505 Games and developer Ingame Studios have announced that Crime Boss: Rockay City will be making the jump to consoles next week. Billed as an ‘Organized Crime live-service shooter’, the game features a star-studded cast and action-packed set pieces.

With the likes of Michael Madsen, Chuck Norris, Danny Trejo, Kim Basinger, Danny Glover, Michael Rooker, Damion Poiter and Vanilla Ice listed among its cavalcade of Hollywood stars, you can also expect plenty of callbacks to 1990s crime movies.

Playing as Travis Baker (Madsen), you'll face overwhelming odds in an explosive turf war to become criminal underworld kingpin. Each mission can be tackled in any way you like, as you take over Rockay City one region at a time. The game also includes two co-op modes, so you can enlist help with your criminal endeavours.

Crime Boss: Rockay City will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 as a digital release on 15th June, with a physical version (bundling the game's first weapons pack) will be arriving from 5th September. Check out the new console trailer below.

  • Is calling a game “Live Service” just the new way of saying minimum content?
  • If this isn't ass, I'll be surprised.
  • I'll be picking it up at some point. So the gameplay I've seen since it released on PC has been pretty decent.
  • Just watched some gameplay, doesn’t look terrible. Only thing I didn’t like was the person talking to the 4 people over a radio piece they all had. Essentially a “Mom” figure from 007 movies

The voice actor they chose for it, was pretty irritating in the short video I watched lol
  • @1

Minimum content to be added over a long period of time, a focus on continual engagement(FOMO), and a heavy emphasis on micro transactions. That is what it means to me, and usually means I put my jaded glasses on
  • @Dirty130 yeah game been out on PC for a while and it is cheeks not worth a purchase
  • Everything I've heard about this game is that it is terrible.
  • @rainith ok? play it for yourself and form your own opinion. LOL
  • Watched Critical play this. Doesn't look good in anyway.
  • @Kris so that means everyone should go and buy Gollum, right?
