THQ has today confirmed that the Homefront: Ultimate Edition, which bundles the full game with all of its DLC released to date (not that there's likely to be any more coming), will be releasing at the tailend of March, approximately a year since the game was originally released.

Coming to the Xbox 360 Classics range, the Homefront: Ultimate Edition will retail for a recommended retail price of £19.99/€24.99, and will come with 'The Rock' and 'Fire Sale' map packs as well as the 870 Express Shotgun.

You'll be able to get your mitts on the Homefront: Ultimate Edition on March 23rd in Europe at the aforementioned budget price. It's worth a punt too, offering a decent multiplayer mode with plenty of guns, vehicles and gadgets.

  • this game must be awesome to have an Ultimate Edition!
  • Ultimate editions should be kept for games of quality. What a pile of shit this was. Though I agree the multiplayer had some reedeming fetures. Its clutching at straws.
  • The only good thing about that game was the story.... The visuals wud hav bn excellent if it wasnt so buggy!!
  • Meh, will pick it up sometime when I've burned through the other dozen or so games I have on my shelf.
  • Just a bad game. While the story-line was pretty good, the rest was blah. The only thing keeping me from not finishing that game was the achievements. Gotta love me some achievements...
  • Cool, now all the people who buy this won't be able to find games online either. Seriously guys, avoid this.
  • This game had a lot of potential, but fell flat on its face. Im sure Homefront 2 will be much better since Crytek is making it.
  • I think the MP has missed the boat now with MW3 and BF3 being out. I like the MP in Homefront, but it wasn't fixed in over two weeks post launch and lost a lot of players, like me. A good game though.
  • Dang. I just got it off eBay for a decent price the other day. Oh well. Such is life.
  • Should of been a single player only game. The multiplayer was absolutely horrible from the very first day of release. The single player was at least decent for the most part except for the fact that it was too short.
  • North America?
  • Blah blah blah Capcom blah blah blah rip off blah blah blah I'll wait for the 'Super Ultimate' edition with all the costumes. Sheep
  • Um. Right article?
  • Awesome! I'll get a good hours worth of gameplay out of this. Did you detect my sarcasm?
  • Flogging a dead horse.
  • Was thinking about getting this as I never got round to buying it when it first came out. But looking at all your comments think I mite just be wasting my money. Is it really as bad as you guys say it is?
  • How much do you want for it?
  • No buy sorry THQ because it is too much MP mode DLCs :):) I wait for Homefront 2 if ever release in future. Cheers THQ :)
  • Yea right.. Not buying this PoS
  • If I didnt already have a copy of this game I would consider buying this with all the DLC included. However, there is no achievements associated with those levels so I do not see the need in spending the extra money.
  • Any US release plans? I wouldn't mind getting this. I really loved the MP demo but I never got the game. It's like a mix between Battlefield and Call of Duty and that was pretty fun for me.
  • Great Story it has, but the campaign is too short. But it's a fun game, the game doesn't need to have graphics for it to be fun, GTA San Andreas didn't have graphics and it was an amazing game.
  • @16 no its not that bad at all, most of the negative comments are from people that probably wouldn't know a good game if it smacked them in the face, and @14 the whole point of sarcasm being funny is so that you don't actually have to explain that you are being sarcastic. That said you might be better off looking for a cheaper copy than this if you are planning on just playing single player, as no-one will be playing it online.
  • Fook, just bought the game in the Bargin Bin :(
  • I thought this game was ok but the main campaign was way too short. Multiplayer though had its moments. As for an Ultimate Edition though ... err what was the DLC?
  • I love these ultimate edition games. I got the Fallout 3 ultimate edition when it came out and saved $50. I might consider buying this one too because of the deal.
  • never played this game... should i get this ultimate edition?
  • Is there just 2 DLC packs for this game? I have the game and havent played it yet but Im thinking I could get the maps for cheaper on DOTW.
  • This game was so friggin' horrible
  • Nope.
  • I loved the MP... than I played Battlefield 3
  • To be fair, this game actually had a pretty nice MP mode. I sunk a fair amount of time into it. All the people who complain about the MP are those who sold it before the MP fixes came out. And the MP is still going strong. I'm still able to get into non-laggy, full MP games, and will definitely put my copy of Homefront in the tray when this comes out so I can play the DLC maps I bought (DLC playlists are currently dead) For this price, it's worth it. The campaign is short and is very repetitive (Large firefight, little bito f story, large firefight, etc) but the MP is worth it. It's like BF mixed with COD.
  • sp was pretty good and mp was original too (you had to work for your killstreak rewards and none of em were really overpowered) This certainly deserves a sequel, but they have to put more focus on sp and just make sure that the mp works (bugs, glitches, exploits, ...)
  • Never picked up Homefront, never will considering everyone says it's shit and the fact that BF3 is better, but I hope HF2 can be on the same level as BF so it will be between them 2, NOT shitty COD which doesn't even compare to BF
  • Still not worth it!
  • If this is getting an Ultimate Edition, they may as well make a GOTY for Duke Nukem too. Pointless, was barely worth the rental. Best thing I can say about Homefront was it had some very good trailers before it released.
  • There was DLC?
  • @36 You can't make a game of the year edition for a game that didn't win GOTY. There are no ultimate awards that are given out. They call it Ultimate because it is the full package, the retail game plus any DLC that came out. Fallout did it. Just because it says Ultimate isn't implying that the game is the best or even good. Just that it is the complete package.
  • I'll get it when this version hits the bargain bin. ;)
  • There are plenty of games with GOTY releases that didn't win GOTY first of all second of all my comment was a joke. Enjoy being stupid.
  • @40 Name 1 game that released with the GOTY title that didn't win that award... There are plenty of sites and magazines, lots you don't know of, that likely give it a GOTY title. He's not being stupid, he's informed. You're just ignorant.
  • You gotta wonder if they're doing this to make up for its catastrophic failure by seeing if they can sucker a few more people into buying it. I can't imagine that they made more money in sales than the game costed to be made
  • For completionists is it even possible to get a MP game at this point, or has every one moved on to other games?
  • Wow, I don't what's more disturbing, the classic best seller part or the ultimate edition re-release part.
  • i never played it...may b oneday...
  • The only good thing this game had going for it was Best Buy giving away red headsets when you preordered the game there lol
  • ohh...what potential you had Homefront.
  • I'd rather they give Saint's Row 2 the "re-release with DLC" treatment to be honest...
  • @16 I liked the single player and the MP, for those saying the single player was too short at least it didn't get boring before it was over like most military FPS, I believe it was initially supposed to have 5 single player dlcs, but I guess THQ fucked that up. And the MP was awesome, different enough to be a good rival for COD without all the cheats.
  • I played the first couple missions, but I didn't care for it do I returned it.
  • I liked the singleplayer and loved the multiplayer. In my opinion, its an underrated game.
  • #42 What are you talking about. I'm pretty sure that this game sold like 2.6 million copies, which is fantastic for a new IP.
  • I'd ignore the haters. If more gamers actually understood quality games, Call of Duty wouldn't sell so much. One man's quality is another's rubbish I guess. If you haven't picked up this game ignore the fools posting about how bad it is and give it a try. The muliplayer is quite fun, even if you're a camping "sniper". The vehicles have less of a learning curve than BF3 and the multiplayer is still active despite what the haters would like you to believe. The story was good and has great potential for a sequel. For a new IP it was pretty good. Fun game for sure.
  • Liked the MP, but thought that the campain was way too short. If this is close to the retail in Canada than its worth it at that price.
