Rise & Shine is an old-skool style "think and gun" shooter coming to Xbox One next week, bringing a blend of arcade shooter, bullet hell, and puzzle platforming to "create a new blend of strategy and viscera". You play as Shine, who using a host of add-ons that you can change on the fly, is able to deal damage, solve puzzles, and perform a variety of other tasks.
"Guide projectiles through intricate mazes, electrify damaged equipment to discover new pathways, and juggle 8-bit fruit because why not?" the game's description reads. And despite Rise & Shine's pleasing animated cartoon visuals, it won't be a walk in the park to save 'Gamearth', as you'll need to dash past missiles, avoid unseen traps and take on a lethal armada of enemies, including towering robot bosses, zombies and giant death wheels.
A colourful hand-drawn scrolling shooter, Rise & Shine is looking pretty darn inviting indeed. Check out the pre-order trailer below to see for yourself. Rise & Shine will be heading to Xbox One on 13th January 2017 priced $14.99/£11.99, and you can pre-order it here.
