Cyanide Studio's Game of Thrones RPG may be visiting locations familiar to fans of the books and TV series, but that doesn’t mean it can’t introduce a few of its own. Castlewood is one such place, as displayed in these brooding new screenshots.

“The township of Castlewood will be one of the many places the two heroes of the game – Mors, sworn brother of the Night's Watch, and Alester, the Red Priest – will explore and fight through,” says the accompanying release.

“From King’s Landing and Red Keep to the Wall, an Epic quest awaits our heroes, guided by revenge, loyalty, honor, and family, along a twisting plot filled with betrayal and vicious hardships.”

Check out the six new screens below. Game of Thrones is out on May 15th, 2012.

  • You can play as a Brother of the Night's Watch ? Wow. Now I'm interested. Will this have co-op ? Is this a game à la Witcher 2 ? So it's true.. what they say.. Winter is coming.
  • Looks really nice!
  • i dunno if i wanna buy it, more then likely get it on release or borrow a friends
  • i see it being a 5 or 6 out of 10 review, tho i do have high hopes for it, and il get it anyways lol
  • Cannot wait for this... should have torn myself away from Dark Souls by May!
  • So glad about the rising of RPG's. More and more keep coming out and I love them all.
  • And yet no gameplay shots...shocking.
  • @7 Look again. These ARE gameplay shots. You can see a selection ring in the 5th picture.
  • Sorry, Game of Thrones RPG, The Witcher 2.
  • I love the books and show, so i may just have to pick this up.
  • For a moment I was desperately trying to remember where Castlewood was, as it didn't ring any bells. Then I read the article to discover it's new. Still on the fence about this one.
  • There's one instance where that saying is not true: Ontario this year. We've had very little snow, that which did come down very promptly melted in a fit of anger over it not getting farther below freezing. Winter did not come.
  • Still waiting for Six Feet Under the video game
  • Where are the boobs?
  • Please be good.
  • @13 haha... priceless
  • Was hoping to get this but i don't see it for pre-order in the UK anywhere.
  • @6 Same man, this year (already) has so many good games coming out!
  • Hope it lives up to the quality of books it's based on! If it is then it should be very good
  • It does not strike me as anything too exciting. Will keep an eye, but will most likely end up with pretty mediocre scores...
