Is There a Metro 2035 Game Coming in 2017

Is There a Metro 2035 Game Coming in 2017?

Richard Walker

With Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light establishing the Metro saga in video game form, it seems that the next Metro video game could be slated for 2017 according to the English language site for the latest book in the series. The latest book is called Metro 2035, and apparently the game will pick up where it leaves off.

Metro 2035 is billed as the final part in the Metro trilogy in which protagonist Artyom "struggles to get the people back to the above world they once ruled". According to the website's blurb, "everything you knew about the world of Metro is tuend upside down." Could the game follow suit?

"It all adds up to something," the site's description continues. "Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead..."

If the Metro 2035 site proves accurate, then we can indeed look forward to a Metro 2035 game in 2017. As for who will be developing and publishing it, dates and other details, stay tuned.

  • The Metro series, specifically Metro 2033 Redux, is one my favorite FPS titles. I welcome a third Metro installment with open arms. 4A knows how to make an atmospheric, tense experience.
  • Day one buy
  • I seriously hope so, because 4A definitely disapointed pretty much all of their fans by announcing a VR exclusive instead of their next metro game.
  • please be true
  • Yes yes yes!! Day one buy for sure.
  • This will be epic. Thanks to Metro Redux, the whole Trilogy will be built to at least Xbox One standards. Maybe Metro 2035 will be 4K native on Xbox Scorpio.
  • Fuck Yes.
  • if you haven't read the books, please do. The games are made only better by reading them. Also the librarian scene is so much more horrifying in book form... Trust me O.O
  • Definitely buy this day one. Loved the metro games
  • @8 Bourbon's death is the book is also an equally horrifying scene, as opposed to his death in the game, fighting bandits.
  • Here's hoping this is true... @#8 - It's weird, this is one of the rare cases where I prefer what's being done in the adaptation to the stories in the books. The books aren't bad by any means, and it might possibly just be a spotty translation, but I prefer the story in the games...
  • Yes! A new Metro game Nooooooo! The final one!
  • I still very much need to finish these games. I hear nothing but praise, yet every time I find the time for them, I get pulled into other things. Well, there's a big gap between DR4 and RE7, so perhaps I can get them done over the Christmas Period!
  • Meh, prequels were ok.
  • Please be true. I love these games.
  • Wow 10 spiler alert. As always, fuck you
  • Day one.
  • @16 Wow, the game is 6 1/2 years old, and the remaster is 2 years old. Did you know that Sonny dies in Godfather? As always, boo fucking hoo nobody cares.
  • I did enjoy the previous volumes, granted not the DLC which I found to be bullshit for the most part. But the games themselves were amazing.
  • this just made my day, after the bad presidential election. (yeah, nothing to do with Metro,) but still. SHORT WORDS! I CAN'T WAIT.
  • say what
