Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive have lifted the lid on some of Space Hulk: Deathwing's "mammoth" ship interiors and expansive backgrounds with a fistful of new screenshots from the Unreal Engine 4-powered first-person shooter, set within Games Workshop's renowned Warhammer 40K universe.

The environments you'll visit in Space Hulk: Deathwing will include a large Black Templars battle-barge, an Adeptus Mechanicus craft, and other huge, derelict Warhammer 40K vessels "oozing with atmosphere and authenticity." You'll explore these locations while playing as a Librarian accompanied by a Terminator squad, with solo or co-op play with friends available throughout its story-driven campaign.

Wielding weapons like the Storm Bolter, Assault Cannon, Lightning Claws, and Thunder Hammer, you'll fend off hordes of Genestealers, while recovering ancient relics from the mangled ships and asteroids of the Space Hulk, as you drift along the currents of the Warp. Space Hulk: Deathwing heads to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2016. Check out the new images below. It's looking good.

  • Looks Ok
  • Meh
  • Love me some 40K
  • These screenshots aren't very good. They are too far back and feel more like something from a benchmark test than a game. What this game really needs are some trailers to really set the tone.
  • Wasn't the point of Space Hulk the Board Game that the halls were narrow and this had to be traversed single file? Thus the strategy of the entire game. If I can launch a Titan into the space hulk, it sort of defeats the point... not that I won't play this.
  • Anything has to be better than Space Marine!!
  • Space Marine was fine, just a odd way of refilling your HP.
  • Really? I loved space marine! Cant wait for this.
  • Fingers crossed that this does some justice for 40k. It has so much potential but the games never quite cut it. Apart from dawn of war, that was good
  • @6 Space Marine was great though, at least not so bad that "anything would be better than it". Surprisingly fun online too.
