Developer Blue Isle Studios - makers of 2016 first-person shooter, Valley - has announced that LEAP, its next FPS foray, will be coming to Xbox and PlayStation next month, bringing with it custom private servers and user-created mods.

As well as the aforementioned, LEAP will also release with a “diverse array” of maps and modes, while a “robust” roadmap promises a steady stram of official and user-generated post-launch content. LEAP features a hoverboard and grapple hook for traversal, as well as the ability to make your own map, mode, or weapon in the ‘LEAP Design Works’.

Everything from vehicle physics to weapon skins and designs can be modded, alongside the ability to build maps and character skins from scratch. You can also choose from four different hero classes, with their own balance of power, agility, and defence attributes, as well as their own ‘epic’ abilities.

LEAP will be heading to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on 1st March, with a planned PvP ‘Capture the Core’ mode and ‘Dreadnought’ hangar map coming soon after launch.

  • I give it until June 2023…
  • Surely the user-created content will give it some longevity? So, July?
