Blue Isle Studios and Midnight City’s Slender: The Arrival has appeared on XBLA, ready to (at least try to) spook your pants off. The horror game released on PC last year to a mixed reception. Some people loved it. Other did not. Now you can find out for yourself.

“You’re on your own,” says the blurb, ominously. “No one to come for you. No one to help you. No one to hear you scream. Slender: The Arrival is the official video game adaptation of Slender Man, re-created from Mark Hadley’s original nerve-shattering sensation. Developed in collaboration with Blue Isle Studios, The Arrival features a brand new storyline, improved visuals, great replay value, and most importantly, survival horror at its best.”

  • Ha ha you guys are going to be so spooked. Good luck game literaly cant be completed due to scare factor. No one has finished it.
  • it figures it would be in first person. i will pass
  • @1 more freaked out by dancing penguins than this. gonna wait for evil within i thinks for horror game.
  • @2 how are they supposed to make you jump when you can see what's coming behind you? :P
  • @2 horror works best in first person.
  • @2: It was first person on PC... obvious troll is obvious.
  • @5 Not necessarily. This generation just has you believing that because that's all that has been coming out lately. There are plenty of classic horror games that are still great to this day and have been done in 3rd person or fixed camera view.
  • I will give this a try. Looks like it will be fun, at night, with the lights off, and all alone.
  • Dont buy this now people. Just wait one month (Halloween) and I guarantee it will be at least 33% off or better. :-)
  • @1 I find that hard to swallow. out of all the people that have ever played it nobody has finished it? I seriously doubt that. will be picking this up tonight and playing through it. looks fun!
  • Definitely want, definitely will get. Since I'm playing through a considerable backlog though, I can maybe wait for a deal. And I don't agree that horror games are usually first person. Play Sanctuary on PC. That shit is spooky as hell, and third person all the way. Little dated, but awesome.
  • There's an achievement for beating the game in less than 45 minutes. This must be one extremely short game...
  • Alright I'm definitely getting this today, but will have to wait til night to play. C'mon darkness....
  • one gold tooth like im shabba ranks
  • @12 If it's anything like the first Slender, the actual time of a completed playthrough is short, but the REAL play-time is much longer simply due to how many attempts it takes to complete it. Maybe this one is very different though, I dunno.
  • This version is really bad. I downloaded the demo just to see if it was worth buying. Right away you notice how slow the game is. It takes almost 3 minutes just to RUN down the damn hill. Then you explore the house with no danger, the slender man doesn't start chasing you until way into the back backyard and at that he never got within 100 feet of me, then it just end. Maybe pick it on for 5$ but not full price, its way too slow and not even remotely scary.
  • #16 The Demo doesn't give the game justice... trust me...
  • Shame this isn't on Xbox One/PS4.
  • This looks scary as fuck
  • SMH at this game. After that poor girl got stabbed by two girls obsessed with Slenderman. SMH. Just SMH.
