Interpol Hits the Arcade This Wednesday

Major Nelson just sent word that Wednesday's Xbox Live Arcade game is, the "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego"-esque, Interpol.

Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos, will be available the same time as usual this Wednesday for the steep 800 Microsoft points. I spy with my little eye ... a synopsis on Xbox.com that states:

"Track down the evil and destructive fugitive Dr. Chaos, as you hunt down clues in the exciting seek and find game Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos. As an elite agent for Interpol, it is your mission to eradicate his trail of corruption as it takes you around the world from one international city to the next. Use your investigative skills to quickly gather the evidence needed to bring him to justice."

So there we have it; for the budding detective out there, this may be the game for you. For everyone else ... this is literally the only game release this week, so take it or leave it, your call.

  • Probably won't get this one, not my sort of thing.
  • Looking forward to the demo, but I wasn't expecting the 800 point price tag.
  • I remember Where in the World is Carmen San Diego many years ago in school, along with oregon trail, i'm getting old, blah blah blah
  • wicked cant wait
  • Wasn't a big fan of the detective games anyway. Now what they should bring out is the old Shining Force games from the Sega Genesis
  • @ #5 Infomouse You will be in luck as the Sega Genesis Collection has some of the Shining Force games on it, supposedly updated to 720p! Don't know them all so can't say if it's all of them.
  • Good news!
  • @#3 What were u expecting 400 or FREE? Why do people always think something should be free? Don't get me wrong I wish everything was free but some people just don't realize that it COSTS money to make games.
  • God when is Uno Rush coming out.
  • Okay where the hell is Dishwasher: Dead Samurai?! I saw on Gameinformer it was suppose to come out all ready!
  • huh what is this game about?
  • Looks like a point and click adventure. Boring IMO.
  • I'm with #9; i want my UNO NAO!!!!The last 2 weeks have been sucky games and now we get another one...Great...I liked games like this...when I was in 3rd grade and it was free time... BTW, flame me all you want for not being able to see the greatness of this and last week's "Xwords", these games are just pissing me off.
  • Yes, because every game that's released is created to meet your expectations #13. Just because you think it's crap doesn't mean 3 million other people do. Looks like an interesting game, I'll have to try the demo out before I commit to buying it.
  • overpriced at 800 and more of a kids game popular in 80s but doubt it will take off thesedays
  • I really don't know about this one... I thought this would be a game I'd eventually buy but I started to hesitate after all those (usually truthful) comments I read. Gotta download the demo and see what's the game about.
  • If this was a point and click adventure, I would buy it in a heartbeat... unfortunately it's a "find the items in the picture" game... Bitterly dissapointed Peace
  • @9 uno rush@?! how about rbi baseball? haha they released the achievement list for that ages ago and its still not out!!!
  • If this is anything like Millionheir then all of you will be eating your words. And having fun. P.S. I'm on the toilet with my iPhone...
  • Forget this stuff, where are my Fable II, Fallout 3, AND Left 4 Dead DLC???
  • If they would start releasing their XBLA games at $5 again, I'd buy them.
  • *agrees with #20* they couldve at least told us when the date of the l4d dlc is gonna be announced. Also i wanna know when Defense Grid is out, (knowing my luck its probably already out and i havent noticed)nothing like a good tower defense.
  • nice
  • so is this like one of those old school point and click adventure games like monkey island and day of the tentacle??
  • Point and click adventure? Awesome! In the constant wait for Monkey Island 5, I might check this out.
  • No, this is NOT a point and click adventure. As #17 pointed out, it's actually a "find the items in the picture" game, and nothing like Carmen San Diego at all. OXM gave it a 3.5, citing two reasons. A: It's a crappy concept for a video game (I agree, at best, it's for casuals ONLY). B: The graphics aren't even any good. I can't judge this for myself, but they claim that instead of glorious HD pictures, you get muddy garbage that wouldn't tax the graphic processors of a SNES. So download at your own risk.
  • @22 tbh for left 4 dead dlc you wont see it for along time because your going to see the content hit the pc version alot sooner and i havent even really see anything saying its being given and you can almost garuntee you rnot going to see the dlc for another 3 to 4 months maybe even longer before it hits the xbox look at team fortress in the orange box for example there is so many patches for that on the pc but yet they only did 1 or 2 of them for xbox so your gonna wait along time for that
  • I would love this to have been 400Gs. I have a sinking feeling that along with Boom Bunnies, Tetris and Word Puzzles this will be right up my GFs alley and I will have to get it : ( Why not more classic Megadrive games for 400?
  • the hell, wheres my tooie?
  • ha theres a game like this in bars and i played it every time im out with mates its a gd (drunk time)game and at 800 point it would cost less then what we put in it
  • I'll get the demo, if it's good I'll get it. #28 Hey Samoza1, check out the new Sonic Ultimate Collection. There is a ton of old Sega Genesis / Megadrive games in an all in 1 retail game.
  • @19 lmaO iphones are cool
  • Wait, so this is Where's Wally The Videogame? Well I'm going to download the demo at least, even if it's to check out how bad it is! :)
  • Dishwasher is an action side scroller that is being made into an arcade title. (It was from XNA and won a contest when the XNA for the console was made). (Remeber you could try thoese XNA games until like spring or something).
  • I download all the demos - and I'm happy with most the variety in the games. Wish I would have held back on Triggerheart Exelica for 1942.. but meh. Glad to see some variety in what they're bringing out. Not everything is for everyone, but there have been tons of great games.
  • Wow...I got this game and....I LOVE IT. I always loved games like this...especially " I SPY " best "finding the item" game there is. Well..up-to-date. I know, I'm waiting for Uno Rush also. I have 400MSPS in my account...if it is anymore then that, then screw it.
