MCM London Comic Con Games Stage Recap #2: Mark Meer & Ali Hillis, Koei Tecmo, Annie Wersching, The Dark Room and Payday 2

Friday's sessions from the Resero Games Stage at MCM London Comic Con was but an aperitif for the rest of what turned our to be a pretty big weekend. Kicking off Saturday were voice actors Mark Meer and Ali Hillis, known for their performances in BioWare's Mass Effect trilogy as Commander Shepard and Dr. Liara T'Soni, as well as a host of other video games.

Following some reminiscing about Meer and Hillis' experiences with Mass Effect, we moved briskly on to the Koei Tecmo variety hour, in which we got a good look at the publisher's upcoming PlayStation titles with plenty of gameplay Samurai Warriors 4-II and Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess.

Annie Wersching, the voice and face of Tess from The Last of Us, as well as 24's Agent Renee Walker was next up, chatting about her first ever video game role, while Dan let his 24 geekdom show with loads of questions regarding one of his favourite TV shows.

Then things took a turn for the weird, as John Robertson brought his inimitable The Dark Room interactive video game to the stage, delighting an enraptured audience. Seriously, it was completely brilliant and featured one of the oddest heckles you'll ever see, involving a 9-foot elf and a small Jack Sparrow cosplayer. Altogether now! Ya die, ya die, ya die!

By comparison, our finale playing Payday 2: Crimewave Edition seemed positively sedate, as we took on a jewellery store heist and small town bank job. Did it all go wrong? You'll have to watch and find out!
