Side-scrolling shooter, The Bug Butcher, will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 next week, taking you to a world bristling with "creepy spiders, frightening bugs and terrifying monsters." It's down to you as the eponymous bug butcher to exterminate all of the insects and arachnids, while protecting the crazy scientists hacking into the mainframe of the facility you're charged with clearing out.
It's imperative that the scientists succeed in their task, as only then will you be able to progress deeper into the facility and discover the mystery behind why the bugs have taken over. You'll be able to upgrade your character with new gear, equip perks and unleash an arsenal of powerful weapons against the marauding bugs, such as rocket launchers, lasers and miniguns.
As well as 30 campaign missions with boss fights, you can also bring friends along into the game's local co-op Panic Mode, where you'll fight endless waves of bugs to attain the highest score possible. The Bug Butcher will be scuttling onto Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 19th October for $9.99/£7.99. Take a look at the trailer and some screenshots below.
No doubt, PETA will probably protest this game. I already new they were over-the-top with animal issues, but after they flipped-out over Obama swatting an insect during a televised interview... I knew they were loco!
That said... the game looks like a lot of fun.
Eat me, PETA!
