I love Ichibam but couldn’t care less for main stream character. Can I still play this, story wise, or will some things be lost on me…?

SEGA and RGG Studio have released a huge batch of new screenshots for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, ahead of the turn-based RPG sequel's launch in January 2024.
The new images showcase the game's eclectic cast of characters and some of the exotic environments you'll visit, including what looks like a brief sojourn in Ijincho, Yokohama, alongside a lovely holiday in Hawaii. It's here that you'll build your DonDoko Island settlement, Animal Crossing style.
Returning as “unstoppable underdog” Ichiban Kasuga, you'll team up with Kazuma Kiryu in the wake of the events of Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Expect more off-the-wall unique RPG combat, and the usual brand of drama the series is famed for.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 26th January 2024, with pre-orders granting the Hero’s Booster & Special Job Bundle, enabling you to level up faster and play using the Linebacker and Tennis Ace jobs.
