Battlefield: Bad Company Now Available in the EA Access Vault

The original Battlefield: Bad Company has been added to the growing list of games available on EA Access, available to play via The Vault right now. The 2008 Xbox 360 game went backwards compatible on Xbox One back in August.

Battlefield: Bad Company is still held up as one of the finest entries in the series, instrumental in the development of DICE's Frostbite Engine and the franchise's trademark destructible sandbox. The single-player narrative too is still celebrated for its tongue-in-cheek humour and likeable characters.

Yet there hasn't been a Battlefield: Bad Company game since the second one in 2010, although that hasn't stopped rumours from emerging that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 could be coming next year. It seems unlikely that will be the case, however, so perhaps playing the original games on Xbox One might be the way to go for now.

Battlefield: Bad Company joins Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline in the EA Access Vault, alongside a host of other Xbox One and Xbox 360 EA games. An EA Access subscription costs $4.99/£3.99 a month or $29.99/£19.99 per year.

  • Spent hours playing this. Was far better than COD
  • Could never really get into this. Every match devolved down to the first person to get to the helicopter wins. And if you hadn't yet unlocked the means to shoot it down, you were toast over and over... and over...
  • Ooh nice. The campaign was good fun, especially with the destructible environments. Time to move my save to the cloud.
  • @2 there are far better things about this game than the multiplayer.
  • Hope this is a sign that Bad Company 3 is going to be announced next year.
