Slated to release tomorrow, Forza Horizon will be getting another dose of DLC separate from the Season Pass, and it'll be completely free. It's called the '1000 Club Expansion Pack' and adds a whole raft of new stuff for absolutely nothing.

As well as adding ten new achievements worth 250G, as revealed last week, the 1000 Club Expansion Pack presents you with 1000 new challenges to tackle and two new cars, namely the RUF CTR2 1995 and 1956 Ford F-100, both pictured in the new screenshots below.

You'll be able to download the Forza Horizon 1000 Club Expansion Pack for free from tomorrow. That's April 16th. Check out the trailer and screenshots below.

  • looks good
  • This is nice. I don't see to many gestures like these in the gaming industry.
  • Free is always nice for hopefully good DLC!
  • Free DLC is always nice, but I'm curious as to whether all the achievements for it are available without purchasing extra car packs from the marketplace.
  • But the achievements aren't really "free" because you need the paid-for DLC to unlock them all. Here's me still waiting for a Season Pass sale, as the game costs far less to buy BRAND NEW than the Season Pass currently does!
  • This pleases me. I'm so glad that Microsoft are still the only ones with Forza! That's probably why it's such a consistent series! I'd still like to drive the Warthog though..
  • wow! I'm beyond shocked to se that it's free. Maybe Turn 10 is trying to make up for that pathetic season pass with that cheap rally pack, and the awful car packs. Glad to see the CTR2, but I'll pass on the F-100.
  • i had that porsche as a toy car.
  • The only DLC you need to get all the achievements is the November pack I think.
  • For people who dont want achievements this is fantastic news, free!! For people who do want the achievements, we just got raped, and it hurts a bit
  • Ill be downloading it. Free is always nice.
  • November dlc is all that is needed so only 400 points. If that is bring raped then not sure what you call EA dlc lol
  • @9 @12 Are you guys sure that the only DLC needed for the full 250 points from this is the November pack?
  • @12 They could have charged 1600msp for this DLC like the Rally DLC so IF I need to buy 1 car pack at 400msp then I'm happy doing so.... If others are not happy with it then why just NOT DOWNLOAD IT!!!! I don't see the point in moaning about it when they could have charged full price for it and who knows how it works anyway.... you may not even need to buy any car packs as you could get cars for other challenges as rewards for hitting specific targets in other challenges. Lets all find out tomorrow =)
  • What a Beauty!
  • Guess I need to by some car packs!
  • To all who doubt my analysis. Once you take account of on disc cars plus barn finds you are left short the following: 2 x Shelbys 1 x Lambo 1 x Nissan 1 x BMW These are all included in November dlc. Go to www.manteomax.com for a car list spreadsheet if you like. I have used it to do a thorough analysis for this dlc.
  • 1000 new races??? I am right in thinking that ?
  • @18 No it is 1000 challenges and each (or most) cars have numerous challenges to complete. From the trailer I have seen a few challenges like performing stunts/smashing objects/top speeds etc
  • @19 ahh I see thanks for the clarification. Got my hopes up then haha I suppose it wouldn't be free if it was that... It the way the fricking report reads it.
  • @20 Give the trailer a quick view to get a better idea of what to expect I also noticed a challenge related to jumping a certain distance in an Evo
  • you're forgetting, you also need 2 more fords(the dlc makes 11 base game) and you'd have to buy a couple ferraris for 240msp unless you want to pay 3m and 10m for the 1st 2 in the game.
  • Have to say I'm slightly shocked that this is free, nice too see.
  • With just the base game, no DLCs, it's looking like you'll only be able to get 3 achievements. Unless my counts are off(which is entirely possible..) there are 16 Ferrari, 21(I think)cars 1m+ in value, 1 Shelby(maybe 2 if the Ford Shelby GT500 counts), 7 Lamborghini, 5 Nissan, 8 BMW, 18 British, 9 Fords, and 136 cars all together.
  • In my book free is free, surely the 2 free cars is better than none.
  • Wow, time to reboot Horizon for first time in months. Thanks MS!
  • @24 try this. 127 on disc to buy, 9 barn finds, 3 free Hondas, 6 sample cars, 2 in the dlc. There is 147. Add to that any unicorns you have. November dlc is all that is needed. I will do a Ford calculation when i get time. The 95 cobra was a free dlc car and the fiesta is a unicorn.
  • @22 Ford Country Squire and 95 Mustang Cobra are free dlc cars.
  • @22 November dlc has a Ferrari. Once again people November dlc is all you need.
  • A very nice offering. Was pleased with how this game turned out, a nice distraction from regular Forza.
  • Very nice.. Thx Turn 10 "I think they still make forza"
  • I thought you need the October Pack and December Pack for 20 British cars and the Fords and the November gives you the Shelbys... I never planned on getting the Season Pass so I got the October Pack for 200 during Thanksgiving and the December Pack for 200 last week, glad I did... I have no Unicorns so this tactic mos def helped me out. Hopefully they put the November pack on sale for 200 this week as a kind gesture to accompany the new DLC. If not, I have a ton of points I got for free from MS cause they screwed up my GoW:J pre-order over at the MS store, so I'll pick it up this week either way... Also glad me and my buddy gifted each other all our cars after 100%-ing the game, then gifted back our cars to one another after starting a new game so we could earn $ easily again by doing the entire game over again... You're gonna need almost all the cars in the game even with the DLC, so unless these challenges give you a shitload of $, I don't see how you guys are gonna be able to afford all the cars you need unless you use this strategy me and my boy came up with... We did this just to be able to play the game again with all our cars, but now it seems like an even brighter idea in light of this DLC... Even if you do the $100,000 street race over and over, you'll still be racing forever to get those $1 mil+ cars.
  • to get the $1mil cars i suggest racing online. when you level up you get chances for big cash infusions and free cars. thats how i got my first ccx-r
  • the cars added arent that great but at least the dlc is free!, but im digging the new achievements
  • ALL achievements in this "free" DLC are unattainable unless you purchase some cars except for "win your first medal" and "win a medal in 20 different cars worth over 1.mil", the rest you have to buy cars to make them unlock able, which I think is ridiculous. I would have preferred them to release the DLC with 10 cars in it as well and price it at 1000msp rather than this then at least its ripping you off in your face. This way is sneaky and exploitative. I think you MAY be able to get "win a medal in 20 British cars" as well, not sure but I have 19/20 so you can get pretty damn close and I've not finished yet. people can argue forever about DLC cost compared to playability, but gaming used to be something different. Making money is all well and good but you have to balance making money to customer satisfaction, and people are starting to see through DLC because the amount we are paying is way too much in relation to the quality and quantity of gameplay we are getting. Bottom line is this DLC has hit a new low, because its cunningly making people buy DLC packs that they never normally would for a "free" DLC. anyone who wants the achievement or even all 1000 medals will buy the cars needed, and like I said before the insult is in calling the DLC "free" ... when its not. The first 600 medals may be free but the rest of the DLC absolutely isn't, so whichever way you look at it we are been taken advantage of, and I think DLC in general has annoyed enough people now that they will start to struggle to get away with it someday, and things will go back to how it used to be where you paid a generally ok price (£30) for a FULL, finished, polished and fun game, and games designers spent their time making new games rather than adding DLC to old ones.
