Introduction:
This game is based on the movie of the same name. There are no collectibles and the game is straightforward. It has two single player campaigns (Autobots and Decepticons), which are the same story from different sides. Most of the achievements are earned by playing through the game, but are not necessarily story related. They require you to earn medals by getting certain times on missions. The entire game is based around these times.

There is a multiplayer mode which you can get most of the achievements through player matches by yourself. No achievement requires Ranked matches, but a few like the viral do require other players.

The cheats do disable achievements and saving.

Playthrough:
Playthrough each campaign going for the Platinum times. Pay attention to the Unlockables though as you will want to unlock the characters as soon as possible. They are a huge help in getting better times. For example, the first Decepticon Shanghai mission you use Sideways. To unlock all the Shanghai characters you have to get 10 head shots with Sideways. Work on this first, then just restart the mission and go for the best time. You will now be able to use all characters for the other 5 Shanghai missions.

Cleaning Up:
When you beat the campaign you can then go back and work on any unlocks you have not finished and try to get Platinums. By doing this at the end after completing the game you will have the characters unlocked as well as purchased more upgrades, which help your times. You will continue to earn energon working towards Platinum, but if you get all Platinums and don't have enough for "Do the Math" or haven't purchased all upgrades "Power to the People" continue to replay the final mission as it gives you the biggest payout in the shortest amount of time.

These steps are the same for both Autobot and Decepticon Campaigns, and the Decepticon can be slightly easier for Platinums, but also requires you to earn more energon and kill more enemies.

Multiplayer:
I am separating these out, but they can be done at any time. Most can be done by yourself in a private match on Control Point gametype, but all can be done in a player match or ranked match. You will have to find someone with the viral though to unlock that achievement.

    Complete each mission in the zone earning at least a bronze medal. This should come naturally as bronze is very easy to get for most missions. You can check your medal times in the War Room and the timer is in the corner of the screen. Just make sure you play all missions, as you can progress through the story without completing each and every one. You can move around the map and check to see which missions you have not completed in each zone.

    Defeat Megatron - Autobot Campaign

    Story related. You will fight Megatron in the first Cairo mission. Just use a character you are familiar with to make it easier and fill your overdrive by killing the enemies and then save it for the bosses.

    Unlock all Autobot Unlockables

    Go to unlockables screen in War Room to see all requirements for each unlockable. You can work towards most of these as you are going through your first playthrough and still get decent medals. Then you can go back and finish up anything you don’t have.

    Also these count even if you quit mid-level, you do not have to complete the mission for your unlockable progress to count. A note on this though, although they count if you quit out, is will not save unless you complete a mission or buy something from the upgrades screen.

  • Power to the People

    Purchase All Autobot Upgrades

    Keep spending Energon as you earn it throughout the campaign. If this has not unlocked by the end, go back and replay missions. The final boss mission gives over 200,000 so is the best mission to replay. Total cost for all of the upgrades is 2,445,000.

    Eliminate 250 Decepticons - Autobot Campaign

    Should come naturally when completing the campaign, but if not just keep replaying a mission with a lot of Decepticons, killing as many as possible.

  • Do the Math

    Acquire 2,000,000 Energon in the Autobot Campaign

    You can check progress in the Global Stats in the pause menu. You will probably not get this on the first playthrough, just go back and replay the final boss level in Cairo. You earn over 200,000 each time you beat the boss. You can also keep replaying the race mission in East Coast in Downtown with Breakaway. Also all the upgrades for "Power to the People" cost more than 2,000,000 so you can work towards that and get this on the way. This does not require the player to have 2,000,000 at once, just earned in total through the campaign. This is tracked in Global Stats from the pause menu in War Room.

  • A True Autobot

    Earn Platinum Medals on ALL Autobot Missions

    This can take a little while. Try to get Platinum on your first playthrough, but if you miss it no big deal, just continue on through the game. There are unlockables that will unlock all characters for missions in a certain zone. Complete the requirement for the unlockable and then you can go back and retry the mission with a different character, which can make things much easier. Skillshots are also your friend, if you see them, shoot them. They stop the clock for 10 seconds each. It is not a bad idea to go through a level looking for them. When you know where they are, restart and play level for time.

    You can check your time in the War Room. The timer also updates in the corner of the screen in the mission telling you the time you need for the current displayed medal.

    Story related. You will fight Optimus on the East Coast US. If you are having trouble, use Megatron and fill your overdrive meter by killing the first enemies with special shots. Save the overdrive for Optimus. When he appears, use Megatron’s special and then use overdrive with his primary weapon.

    This is the same as Autobot. Go to unlockables screen in War Room to see all individual requirements. You can work towards most of these on your first playthrough, then go back and finish up anything you don’t have. Also progress towards these saves even if you quit mid-level, but the game will not save until you either beat a mission or buy something in the upgrades screen in the War Room.

    Purchase All Decepticon Upgrades

    The Upgrades screen is in the War Room, and this requires all upgrades full to level 3. Keep spending your Energon on upgrades as you earn it throughout the campaign. If this has not unlocked by the end, replay missions until you have enough money. Replay the final boss mission in Cairo as it gives over 200,000 in a fairly short amount of time. The total cost is 2,445,000.

    This should come naturally when completing the campaign and working towards Platinum medals. If not, just keep replaying a mission with a lot of Autobots.

  • Break the Bank

    Acquire 3,000,000 Energon in the Decepticon Campaign

    You will not get this on the first playthrough. Just go back and replay the final level - “Defeat the Fallen”. You earn over 200,000 each time. You can also keep replaying the race mission in Shanghai on the Spiral Highway zone. Don’t worry about time, just make sure you get all Skillshots and kill the enemies for the bonus objectives.

  • A True Decepticon

    Earn Platinum Medals on ALL Decepticon Missions

    This is the same as Autobot Campaign, see “A True Autobot”. Try to get Platinum on your first playthrough, but if you miss one, just continue through the game and go back later to replay the mission. You can unlock more characters in each zone by meeting the requirements posted in the Unlockables screen in War Room. See "A True Autobot" for more information. Skillshots and using overdrive is key.

    Earn a Platinum Medal - Either Campaign

    You can check the times required for each medal as well as current medal earned from the War Room. The mission timer, in the corner of the screen, will update with the medal times as it counts. Playing through the game normally you will probably get Gold, Platinum, and maybe Silver. Bronze, you may have to replay a mission and actually wait for the time to accumulate without completing the mission. Then whenever the timer is in the bronze time frame do the last objective the mission requires.

    Try a race like the Decepticon one in Spiral Highway in Shanghai, as times in general for those are shorter so you can wait right before the end for the timer to go into whatever medal time you need, then finish.

    Place in the top of the leaderboards in either time or energon score. Two different chances for each leaderboard, and it counts for each mission or the overall of a campaign as well. So, you only have to be on the top for one mission in either Autobot or Decepticon missions and you do not have to complete the campaign first. Check the leaderboards from the Main Menu or the War Room. Some people have had trouble unlocking this until checking the leaderboards for their score.

    This will unlock automatically after you beat your first Shanghai mission on either campaign (2nd level in the game).

    Purchase an Upgrade - Either Campaign

    This is easily done after the first mission. After completing first mission, go to Upgrades screen in War Room and press to spend your Energon. You will notice the level starting to rise. Each upgrade has 3 levels, but this unlocks after completing just one level of any upgrade. Also see “Power to the People”.

    This unlocks automatically after completing the training mission in either campaign.

    Fill OVERDRIVE Meter - Either Campaign

    Simply fill your overdrive. You will do this constantly throughout the campaigns. Special shots (Jump shots, Head shots, Combo, Advanced Melee, etc.) add to your overdrive, which you can then use to become more powerful and invincible for a short time. You will probably get this on the first mission after the tutorial.

  • Choose a Side

    Win one RANKED/PLAYER MATCH game as Autobots and one as Decepticons

    Setup a Control Point match with all Private Slots and begin with just yourself. Complete match by capturing all control points. Do this while playing as both Autobots and Decepticons. See "Hold!".

    Win a Control Point round without losing a control point in a RANKED/PLAYER MATCH game

    There is a Control Point trick. Create a player match, Control Point game by yourself will all private slots and begin the game without anyone else present. Now travel around the map capturing each control point.

  • Follow the Leader

    While playing One Shall Stand, as the leader, kill the opposing leader in a RANKED/PLAYER MATCH game

    **Requires minimum or 2 people**
    To do this is to play in a One Shall Stand match (ranked or player) and when you are the leader (Optimus or Megatron), go look for the other leader and kill them. The leader is decided by the person with the highest score at the beginning of the round, but is random for the first round.

    You can also boost this with one friend. Just start a One Shall Stand, Player match and begin with just the two of you. When in game you will both be the leaders on opposite sides. Go kill the other person.

  • Life of the Party

    Host one game of each game type in a PLAYER MATCH game

    **Requires minimum of 2 people for 2 of the matches**
    Simply go through the list hosting games and changing game types after each one. The match needs to be completed not just started, so you can put the time limit or kill count lower to speed things up. You can host most game types by yourself, except Team Deathmatch and One Shall Stand. They both require minimum of 2 people.

  • Smells Like Victory

    Win a Match as Each of the 15 Default Characters

    You will have to play as all selectable Autobot and Decepticons. Just keep playing online matches selecting different characters after each win. This will come with enough time, but you can also use the control point trick described in "Hold!".

    Optimus and Megatron will not count towards this achievement if playing One Shall Stand game type, they have to be played in other game types.

    The unlockable and pre-order bonus characters do not count towards this, so don’t worry about them.
