Forza Horizon 4 heading to the northern regions of the UK might not have seemed like the most obvious choice, but this isn't the Britain you might know with litter in the hedgerows, trolleys chucked into canals, or motorists honking angrily just for the sheer hell of it.

This is an idyllic vision of Britain, all gorgeous sunsets, long shadows, verdant green fields, rolling hills and fluffy clouds in perfect blue skies. It's a love letter to old Blighty, as Playground Games' Ralph Fulton told us, when we sat down to chat with him about all things Forza Horizon 4.

But why Britain? And why this particular region of the Lake District and Edinburgh? Why not Blackpool, Bognor Regis or a Tesco car park? For the answers to all of these burning questions and so much more, check out our interview with Fulton below and latest preview here.

Forza Horizon 4 launches on 2nd October, and we'll have a verdict for you soon.

  • yup...can't wait to drive James Bond's Aston Martin through a fairy-tale forest. just watch out for Blofeld and his gnome henchmen. ;)
  • so many people on my friends list have been playing the full game the last few days, and none of them are reviewers. I have no problem with people reviewing games getting it a few days early but giving certain players the full game for free a full 2 weeks before letting paying customers play it is pretty poor form.
  • @#2 Welcome to literally every game ever made. Also since this is also a PC game maybe they're playing pirated copies
  • @Richard Walker. Aye Britain is such a bad place. imagine it being set amongst the gangland shootings on the streets on America or amongst the plastic waste being washed up on the shores of remote paradise islands or driving through the mountains of waste kids are rummaging through in china just to make a Dollar.
  • I’ve had it the last week. Tried to download the demo and took me to the full game and downloaded that. I haven’t complained though. Looking forward to playing with more people on
