Ive never understood the love for red dead I mean redemptions story was good like all rockstars games but other than that the was nothing. The world was just so empy.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:13 PM
#1 empty? those cougars were everywhere!Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:15 PM
The Magnificent Seven: The Video Game. Better late than never, right?Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:24 PM
I feel like I am the only person in the world who didn't enjoy RDR. Everyone raves about it but it just didn't do anything for me, anyone else feel this way out there?Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:31 PM
@4 there are at least 2 of you, maybe you should form a friendship with #1Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:33 PM
@5 didn't say I didnt like it I liked the story but other than that theres nothing to do singleplayer wise and ive always thought rockstars multiplayer portion of games have been bad. Gta 4 and 5 and red dead all follow the same structure with their mp and it just I my opinion is boring.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:43 PM
Make that 3 @4. While i did enjoy the game, I dont think its as 'amazing' as everyone raves about. Rockstar just has a cult following to it. That being said, if this is a new Red-Dead, I'll give it a go. There are so few western style RPG-esque games out there, which is why I even gave RDR the chance in the first place. I wish Gun would get a reboot, following an open world model like RDRMonday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:49 PM
I really enjoyed Red Dead Revolver.....Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:49 PM
I never really 'got' RDR either. The world seemed exceptionally boring and the horseriding controls got tedious to me. Rockstar's sandbox games seem quite baron and lacking side content when you compare them to the rest of the genre. Sure, the ending of the story was pretty unique, but I wouldn't neccesarily say the game had a great story overall.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:49 PM
I hope it's a pc port!Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 01:57 PM
RDR may be my "game of the generation." So excited about these teasers!Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:01 PM
Also, the image makes me think of the opening song from The Lion King. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASAVENYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! BABAITCHYBABA! That's how it went right?Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:08 PM
@12: Nailed it. Put me in the "good but not orgasm worthy" camp for RDR. Solid open-world western but I didn't feel like it was a million times better than something like Gun either (way better story, but gameplay-wise much the same).Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:28 PM
It's his gAng I'll wagerMonday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:34 PM
Jack Frost may have been right. This will be a prequel to Redemption, following Marston and his gang.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:37 PM
@15 I'm ok with this. They didn't really leave us anywhere to go with Redemption anyway.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 02:55 PM
I'll be happy to be right, but it's still way too early to tell for sure. But if I am right, they better have re-hired Rob Wiethoff. And I have no loyalty to Rockstar at all. I'll shit all over GTA for you, if you like, but to me Red Dead Redemption is pretty exceptional (take note #7). The multiplayer was excellent from the overall balance to the fact that you could make a posse of 8 and take them wherever you went. My biggest problem with a Red Dead sequel is that R* have managed to alienate every single person who worked on Redemption, so I don't trust them to make a good game anymore. I also do not trust what sort of shark card bullshit they'll be implementing in the multiplayer. With how most of the gaming industry is conducting itself, R* included, I await this game with trepidation... ...and that's just fucking sad.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 03:56 PM
never cared for this game and never understood the hypeMonday, October 17, 2016 @ 04:03 PM
good time to cash in. Hollywood has a real hardon for westerns right now.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 04:45 PM
@ #17 What.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 05:35 PM
hmmmm, there are seven of them...Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 06:18 PM
Can't wait for a new RD game - both the previous iterations were brilliantly executed. Redemption in particular followed in the same vein as GTA IV, where Rockstar put all their effort into creating a more complete and mature experience - which I loved. A game with more about it than just running and gunning isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I think you could only find it 'boring' if you lack the most primitive form of an imagination...Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 06:39 PM
My favorite game of the last generation. I don't know where all these RDR-haters are coming from but I think you're all nuts. Loved the missions, the story and the integrity of the game. Those challenges were so much fun.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 06:47 PM
Now, we wait..Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 06:52 PM
Watch it end up being some cowboy update for GTA Online.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 07:17 PM
@22 I said I found the multiplayer boring in ALL rockstar games. Not just red dead. Story is good as I have said before. People seem to forget I said that.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 07:25 PM
Christ almighty I can't come onto a single article without some idiot posting about how they don't care for the game. So dont read the article. and if you read the article and you don't care DONT COMMENT. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE IN 2016. WHY MUST YOU ALL HAVE YUR GRIEVANCES LAID OUT IN COMMENT SECTIONS. On topic: Holy crap this game is going to look and play amazing I'm extremely excited.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 07:31 PM
Thank you Rockstar.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 07:41 PM
@ #27 On the point.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 09:10 PM
Jack Frost is right. Don't expect 360-era microtransaction-less games anymore and you won't be disappointed. This prequel/sequel will most definitely be loaded with a pay to win system.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 09:24 PM
@1 Yeah idk what they were thinking, the deserts in the old west were full of buildings and traffic, with a massive overpopulation of people, billboards, street lamps and traffic lights. They did an awful job of depicting the old West exactly how it would have looked like back in those days.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 10:15 PM
@31 your misunderstanding what I mean by empty. I dont mean barron and is just desert thats fine like you said it depicts the time period well but theres just nothing to do other than main missions that what I mean by empty. At least with gta they had tonnes of side quests with cool side characters which fleshed out the game.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 11:00 PM
@1: You can't speak out against the circle jerk, man. It's just not worth it.Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 11:10 PM
There's 7 guys in the picture. There's red, yellow and black. Those colors are in German's flag. "German" has only 6 letters. So let's do a calculation: 7 minus 6 equals one. That means there's only one point into this teaser. Now Rockstar has released already TWO teasers about new Red Dead game so that can NOT be the point. The point must be: Illuminati confirmedMonday, October 17, 2016 @ 11:28 PM
@34 These colours are in Belgiums flag as well Illuminati denied Liked RDR amd even though there wasn't as much to do as in say Far Cry games I feel like the side activities were better fleshed out, than in other open world games, like the quest with picking flowers for the dead wife or the mysterious guy with the top head and the outpost felt genuinely different from one another. I prefer if they don't go the ubisoft-route and just litter the whole map with copy/paste missions, collectibles etc. I guess the key is just having interesting sidequests that are not just "get me ten random rocks scattered throughout the desert but cool stuff like the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion or the Daedric artifacts in Skyrim.Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 12:33 AM
About freeking time we Rockstar...Now all we need is half life 3 lmaoTuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 12:40 AM
@3 it seems plausible since they did made the Warriors videogame. playing as Yul Brynner or Steve McQueen is something that piques my interest. unless it's "Red Dead Seven".Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 05:37 AM
Red Dead Resurrection Red Dead Resolution Red Dead Reloaded Red Dead RiddanceTuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 07:38 AM
Two, maybe three, of the silhouette look female or is it just me?Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 08:17 AM
"They didn't really leave us anywhere to go with Redemption anyway." How about Marston's son and how he grew up without a father? How about WW1 looming around the corner, how about old west slowly dying and new technology taking over? There are dozens of great stories to be told in a sequel! Unfortunately, I thinks this will be a remake, those silhouetthes look like exactly like the ones from RDRTuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 09:28 AM
The Magnificent 7 - The Video game. That's what this is. For sure!

Yesterday, Rockstar Games tweeted a not-so-cryptic teaser image on Twitter, hinting that a Red Dead Redemption follow-up could potentially be in the offing. You can take a look at the ultra subtle image above.
But today, the developer has teased that it's almost certainly going to be a Red Dead game of some description: the tweet below shows off artwork that is clearly set in America's frontier. Take a look below:
