I really hope for another game similar to Arkham City. Whever it's a prequel or not I don't mind, just give me more Batman!Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:24 AM
I like "Batman: Arkham Arises".Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:31 AM
Please no god awful 50s crap! The 2 Arkham games so far have been, to me, the ultimate version of Batman. No one want to see Batman do the batusi (well, actually...)!Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:31 AM
I'm surprised they dodged my YouTube series' name - "Arkham City Nights"Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:34 AM
@#1 Rocksteady did a great job with Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, why start doubting them now? I trust them with my favourite franchise and I reckon they will do a class job of their next Batman game.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:34 AM
Definatley sounds like a prequel with the domain names that rocksteady is registering.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:44 AM
Arkham Galaxy Ultra Deluxe University Island: Revenge of the Joker!Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:46 AM
@6 because to much of a good thing never lasts . I'm being realistic not doubtful . I remember cod 4Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:51 AM
Drop the "Arkham" already! We like your games. Go dark and give us batman hushMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:01 AM
i want the next Batman played by Adam West... Awesome idea no?Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:02 AM
@9 Why are you comparing CoD to Batman? Both are totally different games. Both are published and developed by different companies.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:02 AM
To be fair, most of these are never intended to be used. They're either to keep their naming options open in the future, or stop anyone else from securing those domain names.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:14 AM
This could be for the reboot film so don't get your hopes up because they are going with a idea like arkham asylum if rumours are true so with a shit end film which I will not see because my heart was broken with the last airbender and dragonball evolution but hope arisesMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:19 AM
Trust me, Batman in the Silver Age can be done well. Go read Grant Morrison's Batman for proof.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 07:29 AM
Give me silver age Batman origins, but only voiced by Adam West.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:00 AM
i really want rocksteady to make a batman beyond game.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:07 AM
@12 . I'm sharing a concept ; irrespective of the details . It's how you draw critical anyalsis . Great response by the way , well worth my time .Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:11 AM
@1 as long as they put 2-3 years between the games then i think that'll be fine...Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:21 AM
I would love to have a 1950s style Batman arkham-ish game!!Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:32 AM
God no please don't do 50's style. We have had decades of progress don't go back. Batman survived the 50's by the skin of his bat-balls. It will be camp, knowing and light weight. Please God strike them down and don't allow it to happen.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 08:34 AM
I don't mind whichever new Batman game name from Rocksteady as long as Rocksteady bring another delivery Batman great game again. Rocksteady is one of best developer.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 09:05 AM
look forward to a new batman game thats for sure. definitely two of the best games i played this generation. was never really a batman fan either till i played the games. :)Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 09:23 AM
as long as rocksteady are still making it i will keep buying it as it has been good so farMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 10:08 AM
Arkham City sequel pleaseMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 10:17 AM
I'm not sure where the series can go after Arkham City. Maybe Rocksteady knows this and, not wanting to miss out on that sweet Batman-based revenue, decided a prequel story is the only way to go. In that case, apart from showing an amazing level of foresight not seen by developers, they are doing the right thing and I am SO in for this one.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 10:39 AM
Open world Batman. Start off in Wayne Manor/Batcave. Get missions via Batcomputer/Gordon. Cruise town in the Batmobile/Batcycle/Batwing/Batboat. Co-Op w/ Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Huntress, or Green Arrow (similar unpowered heroes relying on fighting abilities or items). RPG elements as you level up. Unlockable Batman costumes from past and current. Gadgets galore. Batman has one of the richest rogues' galleries to choose from (along with Spider-Man and The Flash). Put them to good use and have 20-30 archvillains in there.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 10:45 AM
@27 - They've done most of that, its called LEGO batman lol. I loved AA and I currently have AC to play so I certainly wouldn't mind if they did another, prequel or sequel reallyMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 10:51 AM
They should do batman: Arkham Asylum for LEGO Batman 3. :)Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 12:09 PM
Don't really think they should do another game with Joker, even though he's my favorite villain, simply because if Mark Hamill doesn't do the voice work, it's simply not the joker. ok...MAYBE if they got John DiMaggio, as he did a bang up job on Under the Red Hood, but that would still be pushing it for me.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 01:25 PM
@30 Hamill said he's done with Joker unless the right scropt was presented. Honestly, I think he said that to throw people off. I bet Rocksteady has been working on something AWESOME and he's been in the loop. Yes, John "Bender Marcus" DiMaggio did a good job with Red Hood, but he's no Hamill. Anyway. Rocksteady. Shut Up and Take My Money!Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 01:31 PM
I like how they use so many different villains in each game. I'm not a batman fan, so it's interesting to learn about all of them.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 02:51 PM
Absolute trollage #1 haha always pissing off someone btw next batman will be in another island forget the name it's on a wall at back of arkham city dr strange mentions it alsoMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 03:38 PM
@8 No... just noMonday, January 14, 2013 @ 04:43 PM
That would be awesome if there were more Batman games.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:09 PM
better be a new one, they left so many cliffhangers in AC that i thought it would be for future DLC, but i guess they will finish it up in a new game.Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 06:58 PM
For those afraid that the silver age setting would mean a campy story, don't. They aren't going to take out the edge, the Comics Code Authority ruined Batman for a long time (the original comic was dark, then some idiot wrote a book about how comics were evil that is complete BS that everyone believed, similar to what is going on now with violence in videogames/movies). They won't be making a campy game, they will tell a story where Batman is just starting out as more of a loner vigilante. No connection to the League, no giant Batman family (if there is any at all), a connection with Gordon that has only just begun (with Gordon not being the Commissioner yet, so he has significantly less power), or a situation where there is no connection with Gordon. Basically it would be Batman: Year One but only in premise (not a video game version of the Batman: Year One graphic novel).Tuesday, January 15, 2013 @ 05:06 AM
Arkham City was too short for me and still prefer Arkham Asylum but same as @4. No 50s batman for me. If they want to change of era, at least, they can use "Batman Beyond".Thursday, January 17, 2013 @ 03:34 PM
lol Batman game based on comics/movies. Now a Batman movie based on a game. *head explodes*Thursday, January 17, 2013 @ 08:58 PM
Half of those sound so bad they aren't even worth mentioning but batman arkham origins, arises, and legends sound sick. But honestly they could call it "ponies and dreams of the caped crusader" I'm still 100% gonna get it.Monday, January 21, 2013 @ 10:13 AM
I'm gonna buy this game no matter what the title is. I've gotten all of the achievements in AA and AC, so I wanna keep the streak alive. (Arkham Asylum was my first game on Xbox 360)

Warner Bros. has registered 15 new domain names that could relate to future Batman / Arkham titles.
Among the titles - registered by the publisher’s Domain manager MarkMonitor - are Arkham Universe, Batman Arkham Arises, Batman Arkham Origins and Batman Arkham Stories.
Back in July it was revealed that Arkham developer Rocksteady is considering a prequel story for its next Batman game. With a visual style inspired by the 1950s comics, the game would document the Caped Crusader’s very first meeting with the Joker.
It’s far from confirmed. Plus, the registration of website domains only offer a hint of Warner Bros.’ future intentions.
Indeed, last year it was reported that a movie is in the works based on the Arkham Asylum game, scheduled for a 2016 release. Time will tell what we end up with, but whatever way it pans out - more batman can only be a good thing.
Here’s the full list of domain registrations:
