Deep Silver has further detailed what players can expect from Homefront: The Revolution’s Expansion Pass. It includes bonuses for use in the co-op Resistance Mode, as well as three story add-ons for the campaign.

Voice of Freedom and Aftermath are the first two story add-ons, both due to launch this year. Deep Silver says that each will add new districts and “several hours of original content”. The third story add-on, Beyond the Walls, will arrive in 2017.

The Resistance Mode bonuses, meanwhile, include something called Supply Line - which gives players a free Resistance Crate every week - as well as The Right Kind of School which unlocks three new starting backgrounds for the player’s Resistance Mode characters; ATF Agent, G-Man and US Marshall.

New missions will also be added to Resistance Mode next month, for free.

We’re planning on publishing our Homefront: The Revolution this week, if I can bring myself to play more of the blummin’ thing. Pretty much everything you’ve heard about the game’s various technical glitches and design wonks are true. It's a mess.

  • Imagine if they offered the rest of the Timesplitters levels within the season pass? So many people would be on it! Ps just remaster them already!!!!
  • This is excellent. It sounds like the game will get 3 decent sized expansion packs for the campaign, which is what I cared about. Should be a guaranteed 40 campaign when DLC ships. As for the technical issues, they can all be fixed with updates. They should have been fixed before launch, but this is how many games are now. The game will be amazing if they keep working on updates. With 1 year of DLC confirmed, the patches will go along with the DLC work, so I am not worried.
  • I haven't experienced any glitches. The only problem I've had with the game so far is bad frame rates. Still playable, though. And for $20, the season pass is a steal. 2 small expansions, followed by one big one next year (all of which unlock new areas), along with Resistance Mode content. Let's compare it to Division; $40 for what amounts to a survival mode, a horde mode, and some tunnels, only the latter of which adds in a new area.
  • Do the co op missions have an online lobby or is it local only? Might pick this up tomorrow
  • Is the game any good? Worth picking up? Thanks
  • @4 The coop missions are 4 player online, yes. But there's only 6 missions right now, and they only take like 10 minutes each. @5 Probably wait until either a price drop, or the framerate issues are fixed
  • I'm enjoying what I've played of the game. Will be getting the pass tomorrow. There may only be 6 missions for co-op right now, but they've already said there will be at least 20 in the end.
  • @2 you are a moron lol first u admit to the game not being finished and your totally okay with that? Why? Second we both know the DLC will be short and charge u big so why your still happy is beyond me and the perfect example of consumers who will pay for anything because there too damn stupid to know the business! P.S. 95% of the time DLC is just content that's stripped away from the original game and then sold to u later on so basically your paying twice
  • I actually somewhat like campaign because it reminds me of an urban FarCry but the co-op just seems lame and uninspired. The multiplayer in the first game was not only 1 of the only things they did right but I think they did a phenomenal job (crap servers aside). Too bad they didn't bring that back because aside from BF and R6, it was probably my favorite multiplayer FPS on 360.
  • @#8... Hate to be the one to say it but you should be careful about calling people idiots when you're struggling with "they're" and "you're" so many times. You're right though in most cases, but I don't think these guys would be sitting on content for a game like this for a year if it was already made since the sooner DLC comes out the more potential $$$$. Achievement hunters aside, who will give a damn about this game or buy any of the DLC next year? They would be shooting themselves in the foot
  • The rest of Timesplitters would be an excellent DLC. Would buy the game in a hot minute for that.....Y'know what would have been a good idea? If they Remade Timesplitters and hid a Homefront Arcade machine in it.
  • @9: I'm kind of glad they didnt add MP in this one. If Crytek didnt go under this game would have been pretty much perfect. It's also a shame that no-one took on the Homefront 1 online and turned the servers back on! Deep Silver should just acquire the licenses and turn the servers back on
  • Resistance Mode is OK but gets super repetitive after you've run the same few missions 50 times. At least the missions are really short and you get decent XP+ cash so the grind doesn't seem too strenuous.
  • @10 ever since paid DLC started its been the biggest joke video games because people are too stupid but hey I ain't my money
  • @14 Yeah there's a lot of shitty paid dlc out there (ex. horse armor), sure, but there are tons of good paid dlc as well. Fallout 4's Far Harbor is a good example. Or Hearts of Stone for Witcher 3.
