Unyielding Achievement in Trials HD

  • Unyielding

    15

The player has completed Groundhog Returns faultlessly without changing the rider's posture.

  • How to unlock Unyielding

This one is a bit tricky, go to Groundhog returns which is under Medium difficulty and complete the entire track while changing posture, move the to change your posture.

  • Don't touch the left stick just use throttle and break easier than it sounds just take your time.
  • this is kind of weird because the achievement says "do not change" and the explanation says "change with LS".
  • I've done this 3 times and haven't got it?Do you have to get the gold medal too?
  • Edit i was doing groundhog BEGINS dont get them mixed up
  • will it unlock if you don't restart? i've done it a few times now and it won't seem to unlock
  • nevermind :). don't restart which should be obvious
  • i've done it faultlessly three times and i haven't got it ??
  • This achievement is fucking bullshit. This game is fucking bullshit. The physics don't make any goddamn sense, and the rider is quite possibly the worst rider on the planet. Seriously, how bad do you have to suck to flip over backwards when taking off? And the idea of doing this without changing posture? That's the ONLY thing that stops you from NOT face planting or flipping over, at least in real-world physics, I know that the brakes supposedly help, but when your airborne brakes and throttle do nothing because there is no surface that the wheels are on. The logistics behind doing such a thing just flies in the face of anything that could actually happen on any fucking planet with a gravitational pull not just earth. Fuck the people who made this game. Fuck them right in their stupid stup
  • stupid asses.
  • @msfstar13 "the rider is quite possibly the worst rider on the planet" that's you controlling that little guy on the screen.
  • Easier said than done is an understatement. I keep getting to about the 3/4 mark on the track and every single time I flip over. Oh well, I'll get this one eventually. But until then, try try try try try some more
  • #8, i completely agree with you! This games THEE WORST physics, i can even fucking believe it. The games fun and all, but it takes more patience than limbo does, but difference is limbo is actually worth $15
  • This was far more easier than Unyielding II in Trials Evolution, don't know why people seem to lose their cool with this one. =)
  • I have a little advice for this one. Smoothly accelerating is a good skill to develop. The trick is getting MAX speed while not getting thrown off the bike. The second advice is perseverance--here's a walkthrough: 1. First ramp. Get over the hump, then depress and hold RT 3/4 of the way. You should land without bouncing around too much. 2. Second ramp. Smoothly accel. to full to get up top. 3. Third ramp. Smoothly accel to full, jump over explosives, landing partway on a rounded ramp. Accelerate for an instant just as you land. From there, you should have a tiny bit of forward momentum that will bring you to a small ramp. 4. Small ramp. Position your rear wheel just past the first hump. Smoothly accel. to full. You should land with the front half of your motorcycle on raised platf
  • orm. Brake at this instant--your momentum should carry you to a stop on this platform. 5. From the center of the raised platform, quickly depress RT to jump to the next platform. Brake right as you land. 6. Back to the edge of this platform, and again smoothly accel. to full to make the jump. Simple. 7. Next, 2 ramps sitting on a pile of barrels. This is the trickiest part of the whole run, IMO. I got it by smoothly accelerating to full for the first jump, and revving it again as I skipped across the second ramp. This allowed me to land in a level position past the next checkpoint. You should land just on the ramp with a tiny bit of room to brake. 8. Simply back up, and smoothly accel. to full over the last fiery chasm. Enjoy the blunt-force trauma, and the 15G. :0
  • The achievement didn't pop for me either..I did it twice and it never popped. After that, I backed out to where you picked the level and started from there every time I failed..eventually after another hour trying I made it to the end and it finally popped. So try that.
  • This achievement, not fun.
  • Only took me 2 hours today to get this! (Only, lol) About 30 minutes of learning how to complete the course without changing posture, an hour of being frustrated and failing at easy parts I should've gotten every time, and the last 30 minutes actually putting what I learned into action. I'd suggest going through the course a couple times and restarting on checkpoints if you fail at first, that way you know how to pass each section without changing posture. Then after your confident you can pass each section without changing posture, go for the achievement. After I learned what I was doing I could get all the way the 2nd to last section 90% of the time without making a mistake, after a while I got past that one and the last jump is really simple.
  • Also, don't even have your other hand near the left stick or D-pad, bumping either of them will invalidate the achievement.
  • @ #7 - u mad, bro?
