Jump into the ultimate toy sandbox and build the train set of your dreams! Create colourful railway systems, decorate beautiful towns, transport commuting passengers, and even ride your train in first-person.
Once you start the game you'll want to complete the tutorial to unlock "Elementree school". There really is no story so you can focus on choosing a level and working on achievements. From here you can unlock the following achievements:
- "Spruce up the room"
- "Transcontinental railway"
- "I choo choo choose you"
- "Off the rails"
- "Maple goodness"
Once you get those out of the way focus on playing both levels with passenger mode which will unlock you the following achievements:
- "On the right track"
- "Riding the rails"
- "Good Service on all lines"
Sci-Fi Pack DLC
"Return to the rails with Tracks: The Train Set Game: Sci-Fi Pack! Expand your toybox with over 30 items to use in your worlds. Look to the stars and take your train set further than ever before with new buildings, passengers, vehicles and a rocket train. Why not create an uncharted world with the new space rover, UFO, asteroid and alien? Perhaps take a giant leap for mankind with the new moon base, flag, craters and moon lander? Tracks' already expansive toy sandbox has just got bigger. This is a great opportunity to revisit the brilliantly relaxing toy train set builder and hop back into the driver’s seat." - microsoft.com
This paid DLC adds five achievements for 500. Everything will be done on the level 'Moon' in 'Free Play' (choosing Free Play is not necessary as this is the only mode available for this level). None of the achievements are difficult as they mainly just require you to place objects in the playing area, but getting used to the controls might take a little time. Also, if you want to, you can clear the track after each achievement or just continue along in a different location of the playing area. Completing this DLC should only take about an hour, give or take.
A fun and easy train simulation game that shouldn't give you any trouble what so ever. Enjoy the music while you build your way to an easy completion!
