Actor Lance Reddick, who voiced Commander Zavala (pictured) in Destiny 2, and was well-known for his work on hit TV shows like The Wire, Fringe, and Bosch, as well as movie roles like John Wick, Angel Has Fallen, and Godzilla vs. Kong, has passed away aged 60.

According to TMZ and Variety, Reddick died of natural causes and was found at his Studio City home in LA, yesterday morning. He played Charon in the John Wick series, and reprised his role in the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4, due to release in cinemas from next week.

He's perhaps best known as the hard-nosed Lt. Cedric Daniels in The Wire, but starred in multiple other video game roles, including Quantum Break, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Horizon Forbidden West, and starred as Albert Wesker in Netflix's short-lived adaptation of Resident Evil.

Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reddick, and his two children Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.

  • Well, shit.

    Gonna miss his sexy voice.

To think one of his last performances was that crappy netflix Resident Evil series. At least he got to make another John Wick so can go out on a high note.
  • Rest in peace Lance Reddick. I loved his antagonist role in Quantum Break. Such a brilliant performance. But casting him as the blonde white supervillian Albert Wesker was absolutely atrocious and ridiculous. I am very glad that piece of sh#% Netflix's Resident Evil series was rejected by the public.
  • Natural causes at 60.....eeep.
  • @#2 Not having him white didn't bother me, I thought he was decent as Wesker, better than the actor who played him in the movies anyway but yeah, the Netflix series was absolute shite, glad it got cancelled, same with Willow, glad that's been cancelled aswell.
  • @4 it bothered me because Wesker represented White Supremacy. He literally talks about his superior genetics and plans to release a virus that will kill all inferior people in RE5, causing the 'worthy' to be turned into gods.

Having a black man play that part took the entire element of what Wesker represented out, and made it generic. The bad guy was always supposed to have the 'Aryan' look in Wesker, that was the point, to fight that evil of White Supremacy.
  • This death really sucks, I enjoyed the hell out of everything he was in and he seemed to have a great sense of humor, as well fully into his VA roles.

I had just decided to watch the John Wick movies before the new one coming and literally hours before his death was announced, I was thinking to myself how awesome he was.
  • Seems kind of wild to me that on a post about the tragically early death of someone it took all of two comments to take it to a place about race.

Just say RIP or like, nothing at all.

The guy was a hell of an actor with an incredible voice. Terrible to hear this about someone only 60.
