Capcom has released the first trailer for upcoming high-def polish up, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver.

A 2D fighter originally released on the late, great SEGA Dreamcast, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. is based on the Japanese anime, retaining all the original gameplay but adding HD visuals and a bunch of cool features.

There’s a brand new online matching system, as well as a Battle Points system contributing to your leaderboard position. In addition to this, there will also be an eight-player, winner-stays-on multiplayer lobby with a spectator mode, as well as replay sharing. Sounds good!

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. hits XBLA on August 22nd for 1600 Microsoft Points. Vid’s below.

  • This could have as many features as it likes. Shit, it could make my xbox fly around the room singing the national anthem. At 1600 Capcom can forget it.
  • 1600? Lol no thanks.
  • @1 Know what? I didn't even notice that. I love this game, but 1600 is a bit steep.
  • @3 Id say iv bought every 2d fighter on XBLA. Iv never played this and would love too. Im just not buying into this price margin. Im sure im not the only one, Which will heavily reduce the online aspect of it.
  • Like Arron I pick up most of the 2D fighters they release on Live - I wont be buying this for 1600 though, no chance. I'll wait for the inevitable sale and grab it reduced though!
  • I also buy all the fighting games on XBLA and will be skipping this due to the 1600msp price tag. It's not because im poor or a tight ass because im not i just don't want to support this price tag as it shows Capcom that we will pay this much & all there future releases will be set at the new standard of 1600msp. :/
  • I'll get the trial and base my purchase on that. I can see me leaving the trial on my HDD until it becomes available at a reduced price down the track though..
  • Seems cool... Wont be buying it right away though at 1600 points.
  • With Garou: Mark of the Wolves for 800 points and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Skullgirls & Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown available for 1200 each, what does Jojo's Bizarre Adventure bring to the table for 1600?
  • I wish they would stop saying these are HD. It's not! It's upscaled and filtered. If it were HD it would be worth it. Poo on a shoe. Still a good game though.
  • @7- Massive Idiot strikes again..
  • It's funny how I've almost bought every single Capcom fighting game on Dreamcast except for this one. Stores really didn't have it around in Cleveland, OH. Anyway 1600 points for a game that wasn't that popular like MVC2 is severely steep. When the price comes down, I will be getting it as I've been waiting years to play it. Now I'm not trying to troll, but I have difficulty seeing the difference in the HD versus the standard. It looks the same to me.
  • This is one of the few games I missed on Dreamcast, but 1600 really is too steep considering what else is available at lower price points. It looks good, but just not competitive.
  • @11 It is HD. HD is high definition. Is this HD remake in high definition? Yes. Yes it is. So is it HD? Why yes, it is!
  • the problem with this is that capcom is makin git. they want $20 for the game then they will want another $150 for all the costume and levels and BGM and color option and stuff that shoudl rightfully be included in teh game in the first place to make it worth spending your time playing. I used to love capcom but lately ive been disapointed more often than not. preording marvel vs capcom then having them release UMVC like 9 months later was pretty bad espically since they effectivly split the pool of online players. but the recent tekken VS street fighter has been insulting. every week they come out with new costuem colors and more BGM and stuff and was like 3-10 bucks a piece for it. just sad and really show that they could care less about their conumers. ill pass on this one
  • Although it is HD, it doesn't really look much better than the original. Regardless, I wouldn't pay that much for it.
  • Also @15 i think that @11 was stating (and correctly IMO) that the game is a 2d fighter made from 64 bit graphics. meanign that its just pixels unless they redid the whoel game with new in game art then no matter how you sharpen up the image there just isint the detail there in the first place to make it HD. An HD pixel is still just a well defined square. @11 is stating that all they did was run it through some photo editin gfilters to sharpen the image and mabye clean up some of the distortion or image noise but its not really Hd and its sucks they are selling it as such.
  • Had this on the Dreamcast back in the day, Quite a fun game & was looking forward to picking it up until i saw it was 1600 points. Going to give this a miss until it drops in price or ends up in a deal of the week.
  • I'd buy it if they included both JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 1 & 2 as the second one was way better but 1600 for the first one is just wrong. Why don't they release Rival Schools or Tech Romancer or Cannon Spike in HD?
  • Looks super gay.
  • No at 1600 points for me either. If it would be a complete remade game like "SSF2THD", it might worth the price but it's not. I think game ports like that shouldn't cost more than 800 points (even if they add a few things like online game and such, it's more a port than a remake), especially when it's not a really famous one. The only fighting game I would rather be okay to buy at 1600 points is Capcom vs SNK, if it can motive them to release it.
