- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2
- Number of missable achievements: 1, "In the NORN's favour"
- Glitched achievements: None!
- Do cheat codes disable achievements: No Cheats

Overall the game is not terribly difficult. As the review says, most of the achievements can be gotten in around 20 hours. However, the “Unstoppable” achievements and "Relics of a Forgotten Past" will require plenty of skill, patience and luck to obtain.

Welcome to Too Human. This game has a total of 50 achievements and requires two playthroughs to get 1000. The reason for the two playthroughs is that you will need to kill the final boss with a cybernetic and a human aligned character. Of the achievements, 11 are unlocked simply by playing through the story. The remaining 39 achievement will require you to kill a certain number of enemies, perform certain quests, collect certain items or max out your level.

The game offers two playing modes, offline campaign and online coop. The online coop does not have story related cut scenes in it. As such you may want to complete the game by yourself before beating it with a friend. Also, for online coop, it is important to note that enemies level up with your character. As such, you will usually want to play with someone who is around the same level as you. Otherwise the lower level player will find it very difficult to kill even the lowliest goblin.

Last if you are looking for a coop partner from the site, post your gamertag, level, class and what you are looking to do in the forums If you are confused or have a question about an achievement, search for or post your question in the forums.

Step #1: Beat the Game…Twice!
The first thing you need to do on your way to 1000g is to beat the game as a both a human and cybernetic aligned character. The class of these characters is entirely up to you. Personally, I suggest using a commando since when created correctly, it is by far the best class.  Be sure to go for "In the NORN's favour" during one of these playthroughs as it is missable and doesn't carry over from campaign to campaign.

Step #2: Max Out Your Level
If you only beat the game with your two characters and did not play any extra levels with them then they should be somewhere around level 25-30. It is now time to pick which character you will max out to level 50 (God Status). Class and alignment have no bearing on the achievement; this is simply a matter of personal choice. Leveling up your character can be done in the following ways:
  • Use the Aesir Teleport Menu on campaign mode
  • Create an online match with a private slot and play alone
  • Play with a friend online
Any of the above methods work. It’s completely up to you and the mood you’re in which one you use.

Step #3: Relics of a Forgotten Past
Now that you’re level 50, it’s time find those pesky elite armor sets. There’s no “easy” way to get these sets. They are dropped randomly and as such you are the will of the random number generator. If you have elite armor pieces or weapons you would like to trade for ones you need you can arrange a trade HERE. Overall, this is going to be the achievement that takes you the most amount of time.

Step #4: “Unstoppable” Achievements
These achievements require you to beat each level of the game without dying. Additionally, these achievements must be done without stopping (i.e. no save and quit then continue on later) and must be done from the very beginning of the level. Most likely at this point you will probably have the Unstoppable achievement for Hall of Heroes and possibly World Serpent. There are three methods you can use to get these achievements (from easiest to hardest):
  • Find a partner in the Achievement Trading Thread. Next, start a level from the beginning and have only one of you fighting while the other hangs back and eats potato chips. This method makes the achievement very easy, but also very time consuming as it means that you must do two playthroughs of the game.
  • Find a partner in the Achievement Trading Thread. Next, start a level from the beginning and both of you simply play and help each other stay alive. Although less time consuming, this method is more risky. Best combo of classes I have seen so far are the Defender and Bio-Engineer.
  • Play the entire level by yourself. The bonus to doing it this way is that you do not have to worry about losing your connection and being forced to restart a level. The flip side is that it is more challenging. There are several threads within the game’s forum that discuss beating some of the harder parts of certain levels (such as Garm in Helheim)
Step #5: Mop Up
At this point it’s time to complete any achievements that you have left. Use the achievement guide and Achievement Discussion Thread to help you with any problems. If after completing every other achievement you are so good that you still don’t have “Valkyries Folly (Die 100 Times)” it’s time to strap on some cruddy armor and let your enemies hack away at you mercilessly.

To wrap things up, I just want to say that getting 1000g in this game requires a lot of patience. Waiting for the right seven elite pieces to drop may make you want to give up, so be warned before attempting.
[XBA would like to thank Method for this Roadmap]

There are 50 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Find and activate all available Cyberspace wells.

A full list of the 18 cyberspace wells needed for this achievement can be found HERE

    1. Create a new character and pull up the well location guide. Follow above guides and complete the story. DO NOT go to the Aesir at any time during the campaign or replay a past level. Make sure to enter the main well in the Aesir HUB at the Grand Tree.

    2. After finding and activating all of the wells look at your stat screen which is accessible from hitting start. The # of wells activated should be 18.

    3. If you still don't have the achievement (As I didn't) continue the game and defeat Hel. Once she is dead fight your way back the way you came and when you come to her throne room an escort ship will pick you up and take you to Tyr's workshop at the Aesir. You are told to go to the feasting hall Don't do this. Instead go back to the Grand Tree and enter the main well again.

    4. Achievement should unlock here with a total of 19 wells activated.

    - Please note that if at any point you miss a well you cannot go back via mission select and get it, it will void the achievement.

    - This achievement cannot be unlocked in co-op play, only single player.

  • Achieve Adept status.

To reach level 10, you will need 4,710 exp. total.

See "True Son of Odin" for tips on leveling up.

  • Achieve Skilled status.

To reach level 20, you will need 23,299 exp. total.

See "True Son of Odin" for tips on leveling up.

  • Achieve Hero status.

To reach level 30, you will need 42,000 exp. total.

See "True Son of Odin" for tips on leveling up.

  • Achieve Legend status.

To reach level 40, you will need 61,000 exp. total.

See "True Son of Odin" for tips on leveling up.

  • Achieve God status.

Level 50 is the maximum level you can get to. After completing the campaign, you will be around level 25.

When you have completed the campaign, set up a co-op private match, and start it by yourself. You will have twice as many enemies to kill and will level up quicker.

I hit level 50 at around the 30-hour mark (total).

If you make armor or weapons with exp. + ruins, you can have a max of +10%. If you get your combo level up, you can also get +3% for that too.

  • Achieve Adept status or greater for all classes.

Adept status is level 10. You need to reach this with all 5 classes.

If you play "Hall of Heroes" in campaign, you should be around level 10 at the end.

If you have a friend who is kind and a high level, you can just stay at the back of each room in co-op and let them kill everything, As long as you are alive you will earn experience for every enemy your friend kills

I leveled each character up to level 10 via this method in around 25-30 minutes each

  • Assign your first skill point.

Every time you level up, you will earn skill points to assign to your character's skill tree.
After your first level up, press and cycle round to skills and place a point in the top skill.

  • Defeat 100 total enemies using Ruiners.

You will earn this skill in level 1 of the campaign. When you attack enemies, your hit counter and combo gauge in the bottom-right corner will go up. When it fills up, the number in the middle will increase.

You will need at least 1 in your combo gauge to perform a ruiner attack. This is done by pressing , which will let out an explosion and damage/kill anyone caught in it.

NOTE: Playing in co-op if player 1 kills 10 enemies with a ruiner attack, both player 1 and 2 will receive 10 kills and visa-versa

  • Achieve a 100 hit combo.

As you hit an enemy, you will start a combo. You then have X amount of seconds to hit another enemy to keep your combo going.

The hit counter is in the bottom-right hand corner. As soon as you hit 100, the achievement will unlock.

I found this very easy to do with the Berserker, due to his speed. I have now achieved well over a 200-hit combo with him.

  • Defeat 25 enemies with a single Battle Cry.

On your skill tree, there will be 3 skills with a blue circle around them. These are battle cries, and you can only unlock one.

Battle cries increase your speed, strength, etc. depending on which one you choose. You need at least a 1 in your combo meter to perform a battle cry.

As you put more skill points into the skill, it will increase the duration of the battle cry. Press to perform a battle cry. For this achievement, you will need to kill 25 enemies during one battle cry.

  • Collect 1,000 Runes.

Runes are the symbols you collect that you are able to either insert into level 1 charms (to complete them) or into your weapons' armors to increase your stats.

NOTE: If you buy the ruins that change colour of your weapon/armour they DO count towards this achievement.

You can just buy the same ruin over and over till you have filled up your inventory, salvage them all and then repeat until the achievement unlocks.

  • Complete a 7 piece Elite armor suit.

It appears that each class/align have their own unique LVL50 armor that is made up of 7 pieces:

    • Weapon
    • Helm
    • Shoulders
    • Chest Plate
    • Grieves
    • Leggings
    • Boots

The weapon is easy to get: load up a game and go to the weapon shop. Search for your weapon. If it is not there, exit the game and reload. Be warned: they don't come cheap. Weapons cost one-million+ bounty.

We have an official trading thread on the site, which can be found by clicking HERE. If you have a piece that's not for your class/align, you can trade for another piece.

DeZmonD88 has started a thread to see if there is a pattern to finding any armor/weapons. If you find any, please post in the thread by clicking HERE.

  • Collect 1,000,000 in bounty.

As you kill enemies, destroy containers, search pillars, etc., bounty may appear (the currency in the game).

The best source of bounty is attained by selling items/blueprints that you pick up (and don't need). You can sell these items/blueprints by going into the equipment menu and pressing . Then, highlight the item you want to sell and press .

*Note: you do not need to have one-million bounty in your possession at the same time, so do not worry about spending your bounty.

  • Construct 100 blueprints.

When you kill an enemy or search a totem, you may find a blueprint. This can be used to make a weapon or piece of armor.

A piece of dramatic music will play when you collect a blueprint. The music will change depending on the rarity of the item. It will sound more "epic", kind of like an intense orchestra.

The rarity of weapons, armor, runes, blueprints, etc. depends on the item's color:

    • Grey - Common
    • Green
    • Light Blue
    • Purple
    • Orange
    • Red - Rarest

Press to access your equipment menu and press or to cycle through the various tabs in order to find either the weapon or armor/blueprint tab. Press to construct an item from a blueprint, providing you have the required bounty to construct one. For this achievement, you must construct 100 blueprints in this fashion.

Obviously, it's cheaper to do this with the more common items. For example, the red blueprints cost one-million bounty+ to construct, whereas the more common colours will cost far less to construct.

  • Complete a tier 3 charm.

You have 2 spaces to equip charms. Once they are equipped, they can offer many beneficial effects, such as health regeneration and toxic pools that can damage/kill enemies.

    Level 1: White
    Level 2: Purple
    Level 3: Red

To complete a level 1 charm, you must equip a charm by going to your equipment screen and pressing . Then press or to get to the charms tab. Cycle through the various charms you have available and press to select it. Finally, move it to one of the squares at the top.

To complete a level 1 charm, you need to do two things:

    1. Complete the quest associated with that charm. This quest can be in the charms description and could be anything from kill X amount of enemies to kill X amount of leaders to activate X amount of wells and so on.
*Note: To quickly complete the charm quest for activating wells, load up the first part of the world "Serpent" (3-1), and activate the well. Return to the ship and repeat.
    2. Under the quest description, there will be various rune shapes to insert runes. Press while the charm is highlighted and then press to insert them (providing you have that shape). The color of that rune shape (under the charm quest description) will turn from white to blue. Repeat for all slots on that charm.
*Note: The color and property of the rune don't matter so long as you insert into the charm. Once they have been inserted, they are gone for good and you get no benefit from the ruin, So try and use the less useful ones.

Once the quest is completed and all the ruins have been inserted, you will have completed your level 1 charm.

Level 2 charms are completed by completing the task for the charm, but you have to insert completed level 1 charms rather than runes into them.

Level 3 charms are the same as level 2 except you have to insert completed level 2 charms instead of level 1.

  • Assign a skill point to a sentient ability.

Sentient abilities are unlocked by reaching the bottom of your skill tree. Once you reach the bottom, place 1 skill point in the tree to unlock this achievement. You will need at least 35 skill points to reach the bottom of the skill tree to unlock a sentient ability.

An indicator will appear under the word ammo on your HUD in the shape of a wolf, indicating that your ability is available. To activate your sentient ability, you need to click in and at the same time.

  • Execute either a 2 in1 Juggle, Ruiner, Finisher, Slide, or Gunfire move.

When you get within range of an enemy, a small circle will appear around them. Push and hold towards the enemy to perform a slide. You then need to immediately follow it up with one of the attacks listed below to perform a 2in1.

    • 2in1 Juggle = after slide, double tap towards the enemy to perform a juggle.
    • 2in1 Ruiner = after slide, press to perform a ruiner.
    • 2in1 Finisher = after slide, push and towards the enemy to perform a finisher.
    • 2in1 Slide = after slide, hold towards another enemy to perform another slide.
    • 2in1 Gunfire = after slide, hold to fire your gun.
  • Kill 100 enemies with finishers.

To perform a finisher, you need to be close to an enemy and push towards the enemy on both the and at the same time. You will perform a small animation that will end with you jumping in the air and slamming your weapon down.

  • Kill 100 enemies with air combat.

Get close to an enemy and double tap the towards them to uppercut them into the air. Then, jump after them by pressing and continue to attack them by holding towards them until they die. Repeat this 99 more times for the achievement.

  • Defeat a polarity enemy.

    See "Without Equal".

  • Defeat 1000 polarity enemies.

Polarity enemies look like normal enemies, but they are different colors and have different effects when you hit/kill them.

For example: red/orange enemies explode, blue/white enemies freeze you etc.

You need to kill 1000 of these enemies for the achievement to unlock.

  • Complete 20 Charm Quests.

See "Aesir Ascendant" for a description on completing charms.

To fully complete a quest, you need to complete the task for that charm. Then, by inserting assorted charms and runes, you can level up and be forced to do new tasks for that charm. Once a charm is fully completed , it is counted as 1 completed Charm Quest. Repeat 19 more times for the achievement.

Note : The 20 quests need to be completed with 1 character - thanks dstrukt

  • Acquire 7,500 item drops.

When you kill enemies/search totems, you will receive items such as weapon, armor, blueprints, runes, etc. You need to collect 7500 items total from drops for the achievement to unlock.

  • Complete 3 Secret Arena Battles.

Arena battles can be completed by either killing all enemies or killing all enemies within 40 seconds.

There are 4 secret arenas on the first level.

    1. Halfway through the first level there will be a well. When you enter, you will press to push a rock. This rock will turn to point one of 3 doors, and, in turn, will unlock that door in the real word. The door nearest the well (the first 1 you unlock) will have an arena in it.
    2. The middle of the 3 doors will have an arena in it.
    3. In the next room, there are some steps on the left. Walk up them and press to open the door on the opposite side of the room. Inside this door is another arena.
    4. Few rooms along when you enter there will be stairs down to your left and right in between these stairs (below where you enter) is a well where yet again you can unlock a door in the real word which is a little futher along from the well. Go through this door, and follow the long path to a lift that will take you to the 4th arena.
  • Juggle an enemy to be killed in air combat by a teammate.

Player 1 double taps to uppercut the enemy into the air.
Player 2 presses to jump up after enemy and then holds towards the enemy to kill them.

  • One player must destroy the troll's chest armor and the other must mount kill.

Trolls come in 2 main varieties: With giant hammers or with grenade launchers.

Player 1 must destroy of all the troll's chest armor. The quickest way to do this is by jumping with and then performing a finisher ( and towards the enemy at the same time). This should take away all his chest armor.

Player 2 must go behind the troll and mount him by pressing . You must then balance on the troll by pressing the in the opposite direction that the troll is leaning. When he is upright, push up to perform the finishing attack.

  • Achieve Novice status (Level 5).

To reach level 5, you will need 1,290 exp. total.

See "True Son of Odin" for tips on leveling up.

  • Kill 20,000 enemies.

This took me a long time to get (around 38-40 hours total). Every kill you get will count towards this. You can check on your progress by pressing , moving around to stats, and then pressing to cycle through to the tab on the far right.

Secret achievements

  • Hall of Heroes has been completed (all tokens collected) in Single Player or Online Coop Play.

Act 1 of the game is called the "Hall of Heroes" and is made up of 3 sections: 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3. This has to be completed in single player or Co-op to be unlocked.

The boss at the end of 1-3 is called GRNDL-1. You can take the slow approach and shoot at him while moving backwards and then rolling out of the way when he swings at you, or you can just dash into him and attack with everything you got.

Every now and then he will run off to around the outside of the room and shoot some flying robots at you. If they stick to you, they will slowly drain your health, so roll to get them off.

After he has taken so much damage, he will walk on his rear legs after you. Either aim at him and shoot, or jump and attack his head/chest. Be careful, though, as if you get too close there is a very good chance he will grab you and press you against the rollers on his chest, doing you damage.

  • Ice Forest has been completed (all tokens collected) in Single Player or Online Coop Play.

Act 2 is called the "Ice Forest" and has four sections: 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4.

The boss at the end of 2-4 is called Hod. Break the control box next to the barrier to disable it, and then you will have 5 pillars on which Hod will keep jumping between while shooting at you.

Destroy each of the 5 pillars he stands on with gunfire, and when they are all destroyed, he will fall down a level. Go back in the elevator and down to the next floor and repeat the same process 2 more times until he falls to the bottom floor.

When you get to the bottom floor with him, you can attack him properly so rush in and attack him with melee attacks. Using finishers also does massive damage to him.

  • World Serpent has been completed (all tokens collected) in Single Player or Online Coop Play.

Act 3 is called "World Serpent" and is made up of 5 sections: 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4, and 3-5.

The boss at the end of 3-5 is called The Everlasting Hate and is a giant troll that is very, very heavily armored. The safest way to kill him is to target each section of his armor and shoot at it bit-by-bit. This will take quite a while, so when his minions come after you, kill them quickly to make sure you don't target them by mistake.

  • Helheim has been completed (all tokens collected) in Single Player or Online Coop Play.

Act 4 is called "Helheim" and is made up of 5 sections: 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, and 4-5.

This level differs from the others by having 2 bosses:

At the end of 4-3 you will fight a giant dog called Garm. This guy is fairly easy to beat. Target his various sections and shoot at them from a distance until each section has lost all armor/health. If you stay at a distance, the only attack he will use is a needle barrage that you can either roll away from or jump over.

At the end of section 4-5 you will fight your last boss, Hel. She is a push- over compared to the other bosses. You will meet her in a room where she will appear in the center. Attack her with melee for a bit, and then she will teleport around the room.
    She has 3 main attacks:

    1. She will spawn some minions to get in your way.
    2. If you are close, she will do a punch-kick combo on you.
    3. She will fire a purple laser beam at you, which will constantly drain your health.

Keep attacking her while she teleports around the room, and when she has lost so much health, she will disappear and you will need to move into the next room.

The second room is exactly the same as the first room. Keep attacking her, and when she gets down to so much health, she will disappear again.

Walk up the ramp, killing enemies on the way, and enter the cage arena at the top. Continue to attack her like you have in the first two rooms. She will die fairly quickly.

  • Hall of Heroes has been completed without dying.

    See "Unstoppable : Helheim".

  • The World Serpent has been completed without dying.

    See "Unstoppable : Helheim".

  • The Ice Forest has been completed without dying.

    See "Unstoppable : Helheim".

  • Helheim has been completed without dying.

Here are some general tips for getting the unstoppable achievements full credit goes to Tracker4502

    A) Doing it alone is always easier. You may think that having a buddy helps, bu the level becomes sufficiently more deadly in Co-op vs single player. However, the level is only easier if you are playing through the campaign; revisiting the level makes it the same difficulty as doing it in Co-op. Lastly, you don't need to make a new character to try campaign again, but just be warned that you only have once chance per level per campaign to try it on the easier difficulty.

    B) Retreat is always an option. If you can retreat, do so. While you're at it, use pistols / rifles / cannons to pick enemies off one by one. I suggest lasers since they slow down your enemies. Retreating also allows you to break the mob up into small, more managable groups.

    C) Never cut corners. By this, I mean don't waste your spiders, battle cys, ruiners, or sentinent weapons just to speed something up. Save all of these for emergencies. By keeping them all, you will be able to stave off the harder groups of enemies and never be left overwhelmed and cornered.

    D) Patience is key. Between every mob, let your battle cry and spider meters recharge if you used them. If you are a bio-engineer, allow your health to refill.

    E) Use your teammates as bait. The game will constantly supply you with a bevy of teammates that seem to be innumerable. Take advanatage of this by always standing behind them. They do a good job of slowing down the enemies and function as perfect meat-shields.

    F) For Ice Forest and Helheim: Save a sentient weapon for the boss. In the final phase of each, a sentinent weapon will make short work of the boss. This means less risk of you dying at the very end.

  • 100 Elite enemies annihilated.

Elite enemies look very similar to normal enemies, but have a lot more health. They can be identified if you see a health bar at the bottom with their name, such as Elite Goblin.

  • 1,000 Undead slain.

The Undead appear on Act 4 ("Helheim"). There are loads of them. To check your progress, go into your stats on the start screen.

  • 2,500 Goblins defeated.

Goblins appear throughout Act 1 and Act 2. They are very easily killed,. Again, you can check your progress on stats screen.

  • 500 Dark Elves vanquished.

Dark Elves appear in Act 2. They are spider like. Once again, you can check your progress on the stats screen.

  • 50 Trolls destroyed by mounting.

For a description on how to take down trolls, see "Teamwork Takedown".

You must kill 50 by wearing down their armor, followed by mounting them and striking them.

  • Hel has been defeated by the Cybernetic Baldur.

At the end of Act 1, you will go to the armor room, and there you will be given a choice of becoming cybernetic or human. Both of these will give you access to two new skill trees with new abilities on them.

Once you have chosen cybernetic Baldur, play the game through to the end. When you have defeated Hel, the achievement will unlock.

  • Hel has been defeated by the Human Baldur.

Same as "Exultation of Steel" except you have to beat Hel as a human.

  • 100 enemy leaders conquered.

Leaders are the guys that stand at the back of the minions and don't attack until they are short of back up.

They have health bars and normally have a force field around them. You must destroy this force field before you can take down their health.

Act 1 ("Hall of Heroes") has quite a few of them. They are the guys that stay at the back with the missile-firing enemies and shoot the beam that last targets you.

  • Kill 10,000 enemies.

    See "Hate for the Machine".

  • First Cyberspace Well has been activated.

If you play campaign, you will get this as part of the story, very early on in Act 1 ("Hall of Heroes").

For a full list of wells, see "In the NORN's Favor".

  • First Battle Cry unlocked.

See "Show No Mercy" for a description of battle cries.

  • Complete a level 1 charm.

See "Aesir Ascendant" for a description on charms.

  • Die 100 Times.

If you are a berserker, like me, you will die a lot anyway. Unfortunately, you cannot skip the angel death scene.

You can see how many times you have died in the stats screen.
