Ubisoft has announced a new VR project - titled Transference - with Elijah Wood that seems to revolve around the idea of uploading brain data to online realms, and then explore that from within VR.

Ubisoft has stated that it wants the idea of VR to stay with you, even when you take off the headset. The project seems to owe a lot to the Black Mirror episode in which explores the same idea - you'll be observing other consciousnesses and apparently, 'you'll always be safe' in these experiences. Something tells us that's incorrect.

The game will be available spring 2018 in VR and traditional platforms: PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The project is set to launch Spring 2018.
