GOD DAM, good they are sorting thier mistake out, but its a professional company it should not have happenedTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:44 AM
best get refunded or the new file recognise that ive already paid for itTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:45 AM
It was to good to be trueTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:45 AM
And it works for you?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:45 AM
Awesome, so what happens to those of us that bought it already? Will we be able to download the proper version for free?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:45 AM
I think it will be free to those who have downloaded it before tbh, and serves to right for buying the dlc straight away, i always await feedback to prevent myself being annoyed like this lolTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:46 AM
Like Bleeding Star said I have paid for the thing but didnt get to download it yet so I hope it lets me download for free.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:47 AM
hopefully when the better version comes out those of us who bought it will just get it updatedTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:48 AM
I'm waiting till all three are out anyway so no harm for no foul.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:49 AM
If only Treyarch worked this fast :p But it's good to see they are sorting it out asap. It's just a shame I can't play it :(Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:47 AM
Well thats just PANTS. Whatever happened to BETA TESTERS?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:52 AM
People relax, Bethesdas fixing it. Just wait and relax.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:56 AM
~Can't believe people are worried that it won't pick up something that's already been purchased. It's all part of Microsofts framework.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:56 AM
@ #10; by the sounds of it the file was corrupted during the time they moved the files to XBL. @ #4; Try entering Downtown then tell us how it's going for you ;)Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:57 AM
Wow, glad I didn't start DLing last night.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:57 AM
to *8 it does not serve us right for downloading it right away- thats like buying a retail game when it first comes out and it does not work- should not happen in the first placeTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:57 AM
#1: this is not Bethesda's fault, its Microsofts. it clearly got corrupted during the final stage of uploading. shit happens. -------------------------------------------------------- it works fine for pc users so that obviously means the content is fine. I've waited a month and half for this...i can wait a tiny a bit longer. as for compensation...the pitt working and my money not going to waste is compensation enough for me.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:02 PM
i downloaded this 2 mins before it got pulled and there are massive red and white !'s everywhere and you can walk through everything and go anywhere quite a big fuck up shame was lookin forward to hammering this 2nite oh well can w8 a bit longer 4 it.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:05 PM
I have a massive love for fallout and oblivion so am willing to forgive many faults in the games... but what the hell happened to testing games now? I am getting the feeling that first buy customers are becoming unpaid alpha testers with the fixes for bugs coming out after the game is released. Fallout is not the worst offender in this matter. Bully wont even play most of the time unless you have live so can get the patch.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:07 PM
First MCLA South Central, now this? Somethin' smells here.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:08 PM
yea its not that big of a deal to me, yea i was looking forward to it, but i still got RE5 and halo wars to play so i dont careTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:07 PM
#8 how does it serve people right?? these people have just payed good money for what they thought would be a decent experience and you find it funny that they have been let down, well kudos to you for not buying stuff until its been reviewed, do you wait until people tell you its ok to cross the road?? im dissappointed at this and hope there is a refund or someting for it because i couldve got the new Gears maps instead. I think they should refund and give a discount for the third dlc.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:09 PM
You are correct, Raider.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:11 PM
I just wonder why it took so long before anyone noticed. You'd think someone at Beth would have XBL and said "Hey, this doesn't look right," and called up to have someone remove it. It was released last night but only got pulled in the last couple of hours?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:11 PM
I got the content this moring...so do i get a credit for the problem?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:12 PM
I hope this is back on for today!!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:06 PM
wow so much has happened in nine hours. I went to bed at 1 am dreaming of the content I was going to have in the mourning. I got up took a shower ate some breakfast , then checked xbl and was like wtf! so I came to this site and what do you know, the first news article is the pitt is pulled from xbl. Talk about a bummer!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:24 PM
Got 10 ingotts keeps freezing after...:'( stupid microsoft......Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:23 PM
Ummm correct me if im wrong but if you gotta download it again when its fixed there should already be a tick beside it saying that you've paid for it? I know this happened to me ages ago with some DLC that got corrupted but when it got released again after being fixed i managed to download it for free as i'd already paid for it in the beginning?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:30 PM
They should say sorry and let you have it for free lolTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:34 PM
WTF!!!....... been waiting ans waiting. Fucking gay. Out of all the DLC it had to be fallout. Would rather this happen to GOW2, since they need all the help thay can get fixing shit.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:41 PM
The DRM should allow you re-DL the corrected DLC.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:41 PM
First MCLA DLC mess up, now this. TBH, this is BS, we actually PAY for this?. PSN is looking more and more appealing everyday......Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:42 PM
And to all the complainers -- trust me, everyone's shit stinks once in a while. Kudos to Bethesda for being on this with the quickness.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:34 PM
Say sorry probaly give it you for free lol keep dreaming m8 not gonna happen just like live will NEVER be freeTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:47 PM
At least they are aware of the problem and are working on getting a fix on it. I really want to dl this but I've heard of all of the problems that's associated with it.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:52 PM
mine works just fine iv only noticed one glitchTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:54 PM
Because it's Fallout 3, pretty much the greatest game ever, I can wait and forgive.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:56 PM
"First MCLA DLC mess up, now this. TBH, this is BS, we actually PAY for this?. PSN is looking more and more appealing everyday......" How are you paying for this? It was delayed like a freakin' month. Now you're all pissy because you'll have to wait a few more hours? Jesus, go to PSN then. One less whining baby around here.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:58 PM
they should apologize by making it free once they get it fixedTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:57 PM
Unfortunately nobody could have predicted this. I wasn't a problem with the programming but rather a corrupt download (as they said). If this is the case this should be fixed very quickly, depending on the help from Microsoft. If that was the problem then there is nothing that could be done as sometimes these thing just happen, rare as they may be.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:59 PM
And on top of this, my OA download will not work! It get's to 69(LOL)% and then dies! :'( They've stolen my money!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:51 PM
To all those concerned about getting a refund or downloading the fixed version for free. No you wont get a refund but since you paid for it you can delete and redownload a piece of DLC as many times as you want, thats how xbl works...just like the wii, you have paid for the content and therefore own it. When they put it back up you will be able to re-download it, have no fear micrsoft is here.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:51 PM
I really everyone throwing a fit right not at Bethesda for this. Wondering how they could release an unfinished game, or why they didn't test it or anything. You know, because a corruption during uploading, that is Bethesda's and Microsoft's fault. It's a computer file, they have been known to get corrupted on occasion. It's not because they coded the game wrong, it's just because it happened. But hey, maybe if htey complain enough at Bethesda, they'll get that free DLC they want so bad... sheesh.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:01 PM
that lasted long on the marketplace....Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:03 PM
damn so i have to download this again?????????Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:08 PM
Oh well, I was saving it for the games drought this summer.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 12:56 PM
@1 Wow. even professional companies do make mistakes you should know this how old are you? @36 Please don't let us stop you from going over to PSN, its not like they don't make mistakes to, its a part of life no one is perfect. I can't wait for this either but then I realize its a game and that a couple of (days or weeks) is really nothing. We should find out whos at fault b4 every1 blames the wrong people. Every one makes mistakes.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:26 PM
i got it this morning and it took forever to download, and it has locked up on me twice and there are some graphic glitches in the game. i just hope they fix it soon, i need something to play i am board.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:25 PM
Why is everyone bitchin and saying it should now be free, if they told you when it was announced that it would be released in July you wouldn't give a flying fuck, your just pissed cos you gotta wait a few extra hrs/days, WTF peeps go buy a playstation see how long it lasts it'll get some of the idiots off xbl in the processTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:30 PM
Do you guys seriously think they're not going to refund it/give it to you for free? Come on.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:35 PM
Major Sadface here, its abit of a joke that they managed to mess up the file but what can you do. I'm sure its only a small error in the coding that shouldn't take that long to correct.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:39 PM
ha i still have it lolTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:32 PM
Just curious, I paid for it via Xbox.com (currently at work) and set the download for when I turn the Xbox on when I get home, does this mean my download will not go through until it's put back up on MP or will I still download the glitched version? Any answers much appreciated!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:40 PM
hopefully its back up later today. it sucks we have to wait a little longer, but to the people saying it should be free now- are you ****ing serious?? its probably going to be a one day delay tops.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:43 PM
Just completely downloaded it before the pulled it of. Not going to try though before the new file is up.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:23 PM
microsoft tracks everything that you have purchased. go to xbox.com, click market place. hover your mouse over my account, select download history. their ya go a complete history of every thing you have ever purchased on live. a record a.k.a your digital receipt.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:50 PM
Yeah, if you had the first version, you couldn't even get past the first part of the first quest.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:55 PM
I was planning on downloading when I get home from school. This sucks!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:56 PM
Can someone please tell my why companies are incapable of: a) Releasing when they actually say they will and/or b) Releasing broken content that has a blatant bug within it that somehow "slipped" past testing?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:57 PM
oh well, stuff hapens.. not everyone os perfect.. its not like bethesda made the pitt, and never did a test run on it..Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:59 PM
Oh well.... Back to Gears 2!! Woo!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:07 PM
Guess I will wait for the Brotherhood DLC now. Hopefully they can find some fuckin beta testers to work out the bugs firstTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 01:55 PM
@ #58 By releasing a broken product Bethesda, technically, has broken the law, false advertising. A free product as an apology would be a lot cheaper than a class action law suit.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:13 PM
@ #66 WE are the beta testers. We don't get paid either, we actually pay to be beta testers. This seems to be the new craze with EA, Ubisoft, and Activison... why should't Bethesda get on board?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:14 PM
Yeah, that was really fucking gay to have the whole thing freeze my xbox when i tried going through a damn door. They should be aware if a file is corrupted or not, i mean, have they heard of testing? I was really happy with bethesda until now. They better fix the dlc fast.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:19 PM
that's just fine because my xbox red ringed yesterday.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:20 PM
Even if the file got corrupt in the transfer from Bethesda to MS, you'd think they'd have zipped or rar'd it and did a CRC or MD5 check.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:17 PM
Dont worry guys, if you already paid you will get the fixed version free, bethesda already said it.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:23 PM
omfg, im tired of everything getting pulled...Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:16 PM
Yay! I love this game: 61: It isn't a "broken" product. It got corrupted. As in, out of anyone's control. It's something that cannot be predicted and they had nothing to do with. You could sue them, and the court would laugh in your face. 63: It is not a blatant bug. You would have to be next to brain dead to not notice something like that if everyone in the world is experiencing it. It is a file corruption (Grr... broken record...). Out of their control. As for the other question, easy. They give out their hopeful deadline, but in the end, a bug or something appears that needs resolving. If they released it then, you would all complain and moan about it, and wonder why they didn't take more time (funny how annoying the average consumer is, huh?). Better to release sometTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:21 PM
lucky for me i didn't download it yetTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:38 PM
Bethesda should have pulled an Operation: Anchorage and delayed this content as well...a perfect plan tomorrow is always better than a good plan today...Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:38 PM
Alright, so what about people who got it this morning and the spent 800 points. When it comes back out, will we get to hit Download again or did I just waste 10 bucks on something that wasn't MY fault. Such bullshit if I have to spend another 800 pointsTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:41 PM
get a move on xbox live i got microsoft points in game to play the pitt! snarf snarfTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:51 PM
#75 You'll be able to download the Pitt again for free. Once you pay for something on XBL, you can download it again and again for free. So no, you didn't waste 800 points.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:51 PM
@63 They are capable of "releasing broken content that has a blatant bug within it that somehow "slipped" past testing". I guess you didn't read what everyone is upset about. @76 Operation Alaska is the only DLC that was released on time. I wonder if the last DLC will be pushed back again.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:59 PM
Relax, you wont have to pay the 800 again. Its a small setback. I'll wait. Its not that big of a deal, really.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 02:50 PM
lol @71 shitty broTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:08 PM
Even the great ones make mistakes. It's easy for us to say it shouldn't have been released all glitchy, but it's not the first time it happened, and it certainly won't be the last. At least we know that because it's Bethesda, it'll still be worth the wait.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:10 PM
everyone is saying " where's the beta testers; why didn't this get tested before they put it up on the marketplace" they obviously aren't oblivious enough to do such a task without testing how it handles on the network. The file just got corrupted between the time when Bethesda had it and Microsoft had it... it is neither's fault, files get corrupted... it has happened countless times for me on my computer, just relax and it should be up fairly quickly.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:12 PM
this is happening to all the DLC now. what the beep is up. is it MS fault or the Game Developers?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:23 PM
So, I already bought the Pitt. I'm not going to have to buy it again in order to play the fixed version am I?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:25 PM
man that would be so cool if they were like hey everybody guess what, its all fixed! before the end of todayTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:25 PM
No achievements? WEAK!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:26 PM
To those who think they have to pay again to play the fixed version, don't be an idiot. Just re download it once the fixed version is up. Oh and #87, there are new achievements. ....... Strong?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:25 PM
I was just about to get this right after I downloaded TEN this morning...Oh well, I can wait till they fix itTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:43 PM
Owned everyone OwnedTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:23 PM
aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! i want it put it back!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 03:57 PM
I wonder if it will be fixed today.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:02 PM
D; Ive already paid for itTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:04 PM
I actually got to play it, because i dled it at 7am this morning and just got on it awhile ago. Theres GIANT red exclamation points EVERYWHERE. And i tried to go into the Downtown area and it wouldnt let me, maybe because their fixing it.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:19 PM
Huh, I just think no one reads the comments anymore and just posts because they think they have breaking news...Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:31 PM
Quit complaining, technology isnt perfect and never will be, there will be mess ups here and there. Just forgive and be patient, just because you cant play it right now dosent mean your life is over and you will never be able to play it.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:34 PM
Thank God I decided to play Halo Wars instead of Fallout tonightTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:36 PM
Man, I had a terrible day at work, and I was looking forward to this tonight. Sigh.....oh well, what's a few more days?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:45 PM
I downloaded it before they took it down and better not have to pay for it again....Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:49 PM
I stopped at 70% to go to school, and when I come back I hear this? It says its still downloading but it wont continue, what am I going to do???Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:49 PM
does people read other post before posting????? OK LISTEN ALL YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN WHEN IT WILL BE FIXEDTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 04:54 PM
Wow this is stupid, I woke up and bought it, then turned on Background Downloading and left for school. I can play it, but it's SO glitchy. Just entering the bridge, there are floating objects, Red diamonds with a ! on them, and really bad textures and pop-up. I'm glad they're fixing this.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:00 PM
So does that mean I have to delete my existing DLC, then re-download the new one? I have the DLC already, although it isn't the most reliable thing in the world. Currently my main save is stuck inside The Mill, as entering Downtown freezes my game. Oh well, hopefully they fix it up so that I can enjoy the DLC as it should be enjoyed.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:01 PM
@97 amen to that. The thing got corrupted during upload. That can and does happen occasionally.Bethesda have recalled it VERY quickly and will surely have it out and fixed pretty fast. Not many other companies would act quite so quickly, they'd just leave it in a mess.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:10 PM
it happend with oblivions dlc as well... come on Bethesda get it sorted. i've wasted money on this, i hope to get the fixed version for freeTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:15 PM
its been hit with the dlc plague thats going around *cough*midnight club*cough*Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:19 PM
That really sucks. I can't wait anymore longer.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:47 PM
Wtf with all these pullbacks, srsly now.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:56 PM
Shit, I VERY nearly downloaded this, I was searching for it when I got home and it wasn't there I refreshed the marketplace and it popped up and I nearly bought it but went on Rock Band 2 with my girlfriend instead. Lucky escape I guess.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 05:57 PM
Geez most you all are just looking to point fingers at who's to blame. Files get corrupted for no good reason sometimes, period. I dol'd it 4am this morning and made my way to find out it was f'd also, but come on it's not the end of the world. They'll fix it and send it back out to us. YeeshTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 06:02 PM
@36 Ok you wont be missed with that kind of attitude. Still late I knew ps3 wasn't getting fallout3 content updates. lolTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 06:27 PM
This sucks, we have to wait what? Another day or two? New Gears update keeps us busy anyway. And great job by Bethe, getting on this quickly. As for MS giving this for free or discounted...It'll be a cold day in hell before that happens, hah! They apologized, they're fixing it. It's all good.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 07:00 PM
i think they should knock off some cost point since something always comes up and us as loyal fans have waited and havent complained much.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 07:11 PM
114: That's bull. You all have been complaining. IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT! It got corrupted. Everyone should just stop their whining. You act like you all deserve some compensation, when in the end, you just want a cheap way out.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 07:17 PM
I'd settle for a release tomorrow. If its back on the market tomorrow, all is forgiven. @115 We don't deserve compensation huh? Remind me how the economic system works again? We're going to wind up paying $90 - $100 for the game. If I recall correctly, the DLC is stuff they WANTED to put in the game, but didn't have the time. Now, I may be wrong, but I recall reading that in an interview. At the very least, I guarantee one of the packs was something they wanted to put in the original. IF thats the case, wouldn't it have been released with the game, costing a measly $60 in comparison?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 07:20 PM
Wow, If the version I downloaded at 6:50 AM this morning (PST) doesn't work, I hope Bethesda give me a refund.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 07:20 PM
I wasnt even aware today was the day it was to be released. so I can wait a little more. not gunna kill me or anyone else.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 08:45 PM
/cryTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 08:54 PM
lol i don't think we deserve compensation, fair enough they've given us a broken add on, but its not like they are going to charge us twice or something. Just be patient, at least we know they are already working towards a fix. However if it takes longer then a week, then it obviously shouldn't have been released in the first place, and in that case, yes i'd agree that we'd be entitled to a refund.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 08:55 PM
Didnt they say it was a *CORRUPTED FILE* - how do you beta test a corrupted file? Let them pull it off, figure out what corrupted and fix it. I'm sure you guys will be able to 'redownload' it without any trouble like all DLC.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 09:32 PM
cant wait. started playing it at ~4am when it came out. and then had to go to work. hope that its fixed soon on account of no work tomorrow :DTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 09:34 PM
Major Nelsons last report is: I just found out The Pitt is not going to be back on Marketplace until tomorrow. That's all I know right now.Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 09:49 PM
I am sooo waitin to play this!!!!Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 10:47 PM
in regards to that update. anyone know if they are going to try and throw it up at 4am? or just whenever its up its up? cant wait to play it again ^.^Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:09 PM
YAY! not a long wait at all for them to fix this. luckly they got to this fast and made it their top priority. Bethesda=GodlyTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:22 PM
YAY! Does anyone else love the name Bethesda?Tuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:42 PM
at least they managed to fix it before TOO many people downloaded itTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:51 PM
@ 127: no I don't even know how to pronounce it properly.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 12:01 AM
@129 ba-thez-daTuesday, March 24, 2009 @ 11:59 PM
Any idea how they'll fix my ruined level 20 save. I don't mind waiting for the fixed DLC, but my whole save was corrupted, leaving me to start ALL OVER.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 12:57 AM
Thank god im stuck in the Mill, can't go to downtown or the game will freeze hopefully my file save isn't FUCT.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 01:13 AM
@102 Mine got stuck at 75% then I went to breakfast came home and it was at 100...Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 01:14 AM
@130 ALWAYS have multiple saves. That's part of video games 101.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 02:23 AM
I downloaded it and I am stuck in The Mill after you have to collect the ingots as I can't get back into Downtown. If people who have already downloaded it, delete it, will it mess up their save file as they are saved in the middle of Pitt DLC content?Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 02:53 AM

Can someone msg me how to get my gamer tag in that box...Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 03:55 AM
Curious Question: Will first-time buyers actually get a refund? It always says there are no refunds for this item, but what if they made people pay another 800MSP for the patched version? Unless it's just gonna provide a patch for the old version and put the fixed version back onto the Marketplace. Who knows? If they sold it free I'd be IN THERE! ;)Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 05:14 AM
i wish people would stop asking questions on here that have already been answered in the forums go to the fallout 3 forums and look at the "update for the pitt" threadsWednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 06:50 AM
Why is there so much bitching if you're going to get the update for free if you already downloaded it, and it only took a matter of hours for them to fix it?Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 07:21 AM
Downloaded it AFTER it was taken offline and it loads up still, though not much point trying to progress until the update is done. Does anyone know if we'll have to re-download or if it will auto-update? Those who've paid for it will get it for free i'm aware of that, i'd just rather not wait for the 500mb to d/l again :-S Saying that, at least we'll all have some Pitt fun over the next 24hrs, wooooo :-D Better late than never . . . !Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 07:37 AM
Funny the french one over here in Canada is still up lol. No problems there I suppose. I wanted english because it takes me longer to read french so I have the screwed up copy on my hard drive lol. I still have to finish anchorage funnily enough. I haven't had motivation to do so since it bored the pants off of me. Maybe I'll start a new game and see just how broken the Pitt is.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 09:59 AM
Been looking on the Marketplace no Pitt yetWednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 11:30 AM
#144 I have also been looking for the past couple of hours and nothing still has popped up! too bad we can't get a email or something to tell us when it's live for us to download.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 11:52 AM
I just got word that The Pitt DLC is now uploading and should be available for download sometime this evening. When it is up, I'll let everyone know. In the meantime, if you downloaded the corrupted content, you'll want to delete it. From the Xbox 360 dashboard: Select My Xbox Select System Settings Select Memory Select Hard Drive Select Games Select Fallout 3 From there, you'll find your game saves and DLC content. Just delete The Pitt DLC file. When the new version of The Pitt becomes available, you'll be able to re-download it at no additional cost. I've received several questions about game saves. We highly recommend using game saves made prior to the DLC content being loaded to your game. Thanks for your patience, we hope you enjoy playing The Pitt.Wednesday, March 25, 2009 @ 12:17 PM

According to a Major Nelson tweet, Fallout 3's latest downloadable episode, The Pitt, has been pulled from the Xbox Live service so that Bethesda can fix the problems that so many of you commented on in this morning's release announcement post.
The folks over at Bethesda just posted the following on their blog;
"We are continuing to look into the issues people are experiencing with The Pitt for Xbox 360. As of now it looks like the file for the English version on Xbox Live was somehow corrupted. We are currently working with Microsoft to remove the existing file off of Live to prevent any further downloads. Our plan is to replace it with a new file as soon as possible. We hope to have another update for you shortly."
Sorry folks, but it looks like you'll have to wait a little longer to feed that Fallout 3 hunger. As soon as it's up, we'll let you know.
UPDATE: According to the Bethesda blog now, The Pitt should be available sometime tomorrow, so the wait wasn't too bad. The post states:
"Our team is doing some final checks late tonight and if everything looks okay, we are hopeful it will be back up and available tomorrow."
Fingers crossed folks. Thanks to Jay Mott for bringing this to my attention.
