Codemasters has released a new trailer for the upcoming F1 2013: Classic Edition, the limited release version of the game containing additional tracks and cars from the 1980s and 1990s.
Extending the nostalgia, Codies has also revealed that all those that sign up to RaceNet - the developer’s social hub - will receive a 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 for use in the game's Time Trial mode.
This particular model of car is the same as that driven by Niki Lauda, who crashed and nearly burned to death in it at the Nurburgring in `76. So that’s nice.
Lauda’s rivalry with British racer James Hunt during the 1976 Grand Prix season, and that crash, is the subject of Ron Howard’s new movie, Rush.
The game, meanwhile, in both its vanilla and Classic Edition forms, is out on the 4th October in Europe and 8th October in the US.
