Introduction
*WARNING* "Picture This" has been discontinued and can no longer been unlocked.

uDraw Instant Artist is the "free" game you get with the purchase of the uDraw Game Tablet. The achievements for this game can be broken down in to two parts.

  • Basic 'Art' Achievements for 660
  • 'Mini Game' Achievements for 340

Basic 'Art' Achievements
They should only take 2-3 hours to unlock them all. They are all pretty much the "click to get" achievements, requiring zero (if any) skill to get.

'Mini Game' Achievements
Most of them require very little skill, but a couple of them will take more than a few tries to get.

Conclusion
None of these achievements are overly difficult. It will take a bit of time to adapt to using the uDraw game tablet. It's not a bad controller, just different.

  • Complete Level 1 in the Alien Splat Game

    See Sizzling Splatter achievement description.

  • Completed Level 10 in the Alien Splat Game

This is easily one of the 2 toughest achievements for the game. And it needs to be done in one sitting as well, as you can NOT save your progress, and continue from where you left off later on.

Here are some tips for how to survive while working your way to beating level 10:

    • Get the extra lives. You'll need em.
    • Watch your progress meter (top right), when the yellow is filled in almost all the way to the top, your nearly at the final boss.
    • On your way to the final boss, on the later levels, there are 4 different kind of (baby) aliens / objects you need to smash in order to make your way to the final boss (listed in order of to be smashed priority).
      • Yellow Alien Shoots 1 drop at a time directly at you. It does this 5 times, then moves off the canvas. Usually they either shoot all of them somewhat rapidly, or each of them longer apart from each other. If you can, smash these first! (levels 4+)
      • Blue Alien Shoots 4 drops at the same time, but always in the same direction (up, down, left, right). After the shot, they move off the screen. (levels 3+)
      • Space Ship Just wanders around slowly, for a while. Then it flashes red a few times, and blows up. When it blows up, it will take one of your lives. So if its flashing more than a couple times, move to the other side of the canvas and wait for it to blow up. (levels 2+)
      • Green Alien Harmless. Just wanders around aimlessly for a while, then moves off the canvas. (levels 1+)
    • Tips for defeating the alien boss at the end of each level:
      • Move the swatter to the opposite corner of the screen from the alien boss, and after it shoots, dodge the shots, and smash it.
      • Also, I found it to be easiest to move the swatter directly to the right of the boss (I'm right handed), so when he shoots, the straight left shot will go directly behind the swatter & above the hand (while the angled shot goes below the hand). After he shoots, move quickly to the left, and smash him, then move back to the right canvas edge. repeat.
      • As the level progress (1-10) the alien boss needs a few more smashes. There is a red meter on the right side of the screen to indicate the Alien boss's health.
  • Obtain 6 lives in the Alien Splat Game

You should hopefully get this while either getting to level 10, or while going for Splat Maniac.

To earn extra lives just smash the little face that appears from time to time. Do it quickly, as they only stop for a very short time, and they move FAST!Also, extra lives do not appear to smash until you are playing levels 2+, and the most lives you can have at one time is six, so after you get six, you don't need to try for any more until you lose one.

  • Complete 2 Levels in a row without losing a Life in the Alien Splat Game

Probably the hardest achievement of the game. Definitely do this on the first two levels, as it will be the easiest. If you get hit by one of the Aliens (boss) shots, you lose a life, and will need to start over.

It has been reported that restarting the level is seen as losing a life, so you must 'Quit' and start again.

    See Sizzling Splatter for tips.

  • Complete Level 1 in the Tilt Maze Game

    See Maze Master achievement description.

  • Complete Level 10 in the Tilt Maze Game

    See Maze Master achievement description.

  • Complete a Tilt Maze in 60 seconds

You should get this after completing level 1 of the tilt-maze(s).The 1st 10 mazes have a solid floor, so you can't lose the ball!

  • Complete all 40 Tilt Mazes with a total time of less than 40 minutes

Should be pretty easy, as you can jump to any level you want, it tells you your previous best time. So if you see a time you think you can do better, just retry the level, it only uses your best time to add up the total time. You get unlimited retries too. So if you lose the (paint)ball, just keep retrying the level. Just go slow! Be sure and use maze corners to take a break for a few seconds. You are timed, but you have a very generous time for the ball to run out of paint and begin shrinking. The ball gets large again after you run over the next color.

  • Complete Level 1 in the Tilt Painting Challenge Game

    See Challenge Champ achievement description.

  • Complete Level 3 in the Tilt Painting Challenge Game

    See Challenge Champ achievement description.

  • Complete Level 5 in the Tilt Painting Challenge Game

This was a tiny bit tricky on the later levels, but not hard by any means.

    Here are some tips:

    • Just go slow. There is a timer to hit the next color, but it is VERY generous.
    • Use the edges of the area (square). A hole would rarely show up close enough to the edge that would cause you to lose. And many of the next colors would show up next to the edges so that you rarely had to even move the ball toward the center of the paint surface (square).
    • Look at the meter to tell you how far along you are. In the upper right of the screen, there is a progress meter. It isn't obvious, or even that great. But it does work. After a few colors the meter filled in a bit more of the yellow indicator. It starts at the bottom, and moves (clockwise) up the left side.
  • Use all the colors in the Palette Wheel in Tilt Painting Freeplay Mode

From the Main Menu, choose 'Art Camp', then 'Tilt Coloring'. Once the blank canvas opens up, watch the ink ball draw some paint on the screen, then push and tap the pen on the drawing pad, repeat those two steps until you have gone thorough all the colors, and achievement will pop after cycling through all the colors.

  • Watch a Slideshow of your Gallery Paintings

Go to 'Gallery', load any of the locations. Once it has loaded, choose 'Options'  > 'Slideshow'.

  • Export a Painting

    (7)

This Achievement has been discontinued and can no longer be unlocked.

  • Activate the Lock Palette feature

Just lock the 'Color Palette' while in a drawing (the bottom right 'lock' button on the screen).

  • Save a Painting with all of the Different Canvas Types

Load up a blank canvas from the Main Menu -> 'Art Play', make a mark, open the 'Options Menu', choose 'Save'. Repeat 10 more times with a unique Canvas Type each time, and this is yours. There are 11 different Canvas Types.

Also, while you have a Canvas open, you should probably grab many other brush type / color palette / etc achievements as well.

  • Drag and Drop a basic color into the Palette Wheel

While in a drawing hover click on the currently active color (left color above the color wheel). When the color swatch appears at the top of the screen, just drag one of the (predefined) custom colors down on to the color wheel.

  • Select a Different Stroke Mode in the Brushstroke Menu

While in a drawing click on the currently active tool (top right w/green background), and choose one of the different brush strokes.
