protagonist who is being transported to a jail in Georgia for murder when all hell breaks loose. Along the way he'll meet a variety of characters including a little girl named Clementine. Through the course of the game, you will be required to make some difficult decisions as you are trying to survive this apocalypse with your newfound friends.

Also included is the bonus episode '400 Days'. This episode is a bridge between Season 1 and Season 2, and recounts the stories of five random survivors whose narrative is intertwined without them knowing.

Season 2:
Taking place many months after Season 1, this picks up with Clementine, now separated from her companions and on her own, encountering a new group of survivors attempting to make a better life for themselves.

After finding themselves held against their will, the group fights through many tragedies and letdowns as they try to overcome the hardship of surviving in this post-apocalyptic and often misunderstood new world.

Season 3: A New Frontier:
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier picks up three years after Season 2. You play as a new protagonist, Javier "Javi" Garcia, a sympathetic character who is just trying to survive the apocalypse as he struggles to keep his family together. Along the way you’ll meet up with Clementine, now a young teenager, alone and hardened at what she has been burdened with for the past several years. Together you will face the horrors of the undead as you fight to survive and deal with adversities, failures, and betrayal.

Michonne:
This off-shoot series tells of the events of Michonne and her time away from Rick Grimes' group for a period of time during the comic book series. It is considerably shorter than the main seasons and is a completely separate story.

While struggling with her past and contemplating her future, Michonne is thrust in the middle of two conflicting groups. After investigating a mysterious radio transmission, she encounters two siblings and is subsequently captured by an armed group of survivors and brought to their settlement. Escaping with her new companions, the group takes refuge in the sibling’s home. As she is reminded of the loss of her own family, Michonne tries to prepare everyone for the assault that is yet to come.

Season 4: The Final Season:
The final season of The Walking Dead takes place a few years after the events of A New Frontier, and puts you back in control of Clementine with a much older AJ at your side. Through the season you'll meet new friendly faces, some not so friendly ones, and even some old familiar faces, all the while trying to teach and train AJ to survive, similar to how Clementine was taught in the first season, providing a fitting and emotional end to this series. As with all other seasons in this game, all achievements are story-related and can not be missed, so make any choices you want as you play.

Conclusion:
With each season being released many times before on different platforms, this is the only release that encompasses the entire story of Clementine, from a scared little girl to a seasoned survivor. Despite the game only offering 1000, it's still a great story with interesting characters and engaging situations.

  • Complete Season 1 Episode 5

This is story related and cannot be missed.

Upon escaping the basement, the group makes their way back to the house to find that Vernon has taken the boat (there are options to this depending on what was decided at the end of Episode 4). While they are talking, the backyard starts to get overrun so the group fends them off then retreats into the attic. While everyone is barricaded in there, Clementine's voice is heard over the walkie talkie and Lee deduces that she is being held at the hotel where her parents were staying at on their trip. It is decided that it is best to travel across the rooftops to find this hotel. Finally breaking through the outer wall, the group travels across the rooftops. Along the way, Kenny is lost to an undetermined fate (depending if Ben is still with you or not).

Seeing the hotel in the distance, the only way to get across the street is to walk across a sign spanning two buildings. Making your way across, you climb to the ground and cut your way through the horde of walkers. As Lee approaches the hotel, he sees a familiar station wagon parked outside. Finally finding the room where Clementine is held, you come face to face with the kidnapper. Some choices later, Lee and Clementine finally find their way out of the hotel and get trapped in a store. After a few heart wrenching moments, the final cutscene plays and the episode ends.

Once you have completed the five individual chapters, the epilogue starts automatically with Tavia talking with someone on the walkie talkie about survivors. She decides to locate the survivors and persuade them to join a safe community. The dialogue choices you make will determine who goes with you. The achievement will unlock as the episode results are shown on screen.

Note that in previous releases, this episode had two missable achievements. In this release, the choices you make during these events have no bearing on the achievements.

Emerging, you discover an abandoned camp and are bitten by a dog. That night, you break out of the shed and stealthily enter the cabin to look for supplies to tend to your wound. Making it back to the shed, you bandage your wound just as you are attacked by a walker. Hearing the commotion and after much debate, they decide to accept you into the cabin.

The following day as you are walking in the woods with Uncle Pete and another member of the group. As you reach the river, you see some bodies lying about. Thinking that this was the work of someone named Carver, the group is cautious as they search the area. After Clementine sees someone from the ambush earlier in the episode, you are overrun by walkers. The achievement unlocks after you flee into the woods with the person you decided to save.

  • Complete Season 2 Episode 2

While they are gone, a suspicious-looking man comes to the door and starts asking questions. When he finally leaves, the group returns and you tell them what happened. Fearing it might be someone they know, they decide to abandon the cabin and seek shelter in the mountains.

Traveling for many days, you spot a ski lodge in the distance but you need to cross a bridge to get to it. You and Luke have an encounter while crossing a bridge, and when it's safe, your group joins you. That evening you make it to a ski lodge. There you meet with other survivors and are reunited with Kenny from Season 1. After dinner, while walking with Kenny and Walter outside, you see someone snooping around. Walter gives her some supplies and she leaves.

Following a serious discussion, the windmill outside the ski lodge begins to rotate faster and faster, drawing walkers towards it. As you work on disabling the windmill and kill the walkers, you hear gunshots coming from the surrounding woods. As the walkers are defeated, a group of people emerge, led by the man who you saw at the cabin earlier in the episode, who you learn is Carver. In the group is the woman Walter aided earlier.

Hiding with Rebecca and Alvin while the rest of the group is rounded up, you must decide if you will show yourself or not. After having a standoff with Kenny and Luke, you are all rounded up and start traveling to Carver’s camp.

Jane runs him off and you continue your search. Eventually you return to the main area where Rebecca's screams have attracted walkers. You retreat to the Observation Deck where Kenny helps deliver the baby.

After a while, the group decides that it's best to head to a town across the river for a more stable environment before making a decision to travel on. Along the road, you run into Arvo and his group, and after an exchange, there is a standoff. Clem then looks to Rebecca and notices that she has turned, so she must decide to either shoot her or call for help, thus ending this episode.

Following the gunfight and saving the baby, Arvo tells the group that there is a house full of supplies. With their sights set on this new destination, the group continues on. Along the way, everyone rests and talks to each other about what happened and what might come to be; nothing that alters anything.

After traveling some more, the group decides to stop for the night at a power station. The next morning you continue on until you see the house in the distance. Between you and the house is a frozen lake, so it is agreed that you will walk across it spread out. As you are crossing, you need to make some tough decisions, but you eventually reach the shore and the house. After an incident, Jane starts a fire and you fall asleep.

The next morning, you are asked to help Kenny repair a pickup truck. After trying unsuccessfully to start it, Kenny sends you back inside. There, while talking with Jane, the truck starts. Everyone rushes out and begins to argue where to go next, so it is agreed upon to rest until the morning. Early the next morning, you are awoken by a noise outside and discover Bonnie, Mike and Arvo trying to steal the truck. Arvo shoots you in the shoulder and they escape on foot.

You wake up the next morning in the truck with Kenny, Jane and AJ. Kenny and Jane eventually start arguing which ends in Kenny almost crashing the truck. Kenny gets out of the truck to look for some gas, then you are ambushed by walkers. Jane tells you to drive but you crash the truck in a snow drift. Jane gets out with AJ and walks away, losing her in the storm. After some walking, you make it to a rest area where you meet back up with Kenny. He asks where AJ is and gets upset when you say he is with Jane. Just then, Jane shows up at the rest area without AJ. There is conflict between Kenny and Jane and an argument ensues.

The rest of the episode can play out from here many ways so instead of posting spoilers, make the choices you are comfortable with and enjoy the remaining 15 minutes of the season.

  • Complete A New Frontier Episode 1

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

In this episode, you will be introduced to Javi and his family, witnessing their misfortune at the start of the apocalypse. After some exploring, dialogue sections, and action sequences, Javi will eventually meet up with Clementine and a new group of survivors at a settlement before finally returning to the junkyard to rescue Javi's family. The achievement will unlock upon the junkyard firefight and saving your family.

  • Complete A New Frontier Episode 2

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

In this episode, you will return to the settlement of Prescott and experience an unfortunate ambush at the front gates by members of the New Frontier. Afterwards, having fled the area with your family, the group will decide to head to Richmond. These travels come with a few setbacks, notably the attack of some walkers, the confrontation of a mysterious man named Jesus, and an important decision regarding Conrad. Regardless of your decisions, you will eventually reach the front gate of Richmond and enter the settle of the New Frontier, ending the episode and unlocking the achievement in the process.

  • Complete A New Frontier Episode 3

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

This episode kicks off with a flashback scene of Kate and Javi three months after the opening of the game. Back in present day Richmond, David, your brother and leader of the New Frontier will show you around town before you regroup with Clementine and experience a flashback. Once back in present day again, the group will doa some additional exploring in Richmond and after a few subsequent action sequences, Javi will be presented to the "high council" of the settlement. The achievement will unlock shortly after this interaction, when Joan passes her rule.

  • Complete A New Frontier Episode 4

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

This episode picks up with Javi and David trapped in quarantine. Upon escaping sometime later with the help of Kate, it's determined that guns will be necessary in order to save David. Javi and Gabe then break into a school to find the weapons they need and, afterwards, you will experience another Clementine flashback. The episode closes out with the capture of a van from a walker-infested junkyard in town and a massive gunfight at town square in an attempt to save David from death. The achievement will unlock as Kate comes barreling through the square in the previously stolen truck and crashes at the end of the street through a barrier.

  • Complete A New Frontier Episode 5

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

In this final episode of A New Frontier, chaos ensues on the coattails of Episode 4, where walkers have entered Richmond via the destroyed barrier from Kate's messy rescue attempt. After some action sequences and safe refuge in Eleanor's apartment, the group decides to split up in the aftermath of the slaughter. Eventually, Javi and company will venture to a construction site to retrieve the bulldozer and David decides to leave the group, saying that Richmond cannot be saved; Gabe decides to go with him and they eventually drive off. You must then decide if you’re going to go after David and Gabe or help Kate save Richmond. The next chapter of this episode is then determinant on that choice.

    • If you help Kate first, you will seal the breach with the help of Jesus and his friends. When you’ve got everything under control and depending on if Clem stayed with Javi or went after Gabe at the end of Chapter 3, Javi goes off to find David
    • If you went after David first, you find the crashed truck and have to fight a bunch of walkers. Depending on if Clem went with Javi or Kate determines how that scene plays out. When it is over, Javi returns to Richmond in hopes to reunite with Kate

Following these events, the penultimate chapter has a few different outcomes depending on previous decisions and relationships; however, regardless of your choices, the next part is non-determinant: Javi will walk around Richmond and have a chat with Jesus, discussing Richmond's future plans. After this, Clementine approaches, pulls Javi away for a favor, and the achievement will unlock. Finally, the episode will conclude after Clementine makes the decision to go and look for AJ on her own.

  • Complete Michonne Episode 1

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Episode 1 introduces players to Michonne, a character from the comics and TV show that has yet to be seen in the game series. In this episode, you'll be introduced to Michonne and other main characters in this season, as well as get a feel for how life has been like for Michonne while living away from her group she's with on the show and in the comics. A few important choices abound that can result in the life or death of some of the characters.

  • Complete Michonne Episode 2

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Episode 2 sees a more emotional dive into Michonne's history via flashbacks to her apartment. The main antagonist is also given a spotlight. This episode sees you in a tight and tense situation, and once again, you'll have to make some decisions that result in the living or dying of some characters.

  • Complete Michonne Episode 3

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

The third and final episode concludes with the standoff between you and Norma, with a lot at stake. Make whichever decisions you wish in an attempt to tactually get through the situation, or choose to simply fight. After all of the bloodshed and fire, once you're finally safe and free, this achievement will unlock.

  • Complete The Final Season Episode 1

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Episode 1 gets you reacquainted with the story and characters, and introduces you to some new faces. You'll also quickly learn about the "free combat" in this season: unlike all other seasons, where combat is scripted as part of quick-time events, the combat in this game is open in the sense that you can walk around and choose to attack and dodge to kill zombies. It can be a bit awkward at first, but remember to try to keep the zombies on the same side of you so you don't get surrounded.

The beginning of the episode features some of the new combat and a lot of dialogue, but you'll also eventually head outside to fight off some walkers around trees. This part can be a little frustrating, but remember to make good use of the traps located on each of the four trees. Lure a walker toward one and activate it for an instant kill. If you don't use the traps and walkers are grouped up, it's a good idea to stun one (or more) and leave one standing. Lure this one away from the others so you can kill it without getting grabbed by the other walkers. Repeat this process on the group until they're all dead.

The rest of the episode consists of dialogue or some simple action bits until the episode eventually ends.

  • Complete The Final Season Episode 2

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

The majority of this episode is dialogue with some action interspersed in between. The end of the episode concludes with a huge fight. This fight introduces you to using your bow and arrows in open combat. Arrow drop is present in this game, so if you're shooting long distances at walkers, make sure you compensate by aiming above the walker you're shooting at. You'll have to fight off a couple waves, but there is thankfully an auto-save in between the waves. After the fight concludes, the episode will end.

  • Leader

    30

    Complete Season 4 Episode 3

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This episode contains quite a bit of intense dialogue and action. One particular item of note is that during the beginning of the episode when you perform an interrogation, there is a series of dialogue choices that can be made to obtain a password that'll help avoid a fight sequence later in the episode. There are multiple avenues through the interrogation dialogue to obtain the password, but these are the choices I made:

    [Shout at Abel]
    [Let Abel drink]
    "They've abandoned you"
    "Fuck your war"
[Let him smoke] (click on his chest)
    "I hope so"
    [Let him sweat]
    "You'll know soon enough"

This will result in him revealing the password. Make a mental note of it for use later when you're on the boat.

Much of the rest of the episode is action, but you should be relatively comfortable with the combat at this point. The episode eventually winds down with a big surprise before concluding.

  • Savior

    90

Complete The Final Season Episode 4

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

The final episode consists of mostly intense action sequences and some emotional dialogue and situations, as could be expected. There isn't anything that needs explaining in this episode, so sit back and enjoy the finale to this series.
