Despite doing the rounds for more than two years, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is still getting support, with Treyarch deploying update 1.27. The latest patch isn't your run-of-the-mill list of fixes and such, adding a new map and multiplayer mode for the 2015 Call of Duty.
There's the Redwood Snow map, which features harsh wintry weather to contend with in a familiar location, and Infected mode, which sees one player assuming the role of the infected, who must then set about passing on their virus to opponents. Infect everyone and you'll win.
The update also introduces "general performance updates", whatever those might be. In the meantime, Treyarch is also working on its next entry in the Call of Duty series, which rumour (and conventional wisdom) has it, could be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Seems about right.
