Introduction:
Welcome to Trigger Witch, a Legend-of-Zelda-like adventure game, where you'll explore an overworld with an isometric view, conquer dungeons by defeating enemies and solving puzzles to reach the boss, and expand your arsenal in doing so. The main thing that makes this game unique is that it uses a shoot-em-up approach to combat. Weapons you get throughout the game are different types of guns, and it functions like a twin-stick shooter as you progress and fight enemies and bosses. If you're familiar with EastAsiaSoft from their quick and easy gamerscore games, know that this one is a more "legitimate" experience of a full, fun game. Let's get started.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
As noted in the overview above, you can play on Very Easy difficulty, and I recommend doing so. There is still some challenge even on the easiest difficulty. You may also notice the huge amount of achievements in this game, but don't be daunted by that. None are difficult, and I will walk through how and when to get them all to make it as smooth of a completion as possible.

When starting the game, you can get two achievements related to specific options, namely: turn on Pinata Mode to get Confetti Explosion (15G) out of the way, and turn off Laser Sight to get Hunting Blind (15G). Once you get both of those from your first 25 kills, feel free to turn blood back on (Pinata Mode off), and definitely turn your Laser Sight back on.

Go ahead and follow the tutorial, heading out of your house and to the northwest to get your first gun. Shoot right up into the Ordnance Rift to unlock Did You Expect Cake? (10G). Now head west into the Stock Gauntlet training grounds. Towards the end, you can get your first weapon part from a chest for What's This Doing Here? (15G), and right after that is the time trial where you can unlock Need For Speed (15G). Finish up the Stock Gauntlet, and your mom will give you the Wayfarer's Stone. Leave the training grounds, pull up your map with button-page.png and hold button-x.png to teleport to your house, unlocking There's No Place Like Home (10G). Inside your house, fire your gun to unlock Firearm Safety 101 - Failed (10G). Now head up to the church-like area in the center of town. Head inside and read the book on the altar (choose the "Continue reading" option every time), and once you've gone through the whole book, you'll unlock Triggernometry 101 (25G). That's it for miscellaneous achievements we can do now. You're now ready to proceed on your adventure.

For the first dungeon, head south to the beach to release the dragon, then to the Foundry where the eastern red X on your map is. In this dungeon, you can unlock Why Run When You Can Stand Still? (15G) on any of the conveyor belts. You're unlikely to unlock it naturally, so use any of the looping fast conveyor belts to quickly grind it out. It shouldn't take more than a minute or two. The new gun is this dungeon is story related (Boom! Shake The Room (15G)). Beat the very easy boss fight to wrap up this dungeon.

For the second dungeon, head to the southwest red X on your map to reach the mines. In this area of the overworld, and inside the dungeon itself, is where you can unlock Sergeant Angle (15G). You'll actually likely unlock this naturally while inside the dungeon, just because there are so many reflective surfaces, so I wouldn't bother trying to actively go for it; it's pretty tough to line up bouncing shots. The new weapon in this dungeon actually isn't story related. One of the miners will tell you about it though - it's in the northeast corner of the top floor. You just have to fight off a bunch of enemies to open the door, and then the mini uzis are yours (Uzi Does It (15G)). This dungeon also introduces broom sections, and you'll unavoidably do two in this dungeon out of the total five needed for Clean Sweep (15G). Beat the boss and wrap up this simple dungeon.

With both of those done, it's time to head northeast to Mountain Frost region and its dungeon. Before going there, if you haven't already, return to town to upgrade your weapons. I highly recommend upgrading (or even maxing out, if you can) the Hand Cannon, since it has unlimited ammo. Definitely max out its damage and ammo capacity. You need to do this for achievements anyway. Note that you can also upgrade your health in town too. This is obviously helpful, but be aware that there aren't any achievements tied to upgrading your health, and it costs a pretty decent amount of money.

The third dungeon, Snapfrost Dungeon, has the achievement Friendly Fire (15G), and this is the only place to get it, so make sure you do so before getting this dungeon's unmissable Fire Lance weapon. That's all to point out for this dungeon. Work your way through it and beat the boss.

With the three first dungeons done, head back to town, get your potion, break through the barrier, and you'll get captured. This is where you'll be introduced to the Arena, and during the story is your first opportunity for Wicked Witch (30G). If you don't get it during the story on your first try, you can attempt it later when your health and weapons are fully upgraded. Now you can head to the next two dungeons in either order.

The intended fourth dungeon is the Floating Pavilion, in the northeast. There, be sure to get Safety Hazard (15G) for letting fans blow enemies off the edge to their death. The weapon here, the Telescopic Shooter, is technically not story related, but it's on your path and basically unmissable. No boss fight here, just a simple escape sequence at the end.

The intended fifth dungeon is the Old Nux Castle, ni the northwest. To access it, you need to go around its right side to the top, then back down the left side to the front to lower the drawbridge. In this dungeon, you'll virtually unavoidably unlock Who's Afraid Of The Dark? (15G), this dungeon's achievement. The weapon in this dungeon, the Thunderer, is not story related, but it's easier enough to find right below the teleporter on the top floor (3F). The boss fight here requires you to use the light mechanic, but it should be simple enough considering you should have fully upgraded health and weapons by this point.

With those two dungeons done, it's time to head up to the barrier in the north, to access the final dungeon and boss of the game. You can wrap up any miscellaneous achievements you're missing, but don't worry - you'll be able to free roam after the completion and revisit any areas or dungeons, if need be. No achievements tied to this final dungeon, and its weapon seems to have been patched to be unmissable now. So, progress through and beat the final boss, watch the epilogue, and then sit through the credits. Once you're back in the game, you'll get a new task to talk to old friends, and they're all marked on your map. Do so to unlock Colette the Courageous (15G). That should wrap up your completion.

Conclusion:
Trigger Witch is a surprising gem from EastAsiaSoft. I have always felt that EastAsiaSoft has better quality games than most other shovelware developers, especially with their very fun shmups, but it was surprising to see a full length game with some depth and a matching achievement list. If you like simple adventure games but want a shoot-em-up twist, this is a solid game worth checking out. Congrats on the completion!

There are 57 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Complete your firearm collection

This achievement will unlock when you've collected all of the guns listed above.
  • Defeat 500 enemies

This is cumulative, and will unlock very early in your playthrough, especially considering you often need to kill all enemies to progress.
  • Empty a full clip of the dual mini blasters without missing an enemy

Refer to Uzi Does It (15G) for unlocking the dual mini uzies.

The easiest way to unlock this achievement is to head to the Mountain Frost area in the northeast of the overworld. There, you'll find ice block enemies that can't be hurt with normal (bullet-based) guns. Get a group of two or three to make it easier, and then just fire into them with a full clip. Despite not damaging them, you'll still unlock this achievement. They can't hurt you, so just let them stay up against you so you don't miss.
  • Spread fire between 20 enemies with the fire-lance

Refer to Cooking With Gas (15G) for obtaining the Fire Lance.

Despite the description wording, this achievement is actually cumulative; it doesn't need to be done across a single use of the Fire Lance, or anything like that. Setting an enemy on fire, will ignite nearby enemies too, but this seems a bit finicky. It seemed to me like I was lighting multiple enemies on fire by shooting the Fire Lance, but it was apparently counting for this achievement. Just use your Fire Lance on groups of enemies until this achievement unlocks.
  • Kill 3 enemies at once with the telescopic shooter

Refer to .50 Caliber Love Letter (15G) for obtaining the Telescopic Shooter.

This achievement basically requires you to get a triple kill via bullet penetration with this sniper rifle. Any of the basic enemies in the overworld are prime for this. Find a group of three or more, alert them so they chase you, which typically causes them to group up, and fire into three lined up. You'll have tons of opportunities for this throughout the game and many areas of the overworld.
  • Kill 10 enemies with a single clip from the Heavy Blaster

Refer to This Ain't Light (15G) for obtaining the Heavy Blaster.

Even though the description says you need to use a single clip for this achievement, it's important to note that it doesn't need to be in a single use of the gun. By that, I mean you can find a group of enemies, kill them, find another group of enemies, kill them, etc., until you've killed ten, as long as you don't reload in between. This gun is an LMG, so there is plenty of ammo in one clip to kill ten enemies. Walking around the overworld against basic enemies is a really easy way to get the ten kills without reloading.
  • Kill 4 enemies with 4 different weapons in ten seconds

To unlock this achievement, you'll obviously first need to unlock four total weapons, but I recommend waiting until you have four bullet guns. For example, the Fire Lance takes a while for enemies to die from the fire, so it's not really practical for this achievement. Then, you'll need to map four weapons to the directional pad. To do so, hold lb.png to bring up the weapon wheel, highlight a weapon with analog-right.png, and then press a direction on the dpad to map it to that direction.

With four weapons mapped (plus your Hand Cannon you can switch back to with rb.png), you now just need a group of four or more enemies. I recommend five or six, just because you're likely to accidentally kill more than one while shooting so quickly. You need to actually be pretty quick for this, so there isn't much room for thought. Get a kill, immediately press a dpad direction, and keep going. It might take a couple tries to get down the button inputs to quickly switch, aim, fire, and kill, but the overworld is full of groups of easy to kill enemies.
  • Beat the Stock Gauntlet time trial with more than 15 seconds left

This takes place during the tutorial section (but can be retried by returning there at any time). As the description says you need to complete the time trial (shooting targets and moving through the course) with at least 15 seconds left on the clock at the top of the screen.

I did this first try using the Hand Cannon (starting weapon) and no other weapons, and I had 23 seconds left on the clock, so this should be no problem, especially with a second weapon so you don't have to wait to reload so often.
  • Travel 500 metres by conveyor belt

This achievement takes place in Firearm Foundry, the first dungeon of the game.

There are conveyor belts in just about every room in this dungeon. Simply travel a cumulative total of 500 meters on them. If you want, you could go to a looping conveyor belt and just idle on it. However, walking on a fast-moving conveyor belt, I unlocked this achievement in only a minute or two.
  • Kill 10 enemies by wall bouncing

This achievement takes place in Shimmer Lode Mine, the second dungeon of the game.

Inside and just outside this dungeon are crystals that reflect your bullets, as well as walls with crystal in them that do the same. As the description says, you need to kill a total of 10 enemies with reflected shots. This can be tough to aim for, but I found this dungeon to have so many reflective surfaces that this achievement came very early and without actually trying for it. Spray around each room in the dungeon and you'll likely unlock this achievement in the first few rooms.
  • Make 5 enemies die from fire traps

This achievement takes place in Snapfrost Dungeon, the third dungeon of the game.

This is practically story related. There are many combat rooms where you need to kill all enemies to proceed, and the only way to kill the ice block enemies is to lure them to one of the many obvious fire traps to melt them. You'll be forced to do this a bunch of times to progress, so just intentionally lure some other enemies into fire to unlock this achievement. Just make sure that you let the enemies die from the fire. It takes a few seconds for them to die, so make sure you don't shoot and kill them while they're on fire.
  • Make 10 enemies fall to their untimely death

This achievement takes place in Floating Pavilion, the fourth dungeon of the game.

There are many combat rooms with fans blowing, trying to push you off the edge. For this achievement, enemies need to get blown off to their death. There are a bunch of rooms where you can actively lure enemies to fans, but you'll find that, like other dungeons, this happens naturally, just because there are so many combat rooms with fans, and so many enemies that can easily be blown off.
  • Kill 10 enemies hidden by darkness in the Old Nux Castle

This achievement takes place in Old Nux Castle, the fifth dungeon of the game.

This dungeon is dark(er) than others, and you'll have a light area around you to see. For this achievement, you need to kill ten enemies outside that light area, in the darkness. Like all other dungeon-specific achievements, this one will definitely come naturally. There are a ton of dark combat rooms, and there's pretty much no way you won't kill enemies in the dark while you're firing into the mobs.
  • Attempt the Arena Challenge

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

At the halfway point in the game, after crossing the magical barrier, you'll be taken prisoner and forced to compete in the Arena challenge. For the purposes of this achievement, it doesn't matter how well you do, but this is the first opportunity to try for Wicked Witch (30G).
  • Score more than 5,000 in the Arena Challenge

Refer to Wicked Witch (30G) for more information.
  • Score more than 10,000 in the Arena Challenge

At the halfway point in the game, you will be taken prisoner and forced to compete in the Arena. After this story point, you can head back to the Arena (big white building north of the goblin village) at any time to compete in the Arena again.

As the description says, you need to score more than 10,000 points in a single run. To make this as easy as possible, wait until you've fully upgraded your health and your Hand Cannon. I'll note that I did this on my first try (during the story related Arena challenge), but afterwards you get a second health vial. So, if you fail on your first try, when you go back, you can have double the health vials, making it much easier.

Even on Very Easy, this achievement is challenging. Enemies start spawning in massive amounts. You'll want to constantly be doing loops to avoid most projectiles, dashing through enemies that you end up running into, but most importantly, stay conscious of your health so you make sure to use a health vial before you die.
  • Find 10,000 gems

This is cumulative, and you don't need to have all 10,000 gems on you at once, so feel free to spend them as you collect them.

    Gems come from two sources:

    • Dropped by defeated enemies/bosses
    • Found inside small chests all over
You'd think the chests would be your main source of gems, but you barely get any gems from chests. That being said, there are a ton of chests all over, so it's still worth opening them. I mainly bring it up because enemies give gems more often and higher amounts, so you should be killing all enemies you come across. What's nice is that, when you kill all enemies in an area, all dropped gems will automatically be collected. This is useful for knowing all enemies are dead, but it also means that you don't need to chase after dropped gems all the time, knowing they'll be collected once all enemies are dead.

This achievement unlocked for me by around the halfway point in the game, killing all enemies I came across and opening tons of chests, so you have tons of time to collect this many. Worst case, if you need more gems, you can compete in the Arena challenge to earn gems quickly.
  • Spend 10,000 gems

Refer to Gemologist (15G) for finding 10,000 gems, but it will come naturally as you progress and open chests you come across.

As far as spending 10,000 gems, you'll spend a bit over 5,000 gems fully upgrading a weapon for an achievement. Since you can cheese the achievement for upgrading four weapons, I recommend spending your money on fully upgrading your health then, since it'll drastically help with survivability in the second half of the game. You also need to buy all maps from the shops for an achievement, so do that too. Lastly, you need to win 750 chips at the casino for two achievements, and that'll assuredly cost you a couple thousand gems.

All in all, this achievement will come naturally as you work on other achievements.
  • Collect your first weapon part

Refer to The Power Is Yours (30G) for more information.
  • Collect all weapon parts

There are a total of 36 weapon parts in the game. They are all in purple bigger chests, aside from one: the Gambler in the casino sells one weapon part for 250 chips, which you'll need to win in the casino game to buy it from him.

For all the rest of the weapon parts, you can buy maps from the two potion shops (one in town and one in goblin village) to reveal all of the weapon part locations in the overworld and in every dungeon. This makes the dungeon ones particularly easy to track down if you missed any. The only issue with some of the overworld ones is that there at cave exits, and you need to find the cave entrance to reach that exit. Simply exploration will yield all the caves you need, but if you need help tracking any down, refer to the video guide below. Full credit to the creator.
  • Fully upgrade a weapon

Refer to Upped Your Arsenal (30G) for more information.
  • Fully upgrade 4 weapons

This achievement actually does NOT require you to have four weapons fully upgraded at the same time. This makes it easy to trick the game into tracking this achievement by only fully upgrading one weapon.

You'll first need a total of around 5000-6000 gems, and four weapon parts. Head to the weapon shop in town, pick any weapon, unlock all four slots with weapon parts, and fully upgrade each one with your gems. When done, exit out of the shop to save and cause the achievement tracker to increase. Now head back inside, go to the fully upgraded weapon, and hold button-x.png to be refunded your four weapon parts and all the gems you spent. Now fully upgrade a different weapon, leave to save, etc. Repeat this for two more weapons to unlock this achievement.
  • Read the full history of the Great Trigger in The Chamber

In the center of town is a church-like area. Head inside, and there's a book on the altar at the top. Read this book, choosing "Continue reading" every time the option presents, and when you finish reading the book you'll unlock this achievement.
  • Talk to every business owner

There are a total of five business owners you need to talk to:

    1. The owner of the potion shop in town
    2. The owner of the gun upgrade shop in town
    3. The Gambler in charge of the casino in the far southeast
    4. The goblin who runs the potion shop in the goblin town (white tent on the east side of town)
    5. The guy who runs the Arena (white building north of goblin town)
Note that many will address you when you enter. You need to actually approach them and talk to them to count for this achievement.
  • Talk to villagers 10 times

This is cumulative, but can't be the same villager ten times. Just talk to everyone around town and you'll unlock this achievement.
  • Collect every map

Despite this achievement saying you need to collect every map, I didn't need to, and that seems to be commonly reported. I only need 13 of the 15 total maps in the game.

There are two types of maps in the game:

    • Ones in regular chests in dungeons
    • Ones purchased from shops
For the first type, each dungeon in the game has a map hidden in a chest somewhere in the dungeon. These are typically just off the main path, in a side room, but other than that, they aren't hidden. These reveal the entire area of that dungeon.

For the second type, there are two stores that sell unique maps. The potion shop in Ozryn sells five maps, and the goblin potion shop in the white tent on the right of that village sells another three maps. These maps show you the locations of the weapon parts, which are needed for another achievement, so I recommend buying the Evertonia ones right away to save time backtracking.

Apparently, once you collect 13 maps, you'll unlock this achievement.
  • Uncovered every area in Evertonia

This is very nearly story related. Unlike most other adventure games, areas are uncovered in the overworld in their entirety as soon as you enter them. For example, as soon as you step into Mountain Frost in the southeast, the entire area is uncovered on your map. This makes this achievement quite simple. You'll be entering every area on the map in order to complete the story, to my knowledge. The only one I'm not positive on is the lava area directly east from center (right above the Shimmer Lode Mine dungeon).

If you've uncovered the entire map, this achievement will unlock when you enter the final area of the game, the Ruins up north, where the final boss is.
  • Use teleporters 10 times

This is cumulative across all dungeons.

Each dungeon has teleporters to use for fast travel, pictured in the achievement image. You'll assuredly be using them multiple times to backtrack around dungeons as you find a weapon to access new areas, find a key, etc. You could grind this out quickly in any dungeon by teleporting around, but this should come naturally.
  • Complete each broomstick section

There are a total of five brookstick sections in the game:

    1. In Firearm Foundry, on the far east of the main floor, you'll need to take this one to reach the next floor
    2. In Firearm Foundry, the boss fight takes place on a broom and counts towards this
    3. In Sky Pavilion, in the southeasternmost corner of the dungeon
    4. In the Arena (white building north of the goblin village), talk to the man in charge to play the Arena challenge, and make sure to choose the rightmost (broomstick) option
    5. In the final dungeon
  • Consume 25 health vials

This is cumulative over the entire game, and will almost assuredly come naturally unless you're really good at this game.

Your single health vial fills up as you kill enemies, and once it's full, you can press button-y.png to heal back to full health. Do this a total of 25 times to unlock this achievement.
  • Impress The Gambler

The casino is located in the southeastern corner of the map. Head south to the beach, then all the way east to find a cave. Head through it and out the other end to be back on the beach, with the huge casino there. Inside, the Gambler is the NPC that greets you, on the right side.

To unlock this achievement, you need to win a total of 500 chips from the game at the top of the casino. This costs quite a bit of money, so I recommend doing it after you've already upgraded enough and unlocked those achievements (since money for this achievement is essentially wasted). After you win a total of 500 chips, talk to the Gambler on the right and buy a familiar from him for 500 chips to unlock this achievement.
  • Shoot into the Ordnance Rift

The Ordnance Rift is where you get your first gun in the game, right outside the tutorial area. Simply fire up into it with any gun to unlock this achievement.
  • Shoot your firearm inside your house

Once you get a gun from the Ordnance Rift, return to your house at any time (using the Wayfarer's Stone, to also unlock its achievement). Head inside and shoot any gun, unlocking this achievement.
  • Kill 25 enemies with gore mode off

This achievement requires you to go into the Options (either from the main menu or pause menu) and turn on Pinata Mode. This turns off blood and makes all enemies explode in confetti when they die. As the description says, kill a cumulative total of 25 enemies with Pinata Mode turned on to unlock this achievement.
  • Kill 25 enemies without the laser sight

This achievement requires you to go into the Options (either from the main menu or pause menu) and turn off Laser Sight. This turns off the laser sight that you'd normally have helping you assist with aiming. As the description says, kill a cumulative total of 25 enemies with Laser Sight turned off to unlock this achievement.

Secret achievements

  • Beat the Stock Gauntlet and join The Clip

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This will unlock upon beating the boss at the end of the tutorial area.
  • Complete the Firearm Foundry

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Firearm Foundry is the intended first dungeon of the game. It's accessed by heading south to the beach, then heading east until you find a big cave opening. Inside, the dragon will fly out and to Firearm Foundry. Now head north to the red X on your map to access the building/dungeon. In this dungeon, you'll want to get Why Run When You Can Stand Still? (15G) on the various conveyor belts.

The new gun in this dungeon, Mortar Launcher, is story related and can't be missed.

The boss is an auto-scroller fight. Shoot at the red Xs on its wings until it reveals its heart, then shoot that to damage it. Avoid its fire breath and the enemies flying around, and the fight should be over pretty quickly.
  • Complete the Shimmer Lode Mine

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Shimmer Lode Mine is the intended second dungeon of the game. It's accessed by heading southwest to the mine area. Once there, talk to the miner and you'll be told you need three explosives to access the dungeon. These are located in regular chests around the area, and are marked on your map. Collect them all, then head back to the miner, who is now at the northernmost point of the mines. He'll blast a hole and let you in. In this dungeon, you'll want to get Sergeant Angle (15G) with all the reflective surfaces. It's actually likely to come naturally..

The new gun in this dungeon, Mini Uzis, is actually not story related. You can revisit the dungeon whenever you want, if you miss it though. It's located in a chest in the northeastern corner of the top floor (1F), which is also the floor you start on. Head to the upper right room, and you'll have to fight off a large amount of enemies. Defeating them all opens the door to the chest with this gun.

The boss has two phases. The first is short, and requires you to shoot the minecart at the top of the room along its track to the end, quickly, so it explodes on the crystals around the boss. Once done, the second phase starts where you can actually damage the boss. He just throws out dynamite every so often, and it explodes in an extended plus-sign pattern, so be careful of that. Otherwise, just keep shooting him and the enemies that spawn.
  • Complete the Snapfrost Dungeon

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Snapfrost Dungeon is the third dungeon of the game. It's accessed by heading southeast to the mountain area. Once there, you need to ascend the mountain. At the halfway point, it gets cold to the point where you need to rush from fire to fire to stay warm. This can be a bit of a pain, but keep dashing and you'll reach the top. Note that the ice block enemies along the way are currently indestructible, but they also can't hurt you. In this dungeon, you'll want to make sure to get Friendly Fire (15G).

The new gun in this dungeon, Fire Lance, is story related. You need to collect it to be able to melt all the ice blocks around the dungeon.

The boss is just a duel, but it can be a bit annoying with all the fire burning you. The most important thing to stay conscious of is the wave of flames that'll come at your periodically. They go across the entire arena without fading out, and the only way to avoid them is to dash through them. Other than that, focus fire on her. You should have a fully upgraded gun by now to make this quicker.
  • Receive the Norsou Potion

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

After completing the first three dungeons above, return to your mom in the church area, then go to the potion shop to get the Norsou Potion, allowing you to access the north half of the map.
  • Escape the Nuxvarr cell

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

After crossing the barrier into the northern half of the map, you'll be captured and taken prisoner. Simply head up through the open window to escape, unlocking this achievement.
  • Complete the Floating Pavilion

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Floating Pavilion is the intended fourth dungeon of the game. It's accessed by heading to the far northeast corner of the map, to the bridge there. Nothing special is required to access this dungeon. In this dungeon, you'll want to get Safety Hazard (15G). It's actually likely to come naturally, but use the fans to your advantage to make sure you get it...

The new gun in this dungeon, Telescopic Shooter, is technically not story related, I think, since it isn't needed to progress, but it is literally right in front of your on the story path, so it's basically impossible to miss..

No boss fight here, just an escape sequence. You can ignore enemies and just dash along the only available path. There is plenty of time to get to the end, so don't stress about it.
  • Complete the Old Nux Castle

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Old Nux Castle is the intended fifth dungeon of the game. It's accessed by heading to the giant castle in the northwest. Once there, you need to lower the drawbridge by heading up along the right side of the castle, around the back, down to the front, to the switch that lowers the bridge. In this dungeon, you'll want to get Who's Afraid Of The Dark? (15G). I don't see how it's possible to complete this dungeon without getting this achievement, since the whole thing is dark and you'll constantly be shooting at enemies outside of your light around you...

The new gun in this dungeon, Thunderer, is not story related. You can revisit the dungeon whenever you want, if you miss it though. It's located in a chest just south of the teleporter on the top floor.

The boss is only vulnerable when it's in the light. So, you'll need to shoot a switch to light a fire, then unload on him when he's in the light. When the fire goes out, shoot the switch and repeat the process. You can even use the fire as a barrier to protect from projectiles, making this a pretty easy fight.
  • Embrace the power of magic

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

After completing the two dungeons above, head to the Ruins in the far north, and when you break the barrier you'll unlock this achievement.
  • Defeat the Man in Black

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This is the final boss of the game, and there are a massive four phases.

The first two phases are just you against him on the ground, head to head. He has an annoying deflector on him that pushes your bullets away, but it doesn't take much damage to finish off each phase, thankfully.

The third phase is a broomstick section. Shoot all the stuff around him, then shoot him when he's vulnerable.

The fourth and final phase is him in a robot. He's only vulnerable after either smashing on the ground or after shooting his missiles. Be ready to strike each time he's vulnerable. Otherwise, dodge projectiles and shoot the things on the ground that are forming electricity barriers.
  • Finish the game

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

After beating the final boss, there's just a bunch of dialogue until you reach the credits, unlocking this achievement.
  • Catch up with all your old friends and acquaintances

    This is a post-game achievement.

After beating the game, let the credits roll (you can hold down on the thumbstick to speed them up). When they're done, you'll be back at your house with the task to talk to old friends to see what has changed. Each person you need to talk to is marked on your map with a red X. Simply head to each one and talk to them all to unlock this achievement.
  • Receive your first weapon from the Ordnance Rift

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

You'll receive your first gun only a couple minutes into the game, unlocking this achievement.
  • Unlock the Battle Blaster

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

During the tutorial section, you'll come to a big chest with the Battle Blaster.
  • Unlock the Mortar Launcher

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

During the first dungeon, Firearm Foundry, you'll come to a big chest with the Mortar Launcher.
  • Unlock the Dual Mini Blasters

This weapon isn't actually story related.

It is located in the second dungeon, Shimmer Lode Mine. On the first floor you arrive on (1F), this weapon is in a chest in the northeast corner. You'll need to fight a large wave of enemies to open the door, and then this weapon is yours.
  • Unlock the Fire Lance

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

During the third dungeon, Snapfrost Dungeon, you will eventually come to this weapon, which is required to melt all the ice blocks so you can progress.
  • Unlock the Heavy Blaster

The Heavy Blaster is found in a chest in the Arena building. It's the big white building north of the goblin village. Head inside and claim your weapon.
  • Unlock the Telescopic Shooter

This weapon isn't actually story related.

It is located in the fourth dungeon, Floating Pavilion. Despite not being needed for story progression, it's right on your path and essentially impossible to miss.
  • Unlock the Thunderer

This weapon isn't actually story related.

It is located in the fifth dungeon, Old Nux Castle. On the top floor (3F), you'll come to a teleporter in the middle. This weapon is located in a chest just south of the teleporter.
  • Unlock the mysterious firearm

I believe this has been patched to be story-related and unmissable. It is located in the final dungeon of the game, called "???," which cannot be revisited. Reports are that you must open this weapon chest before finishing the dungeon or you'll miss it. However, when I played the game (some time after its release), when I entered the room with this gun, which is an unmissable room, a cutscene was triggered, automatically giving me the gun. I therefore believe that this achievement is now story related and can't be missed.
  • Use the Wayfarer's Stone

At the end of the tutorial section, you'll be given the Wayfarer's Stone. Basically, any time you're in the overworld, you can hold button-x.png on the map screen to teleport to your house. Do this for the first time to unlock this achievement.
